Absolutely GLORIOUS. Their second best song for me after 'Slegdehammer'.

LOVE this. Not as good as "Worth It" (yet) but better than "Sledgehammer" and definitely better than "BO$$" which remains awful.

I wasn't sure to expect, but I quite like it! Production is totally on point and definitely the better "work" song than the other one floating around at the minute.
I think the video is excellent as well. |

Once again they've managed to take an urban sound and make it accessible to me, it's a fantastic progression and sounds like a big hit. I'm surprised this is only planned as a US single at the moment, maybe they will change their minds if it takes off on iTunes!
This is what Rihanna's 'Work' should've been, this is so much better! Apparently this was also originally called 'Work' but then Rihanna brought out her song so they had to change it. But yes fantastic work and the video is amazing! And I love Camila's ad-libs in the final chorus |

apparently the song was originally meant to be called 'work' before rihanna released
i love how the song is another 'work work work' chorus so gonna get compared to rihanna and the video reminds me so much of ciara's video for 'work'; its as if they are trying to create a lil 'work' supergroup by intertextually referencing all the other girls 'work' efforts. now just let iggy, kelly rowland and britney join and it would kill. |

I hope Lauren sings for more than 10 seconds in this one as well. AND LO AND BEHOLD SHE'S FRONT AND CENTER IN THE CHORUS I was not let down! This is everything I love in a song and more, kinda like a girl band version of "All Hands On Deck". WERQ. i love how the song is another 'work work work' chorus so gonna get compared to rihanna and the video reminds me so much of ciara's video for 'work'; its as if they are trying to create a lil 'work' supergroup by intertextually referencing all the other girls 'work' efforts. now just let iggy, kelly rowland and britney join and it would kill. Or we could have Fifth Harmony & The Saturdays - "Work"

Oh good f'ing christ
See this is why I warned you people about lapping up that mediocre Rihanna single, I knew it'd be a negative influence. And now thanks to you the general mentality has now become 'why bother trying to write good pop hooks when we can just repeat one word over and over and over and the public will automatically be weak at the knees ' This is all your fault people!! (but in full seriousness it'd be a decent track if you exclude that poor chorus) |

This is incredibly dull, and the video is pretty embarrassing so its a no from me.

they obviously recorded this before rihanna released 'work'. that has only been out for four weeks so i'm guessing they had the lead single ready for a while before that.
therefore any "influence" comments are null and void. |

Yeah, it's hardly like Work by Itchy Areola or Work (Bitch) by Britney has a chorus based on constant repetition of the same phrase in lieu of an actual hook, talk about nitpicking an argument. The trend in itself is lazy, urban pop doesn't have to be like the songwriters have borrowed the typewriter from the f***ing Shining.
