Tears on my Pillow was one of 4 UK Number 1 hits for Kylie while working with PWL.
In contrast Celebration, her final PWL single, resulted in her lowest charting single with PWL.
Both songs are not among her most popular.
But from the 2 singles, which song do you like more?

My two least favourite Kylie singles, both pure and absolute torture and I wish didn't even exist.

'Tears On My Pillow' is the worse though.

I don't dislike either song anywhere near the levels that other people dislike the songs.
Kylie never performs Tears on my Pillow, she seems to want to leave it in the past but Celebration has got multiple performances over years.
When performed live, Celebration does get the crowd going and Kylie delivers it very well in a live setting.

I have a soft spot for Tears on My Pillow. On the Golden tour she actually performed a little of it in Nottingham (my date) & Birmingham, it was a really cute moment. wub.gif

I dont fully get the hate for Tears on my Pillow.
Kylie has delivered many a worse song since those days.

"Tears On My Pillow" is clearly the superior track out of the 2 & actually don't mind it, her voice does shine on it and plus it was a chart topper (probably because Kylie was at her peak). "Celebration" is ok if not a little bland and by the numbers cover, coming at the very end of her PWL days and the #20 peak is not exactly a fitting farewell.

Closing the PWL chapter with a cover, was a disappointing move, and the chart position reflected that.
They should have went all out for that final singles.
The studio version doesn't really go anywhere and is flat but Kylie really does bring it to life live.
Based on studio version, Tears my my Pillow is much superior.

Based on the actual single itself I much prefer tears on my pillow but I really enjoy some of the live versions of celebration. I voted tears on my pillow and ya celebration was a poor final pwl single.

I think unless they had come up with an absolute killer single nothing would have performed majorly strong for Kylie.
What Kind of Fool was a very solid pop single and it was met with limited success, a song i think deserved greater success.
It is welcoming to see Tears on My Pillow do well in this vote as Tears on my Pillow doing well is a rarity.

It is welcoming to read that TOMP has some genuine fans around, as i have previously said, Kylie has delivered many a worse song than TOMP.

Celebration charted better here in Ireland going to number 11 and tears on my pillow went number 2, I was surprised tears on my pillow didnt go number 1 here as kylie was getting more number 1s here at the time than in the uk.

Ireland has been successful for Kylie down through the years and as you mentioned in different threads it is disappointing she wont promote there anymore.
Into The Blue managed Top 10 in Ireland indicating the fanbase is still there.

Kylie has had 6 number 1s here although 5 of them came during kylie and enjoy yourself eras but it's a market that has been good to her, and into the blue was a top 10 for her a last top 10 but a more recent top 10 than she has in the uk.

Always had a soft spot for 'Tears On My Pillow', I think Kylie brings a nice charm to the song, unlike on 'Celebration' which is quite karaoke.
