Melanie performed with Bruce Willis during the opening of Planet Hollywood in Montreal, Canada.

30/11/1998 - When You're Gone
Mel first solo single in collaboration with Bryan Adams. It charted at #3 inside UK singles chart and it was certified platinum.

23/02/1999 - Kappa
Melanie launched with Gianluca Vialli a new European advertising campaign for Italian sportswear.

22/06/1999 - Big Daddy (Soundtrack)
Melanie was part of the soundtrack for the movie with the same name, with the song "Ga Ga".

29/09/1999 - Goin' Down
Melanie first single taken from Northern Star album. It peaked at #4 inside UK singles chart.

18/10/1999 - Northern Star
Mel first solo album. It peaked at #4 inside UK albums chart and it has been certified three times platinum.
It has been also certified platinum in Germany and Sweden and gold in Australia, Netherlands and Switzerland.
It sold approximately two million and half copies worldwide.

09/11/1999 - Pokémon: The First Movie (Soundtrack)
Melanie co-wrote the song "(Hey You) Free Up Your Mind" sung by Emma. Mel also recorded the backing vocals.

Melanie third single taken from Northern Star album in collaboration with Lisa Left Eye Lopes. It was the first #1 in UK and it has been certified gold.
It went at #1 also in Netherlands, New Zealand and Sweden and it has been certified platinum in Australia, New Zealand and Sweden and gold in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.

07/08/2000 - I Turn To You
Mel fourth single taken from Northern Star album. It was the second #1 in UK and it charted at #1 also in Austria, Netherland and Sweden.
It has been certified platinum in Australia and Sweden and gold in Austria, Belgum, Germany, Netherlands and UK.

21/08/2000 - Northern Star (Re-issue)
A second realase of Mel first album with the addiction of the single version of Never Be The Same Again and I Turn To You.

27/11/2000 - If That Were Me
Fifth and last single taken from Northern Star album. It charted at #18 in UK. The proceeds from its sale went to the Kandu Arts charity.

12/04/2002 - Bend It Like Beckham (Soundtrack)
Melanie featured in the soundtrack of the movie with the song "Independence Day".

24/02/2003 - Here It Comes Again
Melanie first single taken from her second solo album Reason. It charted at #7 in UK.

Promotional single taken from Reason released exclusively in Japan. It was licensed to a Toyota TV commercial.

07/09/2003 - The Games
British reality sports game show aired on Channel 4 in which 10 celebrities competed against each other, by doing Olympic-style events.
Mel was a contestant for the first series and left for a serious knee injury during a judo match.

23/09/2003 - Yeh Yeh Yeh
Third single taken from Reason. It was released in Germany and other countries.

10/11/2003 - Melt/Yeh Yeh Yeh
Double A-side single released in UK. It charted at #27.
The original plan was to release only "Yeh Yeh Yeh" as the third single on 22 September 2003, but shortly before this could happen, Mel injured her knee in the TV show The Games during a judo match.
"Melt" was an easier song to promote with an injury, was added to the mix, resulting in the double single.

04/04/2005 - Next Best Superstar
First single taken from Beautiful Intentions album. It charted in UK at #10.

11/04/2005 - Beautiful Intentions
Mel first independent album and the third overall. It peaked in UK at #24.

21/04/2005 - Sulla Mia Strada
Melanie co-wrote the song "La Via", the original english version for italian singer Massimo Di Cataldo.

01/08/2005 - Better Alone
Second UK single taken from Beautiful Intentions album. The various physical formats were available to purchase from the online shop on Melanie C's website.
The single was not eligible to chart for UK charts rules. It was also the second single for Italy and Australia.

30/09/2005 - First Day Of My Life
Second single taken from Beautiful Intentions album for Germany and other countries. It charted at #1 in Germany, Switzerland and Spain.
It has been certified platinum in Germany and gold in Switzerland. The song was also the third single for Italia and Australia.

30/09/2005 - Beautiful Intentions (re-issue)
Mel abum was re-issued with a new cover and the with the addiction of "First Day Of My Life" and other contents.
It charted at #1 in Portugal and it was certified platinum. It was also certified gold in Germany and Switzerland.

24/02/2006 - Better Alone (re-issue)
The song was re-realased with a new cover and a new video and it was the third single for Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

30/03/2006 - Follow Me
First single released by Dutch singer Do. It was recorded and co-written by Melanie as a b-side for Northern Star single.

28/04/2006 - Eska Music Awards
Melanie won an award for Best International Female Artist category. Also she performed First Day Of My Life.

Charity single associated with the Hillsborough disaster, charted in UK at #1. Melanie, among other singers, were part of the group The Justice Collective.
Originally recorded by Kelly Gordon in 1969, the song became a worldwide hit for the Hollies later that year and also a hit for Neil Diamond in 1970.

Thank you for doing these, it is incredible work you are doing.

It does highlight how absolutely terrible a lot of their solo careers have been, with the amount of meandering stuff they get involved in. And yes, Mel C has more music and touring to back up her solo endeavours but when most of it is below acceptable quality, it doesnt make for this to be a more exciting list or career lol
