Some upcoming merchandise for Spiceworld 25 has been unveiled, via vendor sites. Not yet available for the public to buy.
From a Spice Circle post: "A peek at Bravado's first releases for the 25th anniversary merch. No, this is not all of it. No, this merch is not available on the website (yet) – but it IS available for vendors/retailers to order by the carton/case to begin selling. Expect to see these items (and more) hitting shelves soon. That god-awful font makes everything look unofficial, but I do love the mug with the girls in the letters! This is a great sign that the original testing with the t-shirts/socks/etc worked – and the girls saw enough response to allow licensing for other items. Well I think the most interesting thing about this reveal is this image:
 Is this a teaser for the branding they'll be using for the Spiceworld 25 album? If so, they've certainly deviated from the original album artwork more than they did with Spice 25. An obvious change is the font. They've decided to use different pictures of Emma and Geri. They've also rearranged the order of the girls, bar Mel B staying in the 'S'. As well as this they've changed the colours of the letters, reflecting the 'Spice' era colours rather than 'Spiceworld'. At the moment I'm not quite sure what to think, I'll look at it some more. What I will say is that the design is giving me 'Pop Art'. |

I think the Pop Art take on it is quite cute, even if I much prefer the more classy Spiceworld design overall. The merch in question is... well... maybe not for me. The mug with the new pop-art logo is cute, but the rest is questionable lol and that bloody Spice25 logo will haunt me forever LOL |

I'd be kind of surprised if the designers went to the effort of making a new "girls in the letters" image just for a mug, so I feel like it could be used for Spiceworld 25?
 At least on a CD and cassette version.Maybe there'll be a version of this logo but without the girls in the letters, alongside a '25', used for the "individual member" vinyls? |

That logo is not good. Sad times. Not even comparable to the original Spice World one. My nan could do better on MS Word.
That Emma crop is tragic. Looks like the market rip-off merch from 1996. I would've preferred to see an updated, brighter colour way for the lettering of the original. That light touch is all it needed. |

I blame the fans on Spice Circle who shat their pants at what was actually the best design so far of the 25anniversaries era: the original Wannabe25 design.
It was classy, cool and totally 90s but in a modern way. The fans screamed that it wasnt 'poppy and colourfull enough' and they changed the whole direction to the disaster that has been since....

I still stand by that original Wannabe 25 design being bland / not an appealing enough picture for a 12” picture disc.

Looks good to me, I like the 'pop art' effect on the letters.
I'm not one of those who gives a toss about fonts and it exactly matching what was released 25 years ago. In fact I'm the other way, the more different the better. I've had 25 years of seeing the Spiceworld album cover, I've got it on cd and vinyl. I want something different. |

The designs are secondary to me. The SW25 cover could include the photo of Melanie C from the front cover for her memoir for all I care because I'd be willing to completely overlook that for quality unreleased tracks from when the SGs were at their prime in late 90s. I want to celebrate that music -- from when they were in recording studios together and (more or less) equally cared about being SGs.

I think the easiest explanation for "pop art" is taking something that already exists/familiar imaginery and putting it in a new context - ie cut outs, ads, the infamous Campbell Soup or Marilyn Monroe painting, doing cartoon style paintings and so on. |

The content they are going to release matters. Hopefully there is at least one good outtake in the archives from the Spiceworld sessions. |

I love that pop art style logo it would have been fab for a third 5 piece album in1998. I am getting Girls Aloud vibes from it too, very WWTNS.
