I'm glad this came out to cement the case in people's mind (and at such great timing), but I have to agree that (for many reasons) I found Framing and Controlling were a lot more compelling and rich than B vs S.

I loved this. I thought it was very well directed and I thought they pieced together the important info very nicely. I especially loved the last few minutes (the flashbacks over the audio of her testimony in Court - incredible)

I hope Britney in the months ahead does a big interview and really kicks home the torture she has experienced at the hands of those who were meant to protect her and can get the opportunity to live her life as she pleases.

Having not watched any of the previous docs and also not really knowing a lot about what was going on with Britney, I learnt so much from watching this.
I was pretty shocked to be honest. I knew that people were in charge of Britney's financial decisions, but not her personal ones. Bits that suggested she couldn't make her own decision on whether to even go out shopping with a friend just made me think WTF is this all about. It's like when a child is at primary school and the parents make the decision for them to go on a play date and who with and when - only with a 30 year old worldwide superstar. The scene where she was "allowed" to drive her car, but she was the only person who didn't know about the "surprise" until she got there. All those albums she made, tours she went on, the Vegas residency... none of it properly decided by Britney herself. Just put her on the stage and let her dance and sing because "Britney always loved performing". I wondered just how much she was ever allowed to say No? |
