Chart Commentary

A big thank you to all those 16 of you who commented on last week's personal chart, including Sven10, Jason, Sonia Fowler, toffonews, PeteFromLeeds, twentyonehorrors, Josh., Dobbo, Addy Boo!, tuzapicabit, Count Snakula��, Mango, Dannoween, 360Jupiter, Jade-o-Lantern and Taylor Jago.

A new #1 this week has emerged in the shape of NEIKED feat. Dyo. This unknown success has swept the UK and Sexual is my favourite song this week (even though I recently submitted a song by the same title to the Buzzjack Song Contest earlier this month).

Röyksopp drops whilst Armand rises, these two songs have been around the Top 5 of my chart for some time now, and there seems to be no letting up for them! Climbing over 30 places to #4 is Years & Years with their offering for the recent Bridget Jones' Baby soundtrack. In Fifth place is the highest new entry this week which is popular on everyone's chart at the moment, and that is Rockabye.

Climbing this week are Majestic, Kideko, Nevada and Tom Zanetti. I'm loving the nostalgic lyrics from Raised In The 90s and The Mack samples one such song that I was raised to hear and adore at the time! You Want Me has grown on me this week too and that's the reason for the climb there.

Other new entries from Wilkinson, Lucky Charmes, Chase & Status, PaperClap and Porter Robinson & Madeon complete the chart this week. All within the dance genre these tunes have all had some appeal to me recently and they get credit given to the, this week.

There are also re-entries for John Gibbons and KDA feat. Tinashe. Would I Lie To You which was a cover of another 90s hit, is possibly my favourite cover of 2016 so far. With the launch of the music video for Just Say, it got me listening again to another former chart entry which I got to liking once again!
