On April 15th, Ant and Dec return to present the next series of Britain's Got Talent along with judging panel Simon, Amanda, Alesha and David to see who will be the next act to take to the stage at The Royal Variety Performance.
Hyped for this!
I don't watch much TV but BGT is one of those shows that I have followed since the very start. May not be quite up there with the peak of 2008/09 but still enjoyable.
More guaranteed thing about will happen in BGT is that David will put an novelty act through as his 'Golden Buzzer' act.
Great to see this back! Would love some help in the http://bgt.wikia.com/wiki/Home, especially by posting in the http://bgt.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:3906 which is always dead
I would love to see a non-child act get a decent sized hit from BGT though (The Neales Fathers' Day joke doesn't count ), Wayne Woodward has released some really good music but none of it has had any sort of push
Calum Scott (sadly) has had a million seller
I wish I could forget
I'm not that excited for this this time round, I think I may just tune in for semi-finals week unless there's nothing else to do!
Two of tomorrow's acts have been 'previewed' on the BGT YouTube channel - impressionist Jess Robinson and wacky Dutch magician Niels Harder
Have to say, I bet Niels will be the first act to be shown - that award has most recently gone to awful singer Vitaly Voronko and comb-player Narinder Dhani, both of whom a) weren't British, b) were dreadful and c) made the semi-finals.
I believe an act has been cut from a 8 year-old comedian calling Amanda a 'dog' as part of a joke.
Usually look forward to this but I'm so apathetic this time round, just seems like there's nothing new or exciting an act can do anymore & it's just rehashes of the same thing over and over.
Who are these two random kids they keep showing not funny.
This show really is tedious
The Missing People's Choir was inspirational, I highly doubt they'll be in the semi-finals though.
Ended up watching this becasue Saturday night TV is SO horrendous, jesus H Christ this girl singing And I Am Telling You is INCREDIBLE
Also loved the daddy mind reader magicians, I adore that kind of thing and can never see how they do it!!
I didn't really enjoy the last girl actually, that song has been done to death and much better than she did too, it was pretty average
The mind reader magicians were excellent though, really excited about what they'll do next.
I found the missing people choir dull af, it's ofc tragic all their family members etc are missing but it's Britains Got TALENT not Surprise Surprise. They were a nice enough pleasant choir but not my thing at all. I can't and won't slate missing people getting awareness and that maybe people could be find through the act but I hope they dont'cruise to the win or top 5 or whatever just because it's a good cause.
The singer was alright, she just really oversang the song
I'm not even one for sob stories but I'll admit that I cried at the Missing Choir, really really poignant.
The 8 year old spilling the tea though... *.*
SAVAGE INDEED!
I've seen there's been a little controversy over the 8 year-old calling Amanda a dog. I don't really see why - I could have easily called her that age 8 and if someone 20 years older had said that they wouldn't be laughing.
I was thinking it'd never end also
The singer at the end had more time than the allotted time you are meant to have for the audition. Surely you can't sound like that without a bit of professional help.......... Just saying is all.
Why do they seem so surprised at someone else being called Simon Cowell auditioning? Wasn't there one a few years back?
Am I the only one who thought Alesha's golden buzzer was dull?
2 for 2 Golden Buzzers being somewhat of a sob story, I think it was only a sort of "aw bless her she's so happy to dance isn't she nice" sort of way for the girl who was on about scoliosis. They were good but I saw better dancers of that sort of style in my friend's dance show at uni the other week
The 8-year-old magician and the dancers Gao & Liu were my highlights of this weekend's show! Pleased to see a couple of GOOD magic acts already this year, following in the footsteps of last year's winner.
I was expecting something AMAZING to be coming from that guy setting the ladder on fire. Lmaaaao at that being the entire act :')
WTF was that Johnny Awsum thing.
No offence but as soon as she revealed she has scoliosis I KNEW they were getting the Golden Just so predictable.
They'll most certainly have to change their act's name by the time the Semis come around too.
What is the weirdest act you've seen on Britain's Got Talent?
For me it would be the Humpty Dumpty woman.
Definitely the guy who farted to music
Has to be this guy for me:
The second time there has been a world record on Britain's Got Talent. Well done Ryan.
Not watched tonight's episode yet but didn't that balloon-popping dog break a world record a year or so ago?
The best World Record attempt on BGT was the Ferrero Rocher guy
Loved that last guy, I am just a total sucker for the piano the bollywood group earlier on were fun and that golden buzzer guy made me laugh. Some good talent tonight!
And he did a After Eight challenge a couple of years later.
I caught the comedian guy bc my friend sent me the Youtube saying I "have to watch it", he was bloody hilarious
The comedian was my favourite so far, he was excellent
Really liked the comedian, was not seeing a golden coming though! Didn't care much for the kiddies choir though, it all seemed a little too 'perfect'
A children's choir bound to go through...... With Pitch whatever they are.
And....... Surprise surprise they did so predictable.
Big iTunes boost for Gravity by Sara Bareilles please
Hoping yes 'Gravity' can have a boost.
Finally a bad audition.
That contortion group were by far & away the most impressive audition on this series so far.
Probably another series where my fave act aren't British
Here's my mini-prediction list
Jay Wynn: He'll get to the semi purely so they can give him 4 buzzes
The Boys: We won't see tham again
Martin & Faye: Low placing in the semis
Perfet Pitch Creation: Finish 4th or 5th in semis, or we'll never see them again
Grace & Ali: Last in final
Irshad Shaikh: This year's Jenson Zhu - he'll be deliberately bad in the semi but won't touch the Final
Angara Contortion Group:Last-in-semi fodder
Harry Gardner: He'll sing a different song in the semis and scrape through to the final where he'll sing this again
John Parnell: Either gets sent home in next round or 3 buzzes in semi
Dizzy Twilight: Anyway, another for last in semi methinks
Another prediction - the mother and daughter (who were awful) will turn up at another audition and will do a lot better.
I've seen less bad auditions than usual in the last couple of weeks.
Did the actor who played Robbie Roscoe in Hollyoaks take part in this show as a comedian in 2008 as a youngster? I'm sure he did.
All I caught this week was that DJ woman Queen x
Wtf was that idiot who got And and Dec's golden buzzer..... Didn't find him funny at all and the magic trick wasn't that particularly mind blowing
David Watson tried and failed on his 7th BGT audition.
The magician was too Lee Evans for me.
That dance group with the 15 year old was very uncomfortable to watch.
How many choirs this series?!
I too wasn't that keen on the magician, he was a nice fellow and I'm glad he got the golden, I just didn't really love his performance
Right I haven't watched barely any of this series but I SWEAR I saw actual Destiny Chukunyere belting out Freedom in the preview advert of tomorrow's episode?
OMG IT WAS I THINK !!!
It's officially her as confirmed by spoilers released at midnight!!!
WAIT WHAT?!?!!! IS SHE ACTUALLY AUDITIONING OMG.
QUEEN GOLDEN BUZZER PLZ
Why are they putting mediocre singers through yet they snubbed a brilliant dancer that brings something totally different to the table.
Awful.
Probably the most sensible golden buzzer act David has put through.
That cocky dance guy who plagiarized Aidan Davis dance moves was so sure he was going through.
The dancer wasn't amazing unfortunately Seen that sort of stuff LOTS before
Yes, the dancer was good but he needed a better routine. The magician was seriously weird
He was fit but that dancer was so cliche, it's about time they stop spaffing over all the same stuff It was a bit harsh though for them to just do it to him and in the same episode go mad over a young male singer singing one of the most obvious talent show songs and sounded like he was singing with 3 dicks in his mouth, his diction was so offputting!
I thought Destiny and the opera girl were fab but the former is so clearly 7th in the semi fodder lmao, and again neither were anything unique.
Ridicolous, as all other Talent shows... anyway
'I won Junior Eurovision'
Simon: 'I didn't know there was one'
poor Ryan!
Destiny slayed of course though!
I am glad they didn't just put the dancer through based on his technical ability as the routine just didn't work. Definitely one who could benefit from coming back in a couple of years with more thought put into his audition performance.
That whacky magician was the clear highlight of this week's show for me! Strange but impressive.
The Japanese magician is easily my fave act this series so far!
Also liked that French dance group but that was about it from yesterday.
Who do you think will be performing on the BGT Live Shows?
People I'm thinking could:
Wednesday - Olly ft. Louisa all but confirmed surely?
Rita?
Miley?
Any of the 1D boys possibly
Some surprise release next Friday/Saturday like Tears from last year
Little Mix? (though I think they are touring)
Those names would still be far bigger than what we've had in recent years with the likes of Ricky Martin, OneRepublic & the cast of Motown.
Can't see too many big names performing, I suppose they'll invite back some of last year's finalists like Wayne Woodward...
5 After Midnight are launching a single next week right? Did they sign with Syco or another label, if the former then they must be potentials.
Olly Murs & Louisa Johnson
5 After Midnight
Fleur East - has new music on the way
Rita Ora
Little Mix & Stormzy
Charlie Puth
Camila Cabello
James Arthur
Katy Perry
These are the most likely. OBVIOUSLY I'm not suggesting that all of those will appear. But it's likely that a couple will.
Bleachers
Well the guest performances are completely underwhelming 😂😂
Little Mix and Camila though *.* <3
Full list anyone?
I wanted Ellie and surprised Olly isn't there!!
Confirmed: Little Mix WITH Diversity, Alfie Boe and a hologram of Vera Lynn, Camila Cabello, 5 After Midnight, Richard Jones (last years BGT winner), and the cast of the Bat Out of Hell musical
Clearly they were strapped for cash
Oh ffs
TBF, don't BGT always have more varied performers?
I just saw the dance troupe who did Little Mix... eh. Too messy and far too stiff for me.
I'm confused as to where Olly and Louisa are, why on earth are they releasing on Wednesday of all days without a BGT performance?
Glad to see Camila perform and of courwe Little Mix, meh at the rest but they do tend to have more variety, Jonjo is right and tbh so they should as it is a show for all types of talent. But I'm just not that excited for what they've lined up
Technical issues when we're one act in Is that a record?
Also think it's odd to put these guys first - I thought the show was buttering them up for a victory?
That police officer was horrendous 😂
What a mess!! That was dreadful as well 😂
The choir were ok but they were also better the first time
They played Work Bitch!
Oh so we finally get to see the clip when David told Kyle to get a vocal coach!
Putting him fourth is an interesting move though
That was ok. Felt more X-factor though tbh!
In Common AND Freedom *.*
Another poor act though 😂😂
The dance troupe were my favourite act so far but I can see them 100% coming last
This semi-final has been diabolical so far, but thank god for DNA who finally held my attention for an entire performance unlike the others before him.
This whole show is a mess today, I haven't liked anything so far. Isn't the first show usually the one packed with potential finalists to draw everyone in?
Also, so many good acts this year that didn't make it through. I feel like there has been loads of decent acts from abroad this year that haven't been shown since their audition - in particular the Japanese magician and the couple who could balance and lift each other and also did that move where she almost lay on the floor (don't know how else to describe them!!!)
Oh and I absolutely HATED these first time around so not really looking forward to this one either. :/
Why have they left this girl-group until last? Seems a little odd
I hate acts like Tyrone & Mina, I have to turn away because idk if I can trust stuff like that on live TV.
This is what happened to several of the good acts:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/3658618/simon-cowell-axes-several-britains-got-talent-performers-after-theyre-exposed-as-secret-professionals/
Literally have no clue who will vote for atm 😂
Yeah I'm surprised Destiny has been allowed considering she's won the biggest international children's music competition there is (HYPE FOR JESC!) but I'm relieved! Thankfully Simon's non-awareness of the competition seems to have worked in her favour, although I imagine she was asked to do the show for that very reason.
Well, that was a bit of a waste of about an hour. At least watching it on catch-up has shortened the ordeal. DNA were good but the others were either average or - in the case of the girl band - terrible.
My rank for this semi:
1. DNA (3 votes)
2. Empire Dance Troupe (2 votes)
----------(BIG GAP)-----------------
3. Kyle Tomlinson
4. Niels Harder
5. St. Patrick's Junior Choir
6. Miss Treats Vibe
7. Dan Graham
8. Tyrone & Mina (only because I couldn't bear to watch it)
DNA should ease through but I imagine it will probably be Kyle and girlband with DNA 3rd if they reveal the positions.
Still catching up with this series so only just seen the last auditions. Completely not surprised they binned off the 2 best acts for a load of crap.
That "DJ" has to be the worst act of all time on this show.
The choir at the start. Why did the backing track (that started to play) have a choir singing? Fix
I thought that as well - but then I thought the vocals were for a different song so assumed I was wrong.
I voted 5 times for the girlband cause they were ok! I didn't even use my other 5 free votes the semi was so poor 😂😂
I really think Simon's pushing the girlband WAY too much - they're nothing special really
Quite a poor semi on the whole oops. Gave all 5 of my votes to DNA who were the clear highlight.
Jade right for a change
Okay, what?! The contortionists and the Japanese acrobats were my favourites, hadn't even noticed they didn't make it!
BOO at Miss Treats being in the Top 3 ahead of the choir
The only winners, for sure! Thoroughly deserved in a weak semi.
The girls deserved to go through over that singer!
Destiny *.* and Dizzy, and Leah!! All my faves tomorrow ofc! Love them all bar the tap dancers!
I think the right 2 acts got through, glad Miss Treats didn't make it
Wanted the girls to go through
Who's the guest performer tomorrow?
Camila iirc *.*
The Cirque Du Soleil ones were taking the piss a bit but I think that Sian woman they axed was a bit silly, they have loads of singers of that calibre on XF, and then the
acrobats and razorblade guy for being on Asia's Got Talent? Loads of acts have done multiple Got Talents, that doesn't make a professional.
Haven't seen tonight's semi yet but glad to see DNA through, by far my fave from auditions. I just love stuff like that!
Just saw Miss Treats performance on Youtube, I liked it! But what's the deal with them not going on something like XF? :\ I really think unless you're an operatic, musically trained or under age singer, then I just think it's a waste of time on going on this? I don't see the point when XF exists. I guess it's coverage and that less groups/pop singers are likely to audition, so they get hyped more etc.. but I don't agree with it.
Hopefully now that they've been given the shot, they can get some sort of record deal.
Miss Treats would have been great on X Factor.
DNA the only bright spark from the semis.
Pales low in quality compared to Susan Boyle, Diversity, Flawless.
When Hollie Steel got through to the final........ That one year back in 2009.
The girl group were very good, but I agree - why wouldn't you go on XF like that? I think you have to be more niche, as Jonjo said, usually that's opera but there was that swing guy last year (not that he was very good, but he still came 2nd). I suppose it's an artistic thing, on BGT you sing whatever you've prepared, anything you want, whereas on XF you're gonna have to do 80s week and disco.
DNA were brilliant, I have no idea how they do it :/ There was a similar act on AGT that got revealed but I think they're better than that one, that one when I found out how they did it I was like oh but that doesn't apply for this one.
(also does D stand for daddy because the one in the black jacket can do anything to me)
Speaking of Wayne Woodward (the swing guy), I have to say I was a little disappointed his single didn't do anything officially but then again it didn't really get any promo
G'won Destiny babe
She was very good, but I agree with Simon that she shouldn't have done another Aretha
Effortless slayage
I loved her but it does kind of scream 6th in the semi She should have sang like Whitney or something, it makes it seem like she can't go outside of that style.
not that I'm watching but SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE NOT MY SOUL.
And now we have the 'talent' of jumping up and down whilst pretending to be mixing songs!
JESUS H CHRIST WHAT ON EARTH IS COMING OUT OF THAT KID'S MOUTH IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD
I'm not being insensitive but jesus christ that was actually painful to listen to.
Tonight feels like it is ridiculously competitive compared to yesterday's borefest of a show. :/
I have to say I've been quite disappointed so far tonight, Matt was good and I'm hoping Grace & Ali/Taptastik can surprise me
That opera girl was out of this world, bloody fab. Not my thing at all but she is such a talent! I didn't get Simon's comment about personality, I hardly think it's important for an opera singer, how can you show a bubbly 14 year old's personality with an opera song? I liked those two dancers as well, I tend not to like contemporary and it feels like they just flail about sometimes, but that really had a story and feeling to it.
That idiot who got Ant & Dec's golden buzzer has to be one of the most embarrassing "comedy" acts I've ever seen, I don't get how that was supposed to be good?!
His performance was okay, his tricks were obvious and I've seen them done before.
The girl who sang opera and the couple who danced are my favourites so far tonight (can't see the tap dancers changing that either).
Lmao thi is so cheesy, it's the stereotype of what people think tap dancing is
I'm really questioning their choice of closing act this series, I mean they were good but surely it would make more sense to put Leah or Matt last?
They seem to be deliberately steering away from looking like they're trying to influence the voting, no judges choice each night and the running order has been more varied.
I voted 5 for Leah on my phone and 5 for Issy on my iPad!
Gave all 5 of my votes to Grace & Ali the dancing couple, I found their performance stunning even despite that awful Sam Smith song seems much more competitive tonight, could feasibly see any of 5 (Grace & Ali, Opera girl, guy who sang 'Supermarket Flowers' and the two magicians) battling for the top 2. If I had to predict then I'd guess opera girl has won the semi and Grace & Ali second.
Yeah I'm thinking Leah first and Grace and Ali second, both very deserving! I worry that the kid who's nan died will get one of the slots, Issy or Matt feasibly could but I feel like Issy is a strong contender for judges' wildcard anyway. I think they should have to put Leah, Issy or Grace and Ali in the semi last night and they probably would have won.

Issy first, Grace & Ali second. I hope.
Lee Evans 2.0 was so annoying he had much longer than the other acts.
I reckon Issy will go straight through aswell, with Grace & Ali in second though I think it'll be close between them & the opera girl.
Camila was fab
Also, I think we can safely say Camila is no interesting break out from Fifth Harmony, not sure why anyone thought she'd make an interesting solo artist because that proved she's got very little when she's not sqwarking over the other girls.
I adore the song but yeah that was a bit shit She was good at the BBMAs so idk why she did it so flatly this time.
Leah missing top 3 over f***ing Matt?!?!?!
Awwwww poor Leah
WHAT THE ACTUAL f***
I'm sorry that has to be the worst finalist BGT has ever said :/
Very happy with that top 2! Although at 3 of the 4 acts in the final being magicians
Magician overload!
I can see Josephine making it tomorrow as well, she's brilliant. It's an insult to place Matt in the same category as her, Issy and DNA though.
Issy <3 my absolute favourite. So cute!
I really don't like Issy at all! I feel bad for saying that as she's only a kid, but I really don't "believe" her magic much and it feels far too contrived to me.
I don't believe it either Jonjo. Plus I believe the stories about her magic all being expensive gadgets, I've heard so many times that the 'magic' in those types of tricks is basically done by someone backstage writing on the special equipment, a bit like a modern etch a sketch if you will!
Tbf when Alesha had to pull a number out, I bet they were all the same number
Ali looked familiar to me as he took part in a crew in CBBC's Alesha's Street Dance All Stars in 2015 from watching it with young cousins.
His tweets were interesting to read...
The final has been moved to Saturday (from Sunday) to avoid a clash with the Manchester Benefit concert.
http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2017-05-31/britains-got-talent-moves-final-to-avoid-clash-with-ariana-grandes-manchester-benefit-concert
Oh wow that's great!
I guess Little Mix's performance will be scrapped now, unless they pre-record it/move it to their only other free date of tomorrow?
Looking at the YouTube clips of the performances last night, why does everyone get between 2/2.5 mins and that Matt guy get nearly 6 minutes of air time for his performance??
Seems very unfair that Matt got 6 minutes of air time when the others had 2 minutes.
Josephine was INCREDIBLE. I know there are already quite a lot of magicians in the final but I really hope she can make it through! Loved the feminist theme
Josephine was INCREDIBLE. I know there are already quite a lot of magicians in the final but I really hope she can make it through! Loved the feminist theme
That was very good but I can't see her going through with Tokio & Sarah in this semi
Josephine wasn't particularly impressive I thought. The presentation was good and unique but the actual tricks are very "seen it all before", certainly not as good as Issy or especially DNA.
London School of Bollywood are one of my favourites this series I have to say
I thought Josephine's tricks were quite obvious as to how they were done, she presented it well enough though - I thought Simon was very harsh on her and he came across as though he just didn't want another magician... which is fair enough as neither do I.
@ Ned! Loved that DNA reference at the end and I like the fact he addressed the stuff about his parents as well.
To be fair that Jay Wynn was actually a decent singer, the robot was just a bit unnecessary to be fair
Sarah was terrific and one of the best so far easily! That was vocally incredible and she completely slayed that
That transformer thing though was diabolical 😂😂😂
Jesus christ I think that performance of Purple Rain has to be one of the best I've ever seen on a show like this!!
I liked the tap dancer as well! I think tonight might be my favourite semi so far! (barring Jay obviously)
Nobody bother searching for that Indan BOP for BJSC; I beat Britains Got Talent to it by a year x . It flopped of course due to Beaverdoniaism. If a popular country sent it it would have won tbh.
Funny how y'all love the song on BGT and not when I aent it tho, oops x
I really like Tokio, which means he'll probably finish third!

Gave all 5 of my votes to Tokio tonight *.* His audition was quite possibly my favourite this year, so I was really hoping he would deliver again. Not quite as good as the audition but another gripping and impressive performance that stood out from the crowd.
I imagine Tokio, Ned and Sarah will be the top 3 tonight. Hard to predict the exact top 2 but I'll take a stab at Tokio and Ned, hopefully the former isn't just wishful thinking.
Am I the only one who didn't like Ned?
He had much longer than the other acts did.
Gave 5 votes to Sarah and 5 votes to Josephine, really hope the latter can go through! <3
Ik Sarah is probably certain to go through but out of the actual contenders I'd love it to be Ned and Josephine!
Ned wasn't funny at all, he's pushed on by the fact he's young. The same jokes would be lame from someone like 10-20 years older. I just found him annoying.
Ned is by far the best tonight I really think he could win it tbh
Expected with the three
Shame about London School of Bollywood and Josephine.
I've found every single person that has come 2nd so far to be overrated af 😂
Come on Sarah!
at Ned getting through! Sarah must be first now though
Oh for f***s sake. Sorry he's young but it weren't for me. Ned.
WHAT. How did Sarah not go through after that performance?
Definitely think she could get the wildcard spot hopefully
Sarah's out! I'd be shocked if she wasn't the wildcard though
Major shock. What the f*** is wrong with the public. Tokio fully deserved.
Bye Sarah and your screechy OTT vocals
I'll be amazed if Sarah didn't get the wildcard.
SO pleased that Tokio's performance connected with the public enough to top the vote!
Tokio!!!! I really assumed he was going home then, gobsmacked that he won the semi.
Definitely the right two through tonight! Tokio adds the variety and Ned was hilarious, Sarah gave a good vocal (and was SO much better than her shrieky audition) but what does she offer that Jennifer Hudson doesn't?
Not surprised Tokio won. I'm shocked not-that-funny Ned came 2nd.
Sarah was ROBBED, but she's clearly the wildcard considering the judges faces when they heard she was 3rd.
Sarah will be the wildcard but that has to be one of the most ridiculous results I have ever seen That performance from Sarah was absolutely incredible, and Ned was just embarrassingly unfunny. I'm so fed up of kids getting a pass because they're young and cute and genuine talent missing out. Just not my sort of comedy at all. It's a shame that tongiht and last night were so competitive though, I feel like on Monday Sarah or Grace & Ali could have won the semi, but I suppose you can say that any year There's always a weak semi and a couple of really strong oens.
I think there's more to Ned's credit than is being made out really, I certainly found him very funny and I think he is talented for sure!
I agree, I thought he was better than his audition. He didn't put a foot wrong and was very confident in his delivery.
For a nine-year-old, his delivery was remarkably good. Some of his punch lines could have been spotted from space but the same can be said for some adult comedians.
He doesn't write his own stuff
Neither did Sarah...
Both did well. I liked Sarah but I am finding it refreshing that the singers aren't getting through and clogging up the final like they usually do.
wtf at Sarah not getting through
WOW @ Simon's facial expressions after it was revealed Ned and Tokio were through. He really couldn't hide how pissed off he was
Sarah's going to be the wildcard, obviously, which is a shame because I wanted the dancers (the boyfriend/girlfriend couple) to be
Whether he writes his own jokes or not, Ned has a stage prescence and confidence most of us could only have dreamed of at his age. He didn't stutter or forget any of his jokes, and even remembered to take his jacket off at the right time. It's clearly something he wants to do and enjoys doing.
So confidence is once again mistaken for talent, saddling us with the Robbie Williams and Westlifes of the world. Great.
He is atrocious, sorry. I have no clue how anyone is entertained by childish jokes he didn't even write.
Tokio was incredible - by far the best in the show this year. Also liked Ned, but imo Sarah absolutely KILLED that performance in a bad way
Anyone else think tonight's semi is really lacking in talent compared to the others?
Yes, boring!
I have to say I am sick of people booing madly whenever Simon says ANYTHING remotely negative
Definitely agree Pete! It's a shame acts like say Josephine and the Irish dander don't even get top 3 when whoever wins this semi probably would struggle for top 3 in other semis. Of course it depends who does really well on the night but I don't see much potential for it in the line up.
I bet we'll end up with the token really weird finalist like Jean Martyn tonight I imagine
I can't see tonight going anywhere other that The Pensionalities, MerseyGirls & Jonny Awsum really, although none of them scream 'finalist' to me
Yeah I think MerseyGirls and Pensionalities, but they'll be in the bottom 3 or 4 of the final I imagine
That boy was awful, the song was like an Ed Sheeran diary reject from when he was 11, and sounded about as good
I didn't get Jonny's performance WHATSOEVER, I think that's just sealed his fate in a bad way
That was the best so far for me but it's really not saying much
I am halfway through this semi and Hoop Guy is legitimately my favourite so far
Those girls were by far the best but I wouldn't put them in my top 3 of other semis
I can't see it going anywhere other than MerseyGirls & Pensionalities now
Reuben and the girls were the best for me and that's saying something as I did not like MerseyGirls first time round
Yeah deffo the girls and the old guys, I think Jonny will probably be 3rd or maybe Reuben.
My full rank so far:

This semi final was very poor Sarah would have easily topped the vote had she been in this semi final .
That semi final was by far the weakest we've had so far! There's no one I am particularly rooting for today like I have the past few days I assume the dancers and old men will be through, both of them were only 'decent' for me (the latter mainly for the sweet factor), oops
Hoop Guy >
HORRENDOUS show, worse than the first semi which I didn't think was possible.
The only act I liked/loved was Mersey Girls, they were fab and I gave them all ten of my votes!
(My top 3 would probs be the hot singer and the balloon guy which says it all, I loved the musical guy the first time round but this rap thing was dreadful)
I thought magician bloke has left his job (as a cook) with the Army. Is he allowed to wear the uniform?
Reuben in the Top 3! Jonny really screwed up that performance then
Yasss Mersey Girls
Hoping Reuben goes through but I doubt it!
MerseyGirls & The Pensionalities through. What a surprise
I'm okay with those two going through, they do each add something different to the final list.
I'm not at all sure who is left for tomorrow aside from Amanda's comedian.
Ah, thank you Jade.
I liked Daliso and I also thought Jess was okay too. I quite liked Lords of Strut too but I can't remember really caring for any of the others.
Jess my fave from auditions but she'll get lost in that semi, it'll be Missing People's Choir 100% winning the semi and then probably Daliso, who I loved too. Typical, tonight's semi where I barely liked anything and then the two surroudning it I feel spoilt for choice as I'd easily put Jess and Daliso through but one (or both even) will lose out because of the choir.
I just hope the Missing People's Choir don't win but I can't see past it. I get the sentiment and I don't want to sound heartless but there isn't that much talent in it compared to other acts (most choirs sound the same and can be decent with a bit of practice) and I'm just not a fan of choirs. I know it's good visibility for the missing people and if one can get found they're doing a good thing, but acts shouldn't be buoyed almost solely by emotional value.
How can they fit all semi finalists in when they've cut the show short by a day?
It's kind of symbolic of the British mentality that in a choice between a young creative teenager with his whole future and life ahead of him & a couple of pensioners who don't have much future ahead of them that it's the pensioners who got the reward.
Shame Reuben didn't get through, he was one of my favourites last night along with the Pensionalities.
Do we know who's performing on the final yet to replace little mix?
I have to say I can't see this going anywhere other that Missing People and Daliso really.
Engelbert maybe?
It'll probably be someone really lame now on such short notice, or like a former winner who just happens to be in London or close enough to perform
Jai McDowell plz xxxxxxxx
They're probably busy but Simon should so fly Fifth Harmony in to perform Down.
The Mersey Girls from last night are my favourite act now. I don't even know what it is, but both performances have basically almost reduced me to tears. They are such beautiful girls and what they do is always so stunning and tells powerful stories. Them to win I think (especially with Grace and Ali out!).
Also liking Ned, Issy and Tokio. Matt is the worst by far, not funny or entertaining AT ALL i really don't get it.
(these finalists are missing a dog act )
Jess was hilarious! Much better than the audition.
Shame she won't be through as this is such a strong semi
Loved Jess, found that even better than her audition! The impressions of Adele, Alesha and Kate Bush in particular were brilliant.
I don't know. I just wasn't that keen on her and found myself agreeing with Simon
Such a shame she won't even be looked in as a wildcard despite the fact her singing voice is more pleasurable than Sarah's AND she's hilarious.
I really can't with Sarah i'm sorry. So overdone.
Jess was FANTASTIC, I was laughing from start to finish. Simon's comments were ridiculous, the fact he didn't find a single thing to praise in that is a joke. Adele's singing impersonation wasn't amazing BUT the point was to highlight the contrast between her singing and talking, which it did perfectly and in a very comedic way.
That just reminded me of something we would've sang for our year 6 leavers assembly at school :') down with kid choirs x
Kids no.
Their faces were so annoying (is that a mean thing to say?). My class >>>>
Ahhh Daliso was brilliant again, his material is just so HIM and refreshingly funny on this show!
Daliso was just sensational, I've not laughed that hard in SO long. My favourite act this year!
If someone from TNG Characters jumped out on me like that. I wouldn't be happy. Clowns are shit.
PIECE BY PIECE!! ❤️❤️❤️
This semi has been incredible
TNG Characters were great definitely the the best dance related act this year imo .
Given 3 votes to Daliso and 2 to Jess!
I imagine it will be Missing Choir winning, Daliso 2nd and that guy who sang 'Piece By Piece' 3rd.
"I'm black, 200 years ago this would have been an auction" LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I AM DONE
Daliso and Jess have both been by far my faves this week, along with DNA. It's a shame Jess will come like 6th in this heat I hope Daliso wins this heat, but ofc it will be the choir.
My poor ears.
This is horrific.
That was genuinely worse than all the performers tonight 😂😂
Sorry not sorry I was bopping to that 5 after Midnight song that was a pretty good performance as well there good performers
That is one of the worst songs I've heard in my life.
I was jamming to it
Daliso winning the semi, g'won *.*
Grace & Ali to somehow be the wildcard please
I enjoyed 5AM too
So delighted Daliso won the semi over the choir!! Backing him for the win *.*
I thought the 5AM track was called 'Ugly Hair'.
(oh and yayayayay Daliso etc)
Fab result there (well, the 1st place anyway lmao), really good to see Daliso triumph over yet another choir. A comedian has never won BGT so it'd be nice to something totally different again after we had the first magician win last year. Comedy tends to be something we don't see a lot of done well in BGT as well!
Who do we think will win then? I think it's between Daliso, the missing persons choir, the Pensionalities, and I really believe Tokio is a dark horse.
I have a feeling the missing people choir have peaked too soon and I can see them ending up 4th or so, behind Daliso, Tokio and the Pensionalities. Think Daliso stands a really good chance of winning if he continues the high quality of tonight! I wouldn't rule out DNA either actually. Pretty wide open this year.
I can see Daliso winning, him or Tokio perhaps, but it could be DNA. I think it's genuinely going to depend on the night!
Omg Daliso, DNA and Tokio are legitimately my favourite acts in the final so that would be an insanely good top 3 *.*
Thinking it is definitely Daliso or Tokio's to take at the minute, I agree that the Missing Choir have peaked too early.
Anybody watching?
Just checked William Hill - Tokio and Daliso are joint fave I kinda wanna put something on DNA..
Not DNA's strongest performance tonight a shame especially that they messed up the page number!
Good job I didn't put anything on DNA. That was NOT good
Put £35 on Daliso (returns would be £100.62) and £25 on Tokio (returns would be £81.25)
Matt makes me cringe so hard
Lol at Rise Up being performed
Daliso's done it again, incredible
It's gotta be Daliso or Tokio I think - possibly Missing People Choir also in the Top 3
Daliso, Issy and Tokio are a fantastic trio to end the show with! Daliso once again delivered which is impressive considering he only got through yesterday! Issy's performance was also a joy to watch, not as much magic as before but it felt like an appropriate way to see out her time in BGT.
C'MON TOKIO I'M ROOTING FOR YOU
That was strangely so emotional, I don't think there was much magic talent there but she certainly told us about how magical life can be. I wasn't expecting this to be the goosebumps moment but it was, Issy to win and I never imagined I'd be saying that! Childhood hope and innocence can't be displayed any more perfectly than Issy did there, utter genius.
Tokio was absolutely incredible. It's gonna be him vs. Issy isn't it?
Daliso was good but the weakest he's been for me. His odds now seem to agree with me
BREATHTAKINGLY good. I haven't rooted for someone to win BGT this much in years, c'mon Tokio you can do it!
Just voted for Tokio and Daliso.
All 5 votes to Issy and I'd never have imagined I'd be doing that at the start of the show!
+ 4 app votes to Tokio and 1 to Daliso.
10 app votes for Tokio from D*.
Diversity
Emeli Sande getting that promo
Issy please!
I gave 3 to Issy, 1 to Daliso and 1 to Ned x
How in the ACTUAL f*** did Matt come 4th?
So close Issy <3
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! Absolutely deserved. Issy was really good but Tokio was on another level tonight.
Absolutely delighted that Tokio won quite possibly the best top 3 ever on BGT.
(this thread is almost double the size of last year's one *.*)
So happy Issy came 2nd but when it was between the top 2 I had a feeling she'd take it.
Happy for Tokio though. The real shock to me is that DNA were 11th!
That really was the perfect top 3, I'd have been happy with any winning (even if Daliso was my top choice). Tokio is unique and exceptionally talented so a massive well done to him!
Surprised DNA did so badly but they were much weaker than usual tonight so not too surprising. Ned deserved more but not shocked he was pretty low down.
Ned is just SO annoying and crosses the line far too much.
Grand Final
Tokio Myers - 24.2%
Issy Simpson - 17.5%
Daliso Chaponda - 14.7%
Matt Edwards - 7.9%
The Pensionalities - 6.9%
Kyle Tomlinson - 6.7%
Sarah Ikumu - 5.6%
Missing People Choir - 5.2%
MerseyGirls - 5.1%
Ned Woodman - 3.2%
DNA - 3.0%
Tokio won quite convincingly then, excellent...
DNA's mess up really cost them then!
I just thought it was a poor performance overall and not just because of the mess up. By FAR the biggest disappointment </3 They absolutely smashed their two other performances!
Agreed, it was much too clunky with or without the mess up!
Having watched the top 3 performances, I'd still have chosen Issy but I won't deny Tokio's performance, it's just not at all my thing :/. Daliso was by far his weakest so far which was a shame, there was no way he was gonna win with that one Absolutely loved Issy's performance though bless her, much better than the first two I thought, it was so simple but still blew my mind and it just shone with childhood wonder and innocence as Ryan said, that's the perfect way to describe it. Tokio was very good but his facial expressions are so offputting lmao, Salvador Sobral teas (except good not f***ing awful xx).
Gutted to hear DNA flopped, they were my faves along with Daliso going into tonight. I'll have to catch up on all the perfs tomorrow!
Disappointed that Issy didn't win. Glad it wasn't the Missing Choir anyway.
The Missing Persons Choir seems to have achieved a result...

^ Incredible news!
Must say, despite the stick I gave the series earlier it was a brilliant final & SO refreshing to not be dominated by singing & dancing acts (plus the fact they got most of them out of the way early on). Seems to me this is the year the public have got bored of singers with the supposed "best singer ever" not even making the Final on votes & finishing 7th.
Absolutely the right act won, he was outstanding - and got the pimp slot with such a short voting window which obviously helped, in the fact the last 3 finished as the top 3 unsurprisingly.
I'd rank the final as:
1. Tokio Myers
2. Daliso Chaponda
3. DNA
4. Missing People Choir
5. Ned Woodman
6. MerseyGirls
7. Jess Issy Simpson
8. Matt Edwards
9. Kyle Tomlinson
10. Sarah Ikumu
11. The Pensionalities
And Tokio would be 4th in my winners ranking after Attraction, Diversity & Spelbound.
