I love this album, it’s gorgeous and been so relaxing to listen to over the weekend. I never bothered with her previous output, is it as good? Darling you have been sleeping on Stranger in The Alps - so good! She's doing a Zoom on Saturday for Banquet Records and I've got access woo. |

yes it's out, there are so many different vinyl versions that I even lost count... Haha it's ridiculous isn't it? Blue swirly, red swirly, sea glass, black & then at least two versions from record subscription companies. Did y'all see the playboy interview she did? Sadly the subreddit turned into a bunch of horny men asking for uncensored pictures. This post has been edited by Emily Haines: Jun 25 2020, 09:58 PM |

Californian indie singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers lands a Top 40 album for the first time with second album Punisher, debuting at Number 6. The collection was the most popular purchase in UK independent record shops, taking Number 1 on this week’s Official Record Store Chart.
new at #6!!!!!!!!!!!! unbelievable, really didn't have any expectations at the start of the week, wasn't even expecting this to be top 40 considering she had never charted before and Dead Oceans is a small indie label... |

Go Pheebs, she deserves it!
I was on the Zoom call she did yesterday with Banquet Records - it was so cool. She played 5 songs (incl. a cover of Sinead O'Connors - Black Boys with Mopeds) and the audience were able to ask her a bunch of questions which was really nice. |

The large variations of the vinyl elevated the chart position so it paid off to get the top 10 placement and bring album exposure.

After the initial flurry of Haim and Jessie Ware, I've found myself listening to this a lot over the past week and really is lovely. It's perfect for relaxing to sonically yet also interesting lyrically when you want to pay more attention.
I've downloaded her debut also and loving that too |
