Just like in my 'Light Years' & 'Fever' polls, this is another topic/poll on what your opinion's are on the 'Body Language' era, which only had 3 singles & felt pretty much abandoned. However there were 3 scrapped tracks that were in the running at some point for release, which is your fave or least fave. Or if not one of these then I've included another question something else, if so then which one of the album tracks would you have preferred.
Secret (Take You Home) Contains a sample of ‘I Wonder If I Take You Home’ by Lisa, Lisa & The Cult Jam. Released as a promo single in Taiwan – Considered for release as the second single from the album, but lost out to ‘Red Blooded Woman’ Promises Considered for a full single release, likely to be the 4th single. However the album was pretty much abandoned by the summer of 2004, along with any plans for a tour and Kylie moved forward with her then forthcoming Greatest Hits collection Ultimate Kylie. Someday Inspired by Scritti Poltti – Green Gartside of said band appears as a guest vocalist. Sampled in ‘Good Girl/Carrots’ by Panda Bear. In line for a full single release, again likely as the 4th single, but was scrapped yet again after the project was abandoned. Some fan-made covers: This post has been edited by Nina West: 10th September 2020, 03:14 PM |

'Secret (Take You Home)' is the best song on the album and it was robbed of being a single.
'Someday' is one of the worst songs she's ever done. |

Secret (take you home) would have been the obvious choice and a better choice than chocolate.

Apart from loving days i couldnt have seen anything doing that well at all and im not even sure loving days would have done anything brilliant, a 4th single from BL i think would have missed the top 10, BL remains a very disappointing album for me overall.

The only track out of the 3 I could see working as a single is 'Secret (Take You Home)', but would have had it as the second single, with 'RBW' following 3rd & then ending with 'Chocolate' as the 4th & final single.
'Promises' - has a nice summery vibe to it & some very polished production. Maybe this could have worked as the 4th single, but its nowhere near as good as 'STYH'. This could have easily been another top 10 hit & perform similarly to 'Chocolate'. 'Someday' - Nope, a very standard album track that would have got lost in the crowd. Now this could have been the one to miss the top 10. Very forgettable & can't believe that 'Loving Days' wasn't even considered & this was. |

Chocolate as much as i love it would have really struggled as a 4th single, i think the label knew the public weren't fully behind body language so moved onto ultimate kylie very quickly and switched to a more popular sound with i believe in you which was a great way to kick start the promo for ultimate kylie.

I always thought Secret (Take You Home) would've been a good 4th single - but Still Standing was the obvious 2nd single that never was

Loving days is a fantastic track and reminds me of something from the impossible princess era but I don’t think it would have been commercial enough to have performed well in the charts.

Loving Days def was more fitting with her IP material and along with slow and chocolate they are the only high points on BL for me.

Loving Days had potential but the public's support of Body Language was minimal.

She probably could have squeezed a final Top 10 out of the album but it was pretty much dead after ‘Slow’ - the album sold really well off the back of the success of ‘Fever’ but faded away quite quickly (6 weeks total in the Top 40) and subsequent singles didn’t give it much of a boost.

The sound wasnt what people expected and I think overall it wasn't enjoyed, I really wish she had taken a more fever sound but different for the fever follow up as I think if she had she may have got another number 1 and def an album that would have sold more than BL.

I agree there shouldn't have been any more singles but if there was it should've been 'Obsession'.

Do you believe a 4th single would have achieved Top 10 status.
