READY.

5AM to be a massive winner but away from that, I Wanna Be and Wicked Love to SHOCK the results and slay please.

Posted by: Dobbo 14th August 2017, 05:42 PM

I expect Crying For No Reason will absolutely steamroll this (which would be a poor but predictable result imo).

Hopefully Katy On A Mission & Perfect Stranger perform decently!

READY TO GET STUCK IN

(For a popstar she really does do a disproportionately large amount of food themed photoshoots lol)

46-52

46. Who Am I (with Craig David & Major Lazer) | 6.44 Highest: 10 (George.koh), 8 (Cremey, HausofKatyB, Noahspike) Lowest: 5 (Dobbo, GavinDeeJay) 2 (Tawdry Hepburn)
= Hard to Get | 6.44 Highest: 8 (Klaus), 7.5 (Noahspike) Lowest: 5 (Davidson), 4 (HausofKatyB)
48. Sky's the Limit | 6.36 Highest: 7.5 (Klaus), 7 (Davidson, Noahspike) Lowest: 5 (HarryEzra)
49. Calm Down (with Four Tet & Floating Points) | 6.06 Highest: 10 (Cremey), 8 (danG, Klaus) Lowest: 5, (LewistGreen, gavindeejay, George.koh, NoahSpike) 4 (Jack, Josh, Liam)
50. Lose Your Head (with The HeavyTrackerz, J Hus, D Double E) | 5.93 Highest: 9 (Cremey), 8.5 (Davidson) 8 (Noahspike) Lowest: 4, (HarryEzra) 2 (Klaus)
= Heavy (with Mr. Mitch) | 5.93 Highest: 8 (HarryEzra), 7.5 (Noahspike) Lowest: 5 (360Jupiter, Davidson, HausofKatyB, Klaus)
52. Anywhere in the World (with Mark Ronson) | 4.9 Highest: 7 (gavindeejay) 6.5 (Noahspike) Lowest: 3 (TawdryHepburn) 2 (Jack, lewistgreen, 360Jupiter)

first out is 'Anywhere in the World' which should have been up there with one of my favourite tracks as it is a collaboration between two of my favourite artists!! I think the reason it doesn't hit the mark though is that it isn't a 'proper' track so to speak as it was written for Coca-Cola's campaign alongside the 2012 London Olympics, with the production featuring a range of sounds from Olympic sports. It is quite a special track in that regard as it does cleverly fit into the production but, as an overall package, it falls flat. Next up are two songs from 'Honey'. 'Heavy' is another song that falls quite flat and 'Lose Your Head' sees Katy only really singing the chorus, I find the raps to be quite cringy at moments. 'Calm Down' is perhaps a shock exit so early but I think a few of its vocal fans didn't actually rate! It was the first real teaser of the Honey project/album (if you don't count Turn the Music Louder) and I really hated it at first but have really warmed to it with more listens. I found the production to be quite irritating at first. 'Sky's the Limit' is the first 'Little Red' track out and it is the final bonus track on the album. 'Hard to Get' is the first from Katy's debut to fall and, again, it is the album closer! It's quite a chilled up-tempo track and I love the cricket opening as well as the fact that she includes her thank yous (or big ups) at the end of the track!! Who Am I also falls very early, despite being the lead single from 'Honey'. On paper, it should have been amazing and I was really hyped to hear. However, it is possibly one of the most disappointing first listens I've ever had of a song. It is the definition of a song falling flat, the production is incredibly weak (which really is a shock from Major Lazer!) and it just lacks the spark/emotion that Katy's other slower songs have for me.

Posted by: Dobbo 14th August 2017, 08:59 PM

Completely agree on Who Am I, that collab SHOULD have been utterly amazing but it was such an enormous letdown nocheer.gif even giving a 5 was v generous...

Posted by: Josh! 14th August 2017, 09:12 PM

No big losses there but I'm a bit shocked at Who Am I coming that low. I'm not going to say it wasn't a little disappointing but it's one of the only tracks I can really take from Honey, loads of it was just so uninteresting and there are very few tracks I consider going back to listen to nowadays and WAI is one of them ohmy.gif

41-45

41. Danger (with Jacques Greene) | 6.86 Highest: 10 (Noahspike), 8 (Cremey), Lowest: 5 (HarryEzra) 5.5 (Klaus)
42. Chase Me (with Sasha Keable & JD. Reid) | 6.79 Highest: 10 (Davidson) 8 (HarryEzra), Lowest: 5 (Cremey)
43. Tumbling Down | 6.71 Highest: 8 (360Jupiter, Cremey), Lowest: 5 (HarryEzra)
44. Honey (with Kaytranada) | 6.67 Highest: 9 (TawdryHepburn, Cremey, Davidson), 8.5 (Noahspike), Lowest: 5 (danG, gavindeejay, George.koh) 4 (lewistgreen)
45. Sun Goes Down (with Devlin) | 6.50 Highest: 7.5 (Noahspike), Lowest: 5 (Cremey)

Sun Goes Down came from Devlin's (remember him?) second album and it sees one of Katy's biggest step away from the dance genre. Honey is the title track from Katy's third album and sees her take on a more chilled track with the help Kaytranda, who released his own album a couple of weeks after Honey. It took me a few listens to fully appreciate it and it is a nice track but she has far better songs. Tumbling Down sits in the middle slump of Little Red (excluding bonus tracks) for me. It's my favourite album of years and it starts of incredibly well before taking a slight fillery slump with All My Lovin & Tumbling Down before bringing it BACK with an incredible second half. It is good but it is very much overshadowed by the rest of the album. Chase Me is another nice track where its not too dull but not too exciting either, one of my favourite parts of it is actually Sasha's addition oops. Finishing this run of nice songs is Danger, which is just really a summarisation of my thoughts on the previous three songs.

Posted by: Cremey 16th August 2017, 05:21 PM

How on earth is 'Calm Down' only 49th? ohmy.gif
One of my absolute favourites, so smooth. Shame to see 'Honey' out already too.

Posted by: StillJupiter 16th August 2017, 05:31 PM

Never really got into her Honey album as much. Some good tracks but a big step down from Little Red.

Still to this day am baffled by how average Who Am I was considering the names involved.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 16th August 2017, 05:40 PM

'Honey' is so lush. sad.gif

36-40

36. Got Paid (with Zinc & Wiley) | 7.07 Highest: 8 (Liam), 7.5 (Klaus, Noahspike) Lowest: 6.5 (Davidson), 6 (HarryEzra) 5.5 (Klaus)
37. What Love is Made Of | 7.00 Highest: 9 (Josh!, Liam) 8 (Klaus), Lowest: 3 (TawdryHepburn)
= Dreamers (with Hannah Wants) | 7.00 Highest: 9 (Klaus) 8.5 (Davidson), Lowest: 6.5 (Noahspike), 6 (360Jupiter, Cremey, HausofKatyB)
39. Freak Like Me (with Lee Walker, DJ Deeon & MNEK) | 6.94 Highest: 11 (danG), 10 (George.koh), Lowest: 4 (Cremey), 3 (360Jupiter)
40. Blue Eyes | 6.93 Highest: 8 (Klaus, Noahspike), Lowest: 6 (HarryEzra), 5 (HausofKatyB)

Blue Eyes is the first bonus track from Little Red and it's a great upbeat track! Freak Like Me is the most newest song on the list, having been released late last year and it actually charted higher than the lead single from Honey! It's a big house track and it is more along the lines of what Honey should have had more of (from the sound of what she wanted to achieve from that era). It is perhaps just slightly too repetitive but MNEK's addition really helps boost the song! Dreamers is yet another song gone from Honey but it's one of my favourites from the album! It's a great care-free, chilled but upbeat song! What Love is Made Of was the first taste of the Little Red era but was actually left off the album due to it underperforming. I have grown to really love it but it was a really poor choice of lead single and it isn't enough of a bold statement to return with. 5AM should have been released in its place rather than being hidden in Q4. Got Paid is from the Danger EP and is about going out on payday. It's a great fun carefree song and one I should revisit more! Also, just noticed Tinie's 'wanna here TT with the KDA and Katy B' in Turn the Music Louder sounds very similar to the way Wiley shouts out Katy here!

31-35

31. All My Lovin | 7.36 Highest: 9 (Cremey), 8.5 (Noahspike), Lowest: 5 (Klaus)
= Stay Down | 7.36 Highest: 10 (Cremey, Noahspike) Lowest: 6 (360Jupiter, Klaus), 5 (HarryEzra)
= So Far Away (with Wilkinson & Stamina MC) | 7.36 Highest: 8 (HarryEzra, 360Jupiter, Davidson), Lowest: 6 (Cremey)
= Honey (Outro) [with Novelist & Geeneus] | 7.36 Highest: 10 (Cremey), 9 (Klaus, Noahspike), Lowest: 5 (HausofKatyB), 3 (HarryEzra)
35. Why You Always Here | 7.19 Highest: 8 (Davidson), Lowest: 7 (HarryEzra, 360Jupiter, Liam, Cremey, HausofKatyB, Klaus)

Katy's debut finally loses another song with Why You Always Here which mainly got 7s apart from an 8 from Davidson and a 7.5 from Noahspike. Probably one of the biggest examples of where everyone actually agrees with each other! Next we have a four place tie!! Honey (Outro) deserves to be higher though, it's a beautiful ode to music and I think both Katy and Novelist have wrote some great lyrics for it. It's a fantastic way to close the album. So Far Away is another song to fall from Honey and this is a Wilkinson collab & therefore a drum n bass track! It is good but I would say its in the right position here. Stay Down is another deluxe track from Little Red and is another example of Katy slowing things down a bit. All My Lovin is far too high! It's one of the ultimate filler tracks for me and the weakest on Little Red, just a bit dull!

Posted by: Klaus 27th August 2017, 10:23 AM

One of her biggest hits is coming in the next batch, what could it be? ohmy.gif

Posted by: StillJupiter 27th August 2017, 12:50 PM

Hopefully the Ms Dynamite song. Or is the Ronson song out yet?

Posted by: Klaus 30th August 2017, 06:29 PM

26-30

26. Lights On (feat. Ms Dynamite) | 7.56 Highest:11 (Josh) 10 (lewistgreen, Klaus), Lowest: 4 (360Jupiter), 0 (Cremey)
27. Movement | 7.5 Highest: 9 (Liam, Cremey), 8.5 (Davidson) Lowest: 6 (360Jupiter, HausofKatyB, Noahspike)
= Crossover (with Magnetic Man) | 7.5 Highest: 8 (HarryEzra, 360Jupiter, Davidson), Lowest: 6 (Cremey)
29. Louder | 7.42 Highest: 8.5 (Noahspike), Lowest: 4 (Davidson)
30. Disappear | 7.38 Highest: 9 (Davidson), 8 (Liam), Lowest: 6 (Klaus)

Disappear amuses me purely for the fact that it follows 'Go Away' in the tracklist of 'On a Mission'. It has quite a fun melody, with Katy playing around with it all over the song. Louder was the b-side to her first single 'Katy On a Mission' and became quite popular in its own right! I remember it often lurked in the 100s on iTunes during its initial release (when I actually followed the iTunes chart) and I also remember a lot of people wanted her to explore more of that sound. Crossover is the second collaboration on Magnetic Man's album, following the single 'Perfect Stranger' which is still to come! Another victim of this debut era section is 'Movement' which did receive a video and it isn't really classified as a single. It's quite a chilled but funky affair. The incredible 'Lights On' somehow manages to only place 26th?!? It was her second single and allowed her to become more than an ambiguous one hit dance wonder and also helped to give Ms Dynamite some continued relevance in 2011! I think they both work great together and its a really great fun track, despite not having a clue what Ms Dynamite is saying in her second turn.

21-25

21. Next Thing | 7.79 Highest:9.5 (Klaus), 9 (Davidson) Lowest: 6 (HarryEzra)
22. I Wanna Be (with Chris Lorenzo) | 7.76 Highest: 11 (TawdryHepburn), 10 (HausofKatyB, Klaus, Noahspike) Lowest: 5, (Josh) 4 (Dobbo)
23. Light as a Feather (with Diplo & Iggy Azalea) | 7.71 Highest: 10 (Cremey), Lowest: 7 (HarryEzra, Davidson, Klaus)
= Hot Like Fire | 7.71 Highest: 9.5 (Noahspike), 9 (HarryEzra) Lowest: 6 (Cremey)
= Water Rising (with MssingNo & Geeneus) | 7.71 Highest: 10 (Cremey, Noahspike), Lowest: 5 (HausofKatyB)

Water Rising is another collaboration with Geeneus (aka owner of RinseFM which Katy is signed to/now a DJ of) as well as BJSC favourites MssingNo. It's one of the stronger album tracks from Honey. Hot Like Fire is another Little Red bonus track and probably has one of the fastest bpms for a Katy song! Light as a Feather on the other hand slows things down again, until we get to the drop, and it has some of Katy's more high profile collaborations despite being tucked away on the free Danger EP. This was of course released before Igloo Australia rose very high and dropped just as quick. I Wanna Be is FARR too low!! It was the saving grace of the Honey era for me having been disappointed with what had been released at that time, it brought be completely back on board as I was immediately addicted with its build up and life affirming production, matched with some brilliant lyrics. Anxiety really is a bitch. Next Thing is another brilliant track and a great opener to her best album, as it speeds its way through the song.

WTAF at the last few.

How is I Wanna Be that low down mellow.gif It's one of her ABSOLUTE BEST !!!!!!?

Lights On too low too ~

A mess.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 30th August 2017, 08:22 PM

'I Wanna Be' is her absolute best song ever by FAR. I am fewmin.

Posted by: WallIsSoGood 30th August 2017, 09:15 PM

I wanna be deserved better.

16 days later and still not into the top 19, hm.

Posted by: Davidson 30th August 2017, 09:47 PM

'I Wanna Be' is indeed gorgeous but that top 20 is so stellar that I can't even complain.

Her discography is just so strong.

Posted by: StillJupiter 30th August 2017, 10:33 PM

Glad Lights On is out, easily my least fave thing she's ever done and that's including half of Honey.

Posted by: Klaus 31st August 2017, 01:11 PM

16-20

16. Sapphire Blue | 7.93 Highest: 9 (360Jupiter, Cremey, Klaus, Noahspike) Lowest: 5 (HausofKatyB)
17. Witches' Brew | 7.91 Highest: 10 (HarryEzra, Josh!, Cremey, Klaus) Lowest: 6 (Tawdry Hepburn, George.koh, HausofKatyB) 4 (Noahspike)
18. I Like You | 7.86 Highest: 9.5 (Davidson), 9 (HausofKatyB) Lowest: 5 (360Jupiter)
= Dark Delirium (with Jamie Jones & Kate Simko) | 7.86 Highest: 10 (Cremey), 9.5 (Noahspike) Lowest: 5 (HarryEzra)
20. Still | 7.85 Highest: 11 (360Jupiter), 10 (Liam, Davidson, Noahspike) Lowest: 5 (danG) 4 (Dobbo, Cremey)

Still was released as the follow up single to 'Crying for No Reason' after the success of the later. Sadly, it failed to even reach 1/10th of that success but it is still a really beautiful song and shows how well Katy can do the ballads just as well as the dance numbers. Dark Delirium is another Honey track which has quite a dark production (quite fitting) but I wouldn't have placed it Top 20! I Like You is another Little Red track and was initially released as the b-side to the still to come 5AM and it features some quite playful lyrics! Witches' Brew was released as the technical final single from her debut and it's a brilliantly fun song that explodes into a fantastic chorus as Katy tries to make her man fall in love with her. Sapphire Blue shows another interesting side to Katy, my favourite part is 'and everything disappears' wub.gif

Witches Brew top 20 wub.gif I thought it would be lot more lower down so I am thrilled with this.

Posted by: Cremey 31st August 2017, 01:46 PM

'Dark Delirium' and 'Witches' Brew' 😍
So good to see 'Easy Please Me' still in as well, hoping it'll make top 10 at least.

Posted by: Klaus 31st August 2017, 06:23 PM

11-15

11. Easy Please Me | 8.35 Highest: 11 (Cremey) 10 (lewistgreen, HarryEzra) Lowest: 5 (Jack)
12. Play (feat. Sampha) | 8.29 Highest: 10 (360Jupiter, Klaus) 9 (HarryEzra, Cremey) Lowest: 6 (Noahspike)
13. Wicked Love | 8.14 Highest: 10 (HausofKatyB) 9 (Noahspike) Lowest: 7 (HarryEzra, 360Jupiter, Cremey)
14. Lover Like You (with Gorgon City) | 8.07 Highest: 9.5 (Klaus), 9 (HarryEzra) Lowest: 5 (Cremey)
15. Everything | 7.93 Highest: 10 (Cremey, Davidson, Klaus) Lowest: 6 (HausofKatyB) 5 (HarryEzra)

Everything is my biggest non-single standout on Little Red and I would have released either this or Play after Crying for No Reason, and then either Emotions or Still. Lover Like You is from Gorgon City's debut album and is a fantastic chilled track. I'm a big fan of Gorgon City and I'm glad that a collaboration with Katy really worked well, her voice works brilliantly with the production. Wicked Love is the highest Little Red bonus track and deservedly so! Its a big song, quite dark in tone that builds up to a great drum n bass chorus. Play is another Little Red album track and is a collaboration with R&B star Sampha. Their voices work so well together and is another brilliant highlight from the album. Easy Please Me was the fourth On A Mission single and is about Katy's struggle to be satisfied by men who approach her in clubs. It has quite a 'hard' production but that helps make the song so special!

Posted by: Klaus 31st August 2017, 06:28 PM

TOP 10

5AM
Aaliyah (feat. Jessie Ware)
Broken Record
Crying for No Reason
Emotions
Go Away
Katy on a Mission
Perfect Stranger (with Magnetic Man)
Power On Me
Turn the Music Louder (with KDA and Tinie Tempah)

4x Little Red, 5x On a Mission, 1x Other/Honey

(only just realised that means Dark Delirium is the highest placed Honey track mellow.gif (if you don't count Turn the Music Louder))

A great Top 10 on the whole, love that Emotions is there. I wouldn't place Go Away there though!

Posted by: Davidson 31st August 2017, 09:41 PM

'Everything' only managing an average of 7.93??? C'mon people, just listen to it. It is one of her absolute best for sure. I so wish it had been a single.

That top 10 is amazing. 'Turn The Music Louder' is the weakest left by quite a distance.

Posted by: Cremey 31st August 2017, 09:45 PM

Yeah, 'Everything' is far too low, definitely should've been a single!
Sad that 'Easy Please Me' just missed out on the top 10, love it so much. That production wub.gif

Can't really fault that top 10 too much because her whole discography is so strong, but I personally wouldn't have put 'Perfect Stranger' or 'Turn the Music Louder' that high.

I hope the 'Honey' doesn't damage her future success, it seemed to mostly go by unnoticed. It should've stayed a mixtape as originally planned, it seemed like such a rush release :'(

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 31st August 2017, 09:51 PM

What is 'Power on Me' and why is it top 10?

Posted by: Cremey 31st August 2017, 09:57 PM

The opening track from 'On a Mission'!

Posted by: HausofSZA 1st September 2017, 01:34 PM

Wicked Love doing so well heart.gif Hmm i'd have had Easy Please Me top 10 but it's a strong set in there anyway so ~

08-10

08. Go Away | 8.63 Highest: 10 (HarryEzra, Liam, Davidson) 9.5 (Noahspike) Lowest: 6.5 (HausofKatyB)
09. Aaliyah (feat. Jessie Ware) | 8.53 Highest: 10 (Liam, gavindeejay, Davidson, Klaus, Noahspike) 9 (HarryEzra, danG, Cremey) Lowest: 5 (Dobbo)
10. Power On Me | 8.50 Highest: 10 (HarryEzra) 9 (Liam, Davidson, Klaus) Lowest: 7 (Noahspike)

Power on Me is the opening track on Katy's debut album and was released as iTunes free single of the week on release day! Aaliyah was initially released as part of Katy's free Danger EP but was also added to the Radio 1 playlist! This buzz around the song helped it to become part of Little Red too. The song is two of my faves coming together and truly not disappointing. They work absolutely brilliantly together and I particularly love the 'call and answer' parts. Their harmonizing on the chorus is also wonderful. Go Away is another On a Mission album track which I know has some big fans on here!

Posted by: Dobbo 2nd September 2017, 10:30 AM

Her 2 faves of mine still in the running so that's cool.

Guess the only real disappoint for me so far is Lights On being so low.

Posted by: HarryEzra 2nd September 2017, 01:02 PM

Power On Me & Go Away are two of my On A Mission album track faves just superb heart.gif

Alliyah is great too I love that it was included on Little Red wub.gif

Posted by: Klaus 4th September 2017, 10:04 AM

05-07

05. Perfect Stranger (with Magnetic Man) | 8.68 Highest: 11 (Dobbo), 10 (HarryEzra, gavindeejay, Davidson) Lowest: 6 (TawdryHepburn)
= Turn the Music Louder (Rumble) [with KDA and Tinie Tempah] | 8.68 Highest: 10 (Jack, lewistgreen, HarryEzra, Liam, George.koh) 9.5 (Klaus, Noahspike) Lowest: 7 (Dobbo, Cremey, HausofKatyB)
07. Emotions | 8.64 Highest: 10 (Cremey, Davidson) 9.5 (Klaus) Lowest: 7 (HarryEzra)

Emotions is the highest placed album track and a deserving winner of that accolade! Another beautiful song from Little Red that is full of emotion ;o. Turn the Music Louder (Rumble) is Katy's most recent Top 40 single and, particularly important, a NUMBER ONE SINGLE. It came together through KDA producing an instrumental with Katy & Tinie both using it separately to provide vocals over. They brought them together to bag themselves a number one single for themselves. It's such an infectious song! Perfect Stranger is a collaboration with Magnetic Man and was included on both their debut albums and was a Top 20 single.

Posted by: Dobbo 4th September 2017, 10:26 PM

Perfect Stranger is incred wub.gif still sounds huge today, glad that made top 5!

Rooting for Katy On A Mission for the win now (it won't but still).

Posted by: HarryEzra 4th September 2017, 10:37 PM

Yes at Perfect Stranger and Turn The Music Louder joint 5th heart.gif

Posted by: Davidson 4th September 2017, 11:14 PM

Emotions so deserves the accolade of highest album track. It is just stunning from start to finish.

Posted by: Cremey 4th September 2017, 11:27 PM

Both of those at 5 are too high, but great to see Emotions at 7 wub.gif
I have no doubt that 'Crying for No Reason' will win (and deservedly so) but what a great top 4. '5AM'! heart.gif

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th September 2017, 07:01 AM

I really want and hope 5AM pulls a bit of a shock and steals it from CFNR (as much as I love that too)

03. Broken Record | 8.94 Highest: 11 (HarryEzra) 10 (Jack, Josh, Liam, Cremey, Davidson, Noahspike) Lowest: 7.5 (Math) 7 (danG, George.koh)
= Katy on a Mission | 8.94 Highest: 11 (lewistgreen, Math), 10 (Dobbo, Josh, danG, Liam, Cremey, Davidson, Klaus) Lowest: 0 (TawdryHepburn)

Just missing out on a 9 average are joint bronze medalists Katy on a Mission and Broken Record! Katy on a Mission was her debut single and its powerful production helped it to become a big surprise hit, ultimately becoming her biggest selling hit. It is a massive statement song to arrive with, and even though it's dupstep inspired production has faded with time, it still sounds so good today! Broken Record was last pre-album single from 'On a Mission' and possibly becomes a surprise high placer here! When this was released, I wasn't as excited about it as her other two solo singles but I've really grown to love it over the years.

As has been hoped/predicted, we have a 5AM vs CRYING FOR NO REASON battle for first place!

Both were from Little Red and were next to each other in terms of release but which do Buzzjack members prefer?

Seriously can't abide 'Katy on a Mission', never could. Bloody awful.

'5AM', 'Crying For No Reason' and 'Broken Record' is a decent top 3!

'5AM' FTW!

'5 AM' is great but it is by no means better than 'Katy On A Mission' or 'Broken Record'.

It is definitely slightly overrated on here. 'Crying For No Reason' is her all time best so it must win.

5am out of those two PLS

2 great tracks there, Katy On A Mission was such a HUGE song back then and although there had been small flashes prior it felt like a huge moment in the Dance scene (that and I Need Air). Would love for that type of sound to come back!

5AM would be my preferred winner by miles here.

KOAM would've been the perfect winner but I'll take Crying or 5AM (hoping for the latter as some sort of justice for it not being the huge chart hit it should've been).

01-02

01. Crying for No Reason | 9.71 Highest: 11 (Liam, gavindeejay, George.koh, Davidson, Klaus) 10 (Jack, Josh, danG, Cremey, HausofKatyB, Math, Noahspike) Lowest: 6 (Dobbo)
02. 5AM | 9.34 Highest: 11 (Jack, HausofKatyB, Noahspike), 10 (HarryEzra, TawdryHepburn, Josh, danG, Liam, Cremey, Klaus) Lowest: 6 (Lewistgreen)

and we have our winner! Crying for No Reason manages to gather the most 11s and take the crown from 5AM, both help to represent the excellence of Katy's best album 'Little Red'! 5AM followed the underperformance of 'What Love is Made Of' and became the first 'proper' single from Little Red. Despite gaining a higher peak, it got lost within Q4 and had a swift chart exit. It is the ultimate track in Katy's discography that manages to pull both the dance and pop sides together thought to create a magnificent output. I would loved to see it released when WLIMO was and I'm sure it would have gathered more chart traction, at least Buzzjack fully appreciate it! Crying for No Reason followed 5AM as a release, and was released in the more quieter February period. It managed to give Katy another hit as well as helping her gain a No. 1 album! It is a truly beautiful track. this time being the ultimate masterclass in Katy's lyrics, one of the best aspects of Katy. She's able to pour her heart out in the song and the production helps to really build up and express this pain and angst. It all builds to one of the best outros seen in recent years. A truly deserving winner!

Amazing top 3 there even if a little predictable number one (but CFNR is still very good so no complaints really). 5AM and Broken Record are probably in my top 2 of hers so pleased they finished top 3.

Can't say fairer than that as a winner, ultimately.
