Will Drake get a 14th week "sigh" he could be looking at another week or two at #1, his streaming sales is keeping him there. Hardly any new entries apart from Olly Murs in the singles chart.
Biffy Clyro 'Ellipses', The Avalanches 'Wildflower', Shura 'Nothing's Real' should be the highest new albums in the top 10, the former will probably bag the #1 album this week, other new albums from Lawson, ScHoolboy Q, Roisin Murphy, Heart, Aphex Twin and BADBADNOTGOOD.

Going by Amazon and iTunes, I'm guessing the Top 5 new albums consist of Biffy Clyro, Lawson, Shura The Avalanches and either ScHoolboy Q or Heart.
Biffy should easily be #1, I'm guessing in the 30-40k region, and could quite possibly sell well (or, in other words, drop less sharply than the norm) for the rest of the month as I believe they're touring.
I'd like to see Olly Murs in the top 5, and Calum Scott a bit higher in the top 10 too.
Great to see Shura in the top 5! Great album.
they Biffy should do 50k minimum
Olly Murs' weekly sales for his singles:
121,497 - Troublemaker (#1)
109,151 - Heart Skips a Beat (#1)
93,239 - Please Don't Let Me Go (#1)
75,081 - Wrapped Up (#3)
59,657 - Thinking of Me (#3)
54,452 - Up (#4)
52,150 - Dear Darlin' (#5)
46,584 - Dance With Me Tonight (#1)
27,583 - Kiss Me (#11)
23,772 - Oh My Goodness (#13)
19,895 - Army of Two (#12)
14,286 - Seasons (#34)
13,265 - Heart On My Sleeve (#20)
8,838 - Right Place, Right Time (#27)
7,562 - Busy (#45)
Don't know where it'll end up but I don't think it'll trouble the top 5 (of the above list).
Can imagine Lawson starting off well and dropping rapidly - Even with the low sales of be surprised if they ended up Top 10 considering the last 2 singles didn't trouble the Top 100 ('Money' may have scrape in until it was mysteriously made chart ineligible).
Hopefully a new number 1 but sadly U don't see it happening, he always seems to creep up and get it, I don't get it, I really don't, its not a great song, not a classic that will be remembered in 10 years
I think Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down has a good chance at No 1, if not this week then next week, although I am enjoying Drake's run at No 1, 13 weeks and counting.
CHART NEWS:
Johns new single probably won't make the top 100 come Friday. Such an awful song!
Bloody hell at John Newman - The song is diabolical but he's looking like he'll miss the Top 100!
This Girl is obviously going to miss out getting number 1.
Who's the contender now? The Chainsmokers?
Jonas and Calum are too low on streams to even consider being a number 1 challenger.
Really hope Selena Gomez can get the double this week and go Top 40 with 'We Don't Talk Anymore' and 'Kill Em With Kindness'

Great to see The Chainsmokers up to 3!!
Will probably get to 2 by Friday
Now Drake is even at #1 in the mids simply relentless!
Lawson Was hoping this would be Top 10 in the first update.
The Chainsmokers are a lot higher than I expected I think they could mount a serious challenge next week!
I'll add the Music Week sales once the full update has been posted, but Drake is on 17,810 in the singles and Biffy Clyro are on 27,110 (22k ahead of Adele).
Have to hand it to Rick Astley - His chart run has been 1-3-4-8 and he's back in the Top 3 mids and well on his way to Gold! A few months ago I probably would have predicted a 36-88 chart run at best for him. He also seems to be one of those acts that really see big boosts from any type of promo.
Final Song a safe top 30 then... amazing i hope it can just about snatch #25 by Friday but I can't see it happening for this week!
Major Lazer need to drop their song this Friday or if that fails, let's hope the NOW 94 effect can push Drake off
How many sales between 2 and 3? Can't be much surely
King Drake has had enough of Kungs having his moment in the mids only to take it from him at the end of the week, now he wants it all. He won't stop until One Dance has a billion million streams and every last person on Earth has heard the song at least 1000 times. We may as well all just accept this now.
(Please Major Lazer debut at number one soon, please? )
This'll be Drake's 14th week at #1 right? The video for "One Dance" is apparantley dropping soon - so he might be able to get 15-16 weeks at #1. Although the video may eat into his spotify streams a bit.
Drake sales are going to drop somewhat. He's below 400k for first time on spotify since god knows when and is down to 0.4 on iTunes. So possibly sales of 55k tops this week.
If Chainsmokers can surpass Kungs on spotify and hold their double lead over Drake on iTunes, its possible they could beat him next week.
For all Drake's dominance, he's only been holding to number 1 very narrowly for successive weeks, it doesn't take much change to knock him off. Its not as if he's been leading by 20-30k.
I can see Don't Let Me Down being the next number one single.
One of the best songs of the year!
17,810 is about a 17% week-on-week decline for One Dance (that's the biggest for well over a month).
If that carries through the rest of the week it'll be on for a pretty low 49K total come Friday.
With sales that low, maybe The Chainsmokers could get a week in at number one before Major Lazer release in 2 weeks.
Would certainly seem odd having them at number one when the likes of Calvin, Sia and JT couldn't make it, but it would be well deserved.
Another decent week for Seventies/Eighties Artists
3. Rick Astley - 50
5. ELO - All Over The World: The Very Best Of ELO
25. ABC - The Lexicon Of Love II
33. Heart - Beautiful Broken
Is Drake not on Now 94 then?
He is but with the year old Hotline Bling
One Dance does not make an appearance.
Ah what a bizarre choice. The people who playlist the Now series do make some odd choices sometimes though for sure
How would the Now cd affect one dance?
Whilst the Now 94 compilation doesn't contain any number 1 singles at the moment, it is of course possible that a few tracks could go on to become number 1s in the near future..
It would have been far more sensible however for Now to move over to bi-annual releases like they used to have in the 80s and early 90s.
In fact 750k is quite reasonable for an Easter Now, they never pass a million so it's done very well in this climate. Definitely can't see them chopping a volume out if sales stay at this level. They do need to cut back on the uninspired spin-offs though, they're more immediately damaging to the brand I'd say.
My mistake, that was the Q2 total I quoted - 750K is actually above 727,604 that Now 90 racked up in its first few months so it seems to be actually increasing sales at the moment. Impressive!
I assume as well as was claimed above that they forgot about Hotline Bling last year even though it became a hit and so added it as the first single from the current album with One Dance to follow later in the year. They normally like to include all an artists hits from an album in order from what I can see.
Sorry to sidetrack the mids thread further but IIRC “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” was not on a Now either, but there was a gap from Now 19 to 20 (which to be fair they could have done with this year).
One Dance now has 0.4625 of Don't Let Me Down's sales on iTunes and 0.3797 ahead of it on Spotify.
MO is doing so well on iTunes and Spotify but it's #31 on the Update? Disappointing
There were mainly just streaming sales in the daily update for Sunday (Saturday's streaming obvs - cos its always a day out) and Drake is still doing around 6.5K/day.
Chainsmokers are close at around 4.2K/day, and Jonas Blue is further behind at 2.7K/day.
Given his weekly sales are pretty steady at 13K/week - that would suggest around 2K/day in download sales and a requirement of being pushed down to 0.4651 by Chainsmokers and 0.3448 by Jonas Blue on Kworb which is not far off actually.
[quote name='danG' date='Jul 12 2016, 01:27 PM' post='5442044']
That Spotify lead is still large enough for him to secure #1, seeing as Spotify counts for more than iTunes now
Chainsmokers are ahead though if you add them up.
One Dance down to 4 on Apple Music.
Chainsmokers at 2 on both iTunes and Apple Music
I'm not complaining, but is there a reason ABC - The Lexicon of Love II has gone back up the charts?
Rick Astley going back up in the top 3 o_O
Ffs. Someone knock drake off already. Streaming has made a mockery of the chart....
Just curious but why have pop style and one dance had so different chart runs even they released same day same artist 1 is looking at 14th week number 1 the only got a few weeks top 40
Because Pop Style was pretty poor in comparison.
(or it didn't connect with people & got overshadowed)
One Dance is just a more popular song, probably more commercial too? The iTunes #1 effect + it actually getting playlisted will no doubt have helped also.
Pop Style was essentially the B side to One Dance, it was never going to be a huge hit in its own right.
Could Too Good claim #1 in the future?
I blame Hadji actually - his constant support of a song when it looked like debuting at #1 only to drop that support immediately a new challenger looked like deposing it the following week.
That kind of disloyalty has lead to the general public sticking their two fingers up at him and keeping the #1 there for AGES.
New Zayn songs could finally put an end to Drake's weeks at number one
New justin beiber possibly
Never fear, people. Britney* & Tinashe are coming to SAVE us! They're coming for that number 1 & 2 SMASH on Friday. #DrakeWho
*potentially
Chainsmokers now at 2, Jonas Blue up to 3 in the midweeks, Calum Scott at 5.
Update coming shortly, bear with
Ooh glad to see a fresh top 5 aside from Drake ofc. We are being treated very specially this week with movement. Now for Shawn, Kent & Ariana to be top 10 (obviously the latter won't be this week)
Drake is about 1400 ahead, looks fairly comfortable for him again this week.

Thought it'd be worth mentioning, Don't Let Me Down is ahead of One Dance on Apple Music now, not sure how much that contributes but it's still something.
Thought Shawn and Charlie would be a few places higher considering their iTunes/Spotify positions atm!
Finally an exciting top 5!
I wonder if Chainsmokers could snatch it from Drake... they've closed the gap slightly (although depends if there are missing streams I guess).
Should be close though
I don't think The Chainsmokers will nab it this week but they certainly could next week Could be the first song to not make #1 on either sales or streams but get there officially?
yay at selena with 2 entry at top 40
Yes at Selena coming for the double Top 40 entries
Glad Jonas is #3 and hopefully Calum can move up to #4.
Is Piece Of Me in today's update?
What chances do people give Jonas blue of getting to number 1 next week?
He's currently selling at a 3-1 ratio on Drake on ITunes and is rising rapidly on Spotify, hitting 200,000+ streams now. If he can increase his lead on Spotify and maintain his lead on ITunes surely he has a really good shot next week?
Any news on Olly Murs position in the singles?
This chart!
1 Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance (34,392)

5 Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own (29,923)
Has Say It cracked the top 100?
Where are Light it Up & Fast Car? (please say they've dropped out)
Come on Chainsmokers!!
Would love to see the Chainsmokers grab a week at #1 but also kind of think Jonas deserves it too after having 2 iTunes #1's now but never getting to the top officially!
Treat You Better is amazing, glad it's probably going to be a top ten success
If only The Chainsmokers could get a little nudge, that could finally put an end to Drake's run.
By my calculations, if both One Dance and Don't Let Me Down sell exactly the same in the next two days, One Dance wins by 748 copies.
Isn't it about time somebody toppled Drake off number 1? Song is ok but nothing special.
