Agreed; the show has been on borrowed time for years now. the format is laboured and just overly manipulated. It jumped shark years ago.

It would be the right decision, if true

Last year's was the worst series yet and if we do get S16 this year with the same judges it'll only get worse so I'm not surprised that it may get axed soon.
One suggestion in that thread is an all-star edition with previous contestants. If they could get some of the big names back on (Leona, Olly, any ex-1D member) and have Louis Walsh, Sharon and Cheryl coming back to the panel for its final series that would give the show the send-off it deserves. But that probably won't happen. |

3 or 4 years ago, I'd have been gutted but it's really died. The last season was diabolical, pretty much a parody of itself.
The All Stars idea is great but with how Syco has f***ed over a lot of the best names, I doubt a lot of them would want to come back. America's Got Talent is currently doing a similar spin-off season but it's acts from all round the world (for example, Susan Boyle, Attraction, Paul Potts, Lost Voice Guy and Tokio Myers from the UK series have competed) and it's a great idea because the talent level is insane but it works because obviously Got Talent has a wide range of acts on offer. The public are probably just fed up of music talent shows, especially when The X Factor still takes itself far too seriously and thinks it has the clout it had at its peak, it just makes the show look far worse. |

It’s coming back as a celebrity version, basically X Factor Battle Of the Stars *___*

Danny Tetley jailed for 9 years for child sex offences. Hope he rots. Awful to read what he did.

Didn’t know where to post this but Lloyd Daniels has now spoken out re the show stating that he wasn’t able to come out whilst he was a contestant.
What a year it’s been for ex contestants speaking out about the show years later. A shame. This used to be the best show in the UK,a real event, unmissable TV an inescapable show. I remember all week being excited for each live show, looking at song choices even voting multiple times looking back I think from 2012 onwards it actually begun to spiral but the last few seasons and the spin offs I just can’t cope with. Will it ever even come back now? |

I think it'll be rested for a few years, then be brought back.
They should've rested it after 2016 tbh, and brought it back next year. |

They should rest for at least three year if they want the return to be a success.
I think as soon as the charts moved to streaming too it made it difficult for any act from a talent show to make the same mark they did when it was a sales driven chart. They never produced a successful act from when streaming got counted to the charts aside from a few one hit wonders. |
