I would definitely be here for this as a single! Moving on from 'Bounce Back' ASAP sounds good to me, especially with a song this killer.

Just saw this. So happy! I dont see why they would release a lyric video if its not a single? Plus they are performing on The voice kids finale so maybe they will perform this. Hoping it is a single!

Well, this day took a turn for the better. I'll be elated if this is indeed the case. Genuinely a career highlight.
They're performing on the Voice Kids tomorrow... is there even the slightest chance it could be this? I don't think I could stomach another Bounce Back performance, especially since it's already dead in the water.

Third single - not on the album, Top 10 but still kinda floppy
fourth single - Hit, bigger than second and third singles, revives the album and era a bit

I genuinely believe it'd smash if it was released, it's just a case of whether or not they'll be able to make it a single.

Please, please, please! Let this not be the end of Wasabi!
I'd rather see this one flopping than Bounce Back and this is so Little Mix in its quirky unique sound.
Make a fierce video with choreo and voguing, invite some RPDR alumnis and make it smash on streaming platforms.
They could promote it with the tour.
I doubt they'll perform this tomorrow, especially on The Voice Kids.

I cant imagine how they will perform Bounce Back on the voice kids, unless they change the lyrics like they did on the KCAs that time. I would prefer a wasabi performance though. Is it even possible for it to be a single?

They need to move on from the awful LM5 era tbh. They would be better off releasing a brand new BM/SOTME type single in October/November.

Its so frustrating. Its just like the time they performed TAU 2 months before it was even announced as a single. Really hoping they push this, it could be a huge hit.

This is brilliant and all, but it's clear that they're capitalising on the fact the song's gone viral on Tik Tok. I'm really not convinced it'll get the single treatment, unfortunately.

This now has ads on instagram and snapchat, its also gaining over 200k streams a day now and is still gaining on TikTok. they need to make this a single, its stupid not to.

Their wikipedia says it was released under syco tho, so maybe they had a contract to release 2 singles of LM5 under them and then they'd officially split?

Out of curiosity, Bounce Back is on playlists that amount to a 60M+ audience and is getting less than 600k streams daily.
Until today, Wasabi was on playlists that amount to a little over 2M+ and was getting over 200k streams daily.
It’s notorious, I’d take the risk, but if they even consider negotiating with Syco, they should hurry so that the momentum doesn’t fade away.

The number of videos on tik tok are decreasing but the streams are increasing. They need to release a video very soon if they are doing anything with this. The lyric video has done quite decent tbf.

It sounds like If You (Want To) (Have Some Fun) (Something On My Mind) but WAY WORSE. They're done. If THIS is what they think will get the public back on track, going back an album to boring, washed-up, paint-by-numbers, reductive, pastiche rnb, then they're done. This is worse than ITLM and that other one and that UTTER SHET Bounce Back track from 30 years ago! So reductive. It reminds me also of Britney releasing that robotic NOISE - something about space radars or something - from another album because the fans clamoured for it, and it was the worst song she ever did until Britney Jean stuff! No one outside the forums liked it. LEARN FROM THAT. This is really really bad. Plodding boring lifeless rnb about Watsapp. I know they were totally jealous of the Spices, but copying their rnb downfall is not the one

If they do manage to somehow release this, then I don't think there's necessarily an urgency to push it. Obviously it'd be better to strike while the iron's hot, but even if the Tik Tok trend dies down, then it's at least shown that the public are receptive to it, unlike their last two singles, which were entirely reliant on playlist support to keep them afloat.

Might have spoke too soon. The numbers on tik tok have doubled overnight with over 145k in one day. The streams on spotify have hit 211k in a day too. The girls seem to be on vacations right now so maybe its one last break before they start pushing this as a single which is what they seem to do before single releases?

This has been climbing more than usual on Itunes UK since yesterday, I don’t know why.
It’s been lingering on the lower Top 1000, but it’s now #322 and continuously climbing. It was on the #700s yesterday.

I'm trying not to get overly hyped (again) but God I hope they push this on radio and Spotify, tour video or otherwise. I honestly think it'd course correct the last three singles in such a massive way. Just imagine it pulled a 'Good As Hell' and smashed all these years down the line.

There's actually a lot more going on than I was expecting. I certainly didn't think there would be scenes of them singing to track.
Loved the scenes of Jesy singing in front of the mirror, just feels so powerful following from her documentary and given the content of the song.

It's to close the era, they don't have any commercial intentions for the song.
At the end of the video they blow up LM5 and it says "NEXT ERA PENDING", so it was just to round off the LM5 era.

Oh wow, I truly thought they'd stop at the lyric video! What a nice surprise I agree that this is a bit more interesting than the 'tour video' description would suggest. They all command attention so effortlessly without a whole lot going on. 'Wasabi' has held up as my 2nd favourite from LM5 ('Joan of Arc' remains an untouchable #1) so I'm glad that they've decided to do this, what a great treat for the fans.

I love Jesy but I wish she'd do something else in their music videos. You could cut and paste her posing, mannerisms, facial expressions and lack of energy/fun in to any of their music videos lately. She's a great live performer but she's so boring in their videos.
The others are always taking the piss and having fun and looking like they actually want to be there and that's two videos in a row she's just sat and looked pretty.

To be fair I'm assuming a lot was cut from the video, as at the end credits you see Jesy in a similar black/red leather outfit that the Jade and Leigh-Anne were wearing but it's nowhere to be seen in the video, and whilst there are a lot of different scenes for the other three girls, the only time we actually see Jesy anywhere is in that one take in front of the mirror.
A bit strange imo.
