Early chart this week as planning on listening to old music-only tomorrow and listened to no current tunes 29 days ago. And in shocking scenes, we have a massive ONE new entry, which makes my claims of this being a tad more exciting than the official chart seem somewhat dubious. Pretty much the result of me rinsing my Alt Now 103 playlist and a few newies I do like not having achieved enough streams/scrobbles yet. Plus the fact hardly any recent releases have exactly blown my head off. Also, I did have a long afternoon out at the weekend but couldn't scrobble much because of my rubbish phone battery. Will probably have 40 new entries next week.

In other news, I thought I would slide into my stats from two years ago as this chart is so slow and boring - I tried going back as far as six years but turns out I just wasn't listening to enough new music to make it look very interesting (the biggest song had seven plays over 30 days, Find U Again has 18 and there were things I have no memory of in the top ten), so this project is definitely doing its job, i.e. making me more engaged with contemporary tuneage. Scroll down if you like though.

Anyway, here we go!

01 (01) Mark Ronson feat. Camila Cabelo: Find U Again (13-3-1-1)
02 (03) Culture Shock: Renaissance (26-6-3-2)

06 (16) Sam Fender: Will We Talk? (33-16-6)
07 (02) CamelPhat feat. Jake Bugg: Be Someone (11-1-1-1-2-7)
08 (17) Friendly Fires: Silhouettes (28-17-8)
09 (08) Katy Perry: Never Really Over (18-15-3-5-8-9)
10 (10) Dinosaur Pile-Up: Back Foot (27-8-10-10)
11 (05) Adelphi Music Factory: Feel Right Now (Power!) (35-12-6-2-5-11)

OUT:

39 (29) Craig David: When You Know What Love Is (40-33-29-39)

You can stream this, but a better idea is to listen to my idea of what Now! That's What I Call Music 103 could have been.

No chart run bells and whistles, but here's what would have been the retro chart from this week in 2017!

01 Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean: Feels
02 Major Lazer feat. Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo: Know No Better
03 Little Mix feat. Stormzy: Power
04 Foo Fighters: Run
05 Lorde: Perfect Places
06 The War on Drugs: Holding On
07 Paramore: Hard Times
08 Everything Everything: Can't Do
09 Carly Rae Jepsen: Cut to the Feeling
10 Future feat. Kendrick Lamar: Mask Off

Hi! Thought I'd give your chart a look after you popped into the UK Chart thread tongue.gif

Giving Zulu Screams a listen now, sounding pretty nice, not something I'd listen to a lot though really.

Didn't realise Satisfaction Guaranteed featured Mokoomba ohmy.gif Haven't heard form them in years, the song didn't stand out particularly on the album but I might have to give it another go.

Might as well give your only new entry a listen as well, it's pretty decent but not my favourite!

Great chart biggrin.gif

Thanks! I've looked at my stats and next week's chart is shaping up to be far more exciting! Just haven't heard many tracks that I've felt a huge urge to return to for a couple of weeks. However, I have been adding an enormous amount of new music to my playlist so the rubbish-to-quality ratio has been quite high.
