In two weeks from now, the first semi of Eurovision 2019 will be coming to an end and the first rehearsals will take place in Tel Aviv this coming Saturday! (and yes, Buzzvision is coming soon don't worry)

So with that in mind, what do you predict will be the following:

Surprise Top 5:...there's so many songs in the mix that honestly I don't think there'd be any kind of "surprise" but I guess... Australia

Surprise Qualifier: Austria

Surprise Non-Qualifier: Armenia

Fan favourite flop: Norway

Winner: Netherlands, but can see Switzerland taking it too.

Surprise Top 5: Albania

Surprise Qualifier: Austria

Surprise Non-Qualifier: Czech Republic

Fan favourite flop: Quite clearly Norway

Surprise qualifier: Croatia

Surprise non-qualifier: Russia

Fan-favourite flop: Norway

Anna Rosinelli award: Austria

I think Netherlands is very polished and I'm going to argue against it winning. Croatia will be written off and make everyone go out of their minds in the semi-result thread, Russia will fail to impact anyone.

Interesting that Armenia has already been mentioned for two totally different things. I lean to the side of Lex as I feel Srbuk is someone who should be a fan favourite but the fans don’t really seem to be responding, and I think they’re very vulnerable opening a semi with a song that isn’t impactful enough. But in reality I expect staging to elevate it a bit and fall between the two - qualify and end up with a low top 15/20 result.

Surprise Qualifier: Estonia (don’t even think this is a surprise, but the closest I consider to be). Otherwise, Austria.

Surprise top 5: Norway/Spain (I mean both could just as easily flop but I could also potentially see both capturing viewers’ interest with the right staging/running order)

Surprise qualifier: Lithuania

Surprise non-qualifier: Sweden (probably not, but I’m going leftfield with some of these. Imagine the outrage, international juries would be no more in Melfest)

Fan-favourite flop: Cyprus (well not flop, but maybe like 15th)

Only me, Jahq and Iz guessed WRONG the winner, but I was the only one to guess right the surprise top 5 Norway (Gooddelta guessed half right).

I should have put money on Norway going top five, I had a sneaking suspicion the televoters would love it

Not surprised at Cyprus doing worse than many anticipated either...
