 Hello and welcome to the official Miley Cyrus thread for the current edition of the Artist Forum Idol spin-off competition. If we want Miley to 'climb' the leaderboard as high as possible then I'm going to need your help with what to choose for each round. Here's a little reminder of the themes we have to look forward to: Themes 1. Free choice 2. First OR last single from an era (you will have the choice of either the first or last single released from any album era by your artist) 3. Free album track choice 4. Free choice 5. Uptempo album track 6. Free choice 7. Should've been a single 8. Song to win (biggest hit / most loved song - end on a high!) Results Round 1. 'Slide Away' - 3rd (32/49) Round 2. 'Malibu' - 2nd (30/47) Round 3. 'Angels Like You' - 1st (31/40) Round 4. 'Nothing Breaks Like a Heart' - 3rd (30/41) Round 5. 'Thinkin' - 14th (10/39) Round 6. 'Wrecking Ball' - 2nd (32/42) Round 7. 'Gimme What I Want' - 8th (19/38) Round 8. 'Midnight Sky' - 2nd (28/42) As you can see, I'm very excited to be sending her in the competition and I think we have a great shot at challenging for the win. So excited in fact that it's even prompted me to change my signature for the first time since 2017! It'd be nice to showcase plenty of Miley's distinct eras despite the limited number of theme opportunities so I'm trying to keep that in mind when shortlisting my song choice ideas. I’d like to see some album tracks from different eras as I’m not familiar with them! We Can’t Stop and Nothing Breaks Like A Heart to feature as well as the most recent faves!

I had three thoughts for round 1... Let me know what yous think!
Either we start the competition with a bang and go with one of our big hitters (Midnight Sky or Wrecking Ball - and save the other for Round 8, perhaps) OR start off with an early-ish Miley song so we can use some of her first bops before we get to her later big hitters in the netxt rounds (I'm thinking See You Again?!) |

I didn't really think of any of the She Is Coming 'album' tracks but they'd be fun. Perhaps Cattitude deserves a time to shine. Here for all the Slide Away love... I thought it might be a bit too chill to make a big impact but defo a shout for a free choice round at some point! |

I think like Scene said Party In The USA would be an excellent choice. I'm unsure what you should do with Midnight Sky as it's so recent! Don't know where that would work best. Personally I'm not very fussed with Wrecking Ball but others like it!

I had Party in the USA, Midnight Sky & Malibu down as potentials for Round 2 too if that helps give an idea to anyone. I personally adore the Younger Now era so it'd be nice for it to have SOME representation.
