I've mentioned this a few times before but I've always been so disappointed with the lack of live band on tour - I hope when they do return one day they have one, it would really enhance their music, performance, the atmosphere etc
Sugababes had one at Mighty Hoopla this weekend and they're putting on shows at a fraction of the cost that Little Mix were.

No shade to the Sugababes as I love them but they don't put on a show anywhere near the level of a show Little Mix put on...Little Mix are PERFORMERS.

So are Subagages and they are excellent.

Little Mix are also excellent but are lacking on the 'actually live' element of their tours. A live band and them singing those damn chorus would improve the experience a million times over!

Sugababes are excellent singers but not performers. There's never energy and Keisha is the only one that ever engages the crowd.

Sugababes are a vocal harmony group. Little Mix are the whole works.

Exactly this.
They are both awesome groups but very different.

Oh I absolutely agree they are different groups, I guess for me, a live band really enhances my experience and it makes even the most structured and choreographed shows a little less rigid. But maybe it’s just not the expectation of the genre/fan base

Having said that Girls Aloud had live bands and they also put on a spectacle, but that’s over a decade ago now and maybe it’s just not financially viable to do both until you get to a more global level.

Sorry but groups of all sizes have consistently done touring *with* live bands. It is a much richer experience overall.

We have to be honest here, that Little Mix havent used a band for ages because it saves costs, thats all. Sucks though, as it sounds cheap.

Spice Girls done it too. It's definitely a money thing. But the girls have never had much budget for anything.

Honestly considering they're probably one of the biggest artists in the UK and must bring in an insane amount of money for their label, their tour productions were really underwhelming. They never had a catwalk either even though their sort of music and energy is screaming out for one. The Glory Days tour in particular looked REALLY cheap and that was after their biggest ever album and singles.

Tbf back in the day you could do more because you made more. Streaming doesn't generate anywhere near the money sales did and sales as a whole are much lower to touring is where you make the money.
