Not as strong as The Line but this sounds more commercial. |

An Ashanti sample and multiple references to Beyoncé really does feel like she's trying to chase the early 00s revival trend. It isn't as bad as it could've been but she completely drains the life out of the hook.
I did like "The Line" for a while so it's a shame that that never broke through. "You Don't Know Me" remains terrible. |

it’s a mash together to stuff we all really know and continue to hear on a regular basis when going out...why listen to this poor mans version when you have the superior milian song, destiny’s child etc
this is an utterly baffling way to launch a new artist to me; imitate a still v popular early 2000s track in a very non-description fashion and then expect people to be drawn to you?! baffling |
