There's a Dua Lipa quality to her voice which I hadn't heard before, this is absolutely fantastic from Malta!

Yeah this is definitely taking a lot of Cyprus’ votes, oops. Brilliant entry, their best in ages! I used to stan Malta a lot in the 00s but they lost their way a lot this decade.

Working with the same person behind Loreen's staging for Euphoria.

This is my favourite out of the few I've listened to so far (I like to always save at least some for the contest itself) - I think out of all the main top 10 contenders it works best as an actual finished song, rather than the feeling you're missing bits that the staging/performance will fill in on the night. If 'Satellite' can win then I wouldn't rule this one out, and Malta so deserve a win after so long!

This is easily my favourite this year. That drop is absolute dynamite! The response from the fans is lukewarm, but I put down to that the fact that those over 40 are not getting the liking the drop. As long as staging compliments the song, this is gonna eat up the youth vote and juries will vote for it because it’s bloody Malta.

As a Maltese'r' myself... may I ask why (I've seen this before in other rooms), there seems to be a thought that Maltese are favoured by the jury vote? Ira Losco asides, when did Malta benefit from Jury votes?
and yes I agree... we so want to win this... it's a yearly major event for the country If we ever win, the singer/s will probably be proclaimed a saint ' This post has been edited by xajnipi: 21st April 2019, 12:06 AM |

Malta have comfortably scored a top ten place with the jury in every semi final since 2009 when the jury panel was reintroduced. Thanks, Wow! I never knew this.... and considering how patriotic the country is toward Eurovision, it's strange that here we never mention this... sadly singers who don't qualify to finals, often fall from grace. Do you know where I can see such info, inc. positions, year-by-year? |
