They've been posting loads of old pics recently, teasing this - so I guess there's a chance it will be in their older style.
It could be a new single to promote a greatest hits ??
If it’s anything as bland and awful as Girls Like You, I won’t be interested. I also won’t hold my breath that they’ve gone back to an older sound.

I actually quite like it! It does feel a bit old school Maroon 5 without being dated. Much better than most of what was on the last album.
^That sums up my thoughts. Yeah, it's quite good and doesn't try to sound like something they're not. A promising comeback, believe it or not!

Don’t think this is very good. Quite a weak comeback track and will be surprised if it does well!
excellent start in the US, #1 on iTunes selling double than #2
and #16 on Spotify, which is great for a non-urban track
Not a fan of M5 (except Moves Like Jagger) but they have done very well to stay relevant for so long. R1 played this yesterday - and I recall them sleeping on MLJ for ages before they finally caved in. And then played it loads as a recurrent for years after, as if they were somehow apologising.
Girls Like You is one of their worst ever. This is much better.

Taken aback by how good this is! It's very minimal but works so well, Levine's vocals are on point. One of their best in recent years.

Managing to climb into the Top 40 at #19 for them. This is all right from Maroon 5.
And it did make the top 10 this week, at #10!
Making it their 11th top 10 single, and first one without a feature since Sugar in 2015.
They are one of the few bands from their generation still able to achieve hit singles.
Most of the bands from the early 00's have either split or find success only on the album chart.
Very true and their albums are doing ok aswell, their singles album has really built up sales since its release despite a low peak and will go platinum some time next year despite it missing loads of their singles.
Actually it's not usual for Universal to approve a release of a single that is sample cover and as a lead single. I mean they are not like Sony who wants to cover everything for higher profits like Westlife, Take That, discography, Bounce Back by Little Mix, Pretend by CNCO, Undecided by Chris Brown etc
Maroon 5 they would be thanking 'Moves Like Jagger' and 'The Voice' for reviving their career.
