Only a few times as I have specifically avoided doing this for years (made an exception for Roses because her previous entry was A) featured and B) a DNQ):

And I suppose you could count Hitstastic in BJSC57 but I only credited him on it to recognise the effort he put into cutting it down to not 7 minutes long, it wasn't actually a proper remix like his previous 'entries'

I did recycle SOHN and Kids Of The Apocalypse from Unknown Pleasures though. The former was probably my cheapest artist since Robyn as he actually won UP not that long before I sent him. And then later won BJSC when he got recycled again. 19th is just as good though

Jónsi (again), Beth Ditto, Joe Goddard, Mike Noyce and Dawn Richard were sort of recycled too in that they'd been entered as members of groups before (Sigur Rós, Gossip, The 2 Bears (entered by MYSELF just two months earlier ~), Bon Iver and Danity Kane respectively). And the other way round I sort of recycled Fake Blood as a member of Machines Don't Care, and I entered Janus Rasmussen as a member of Fura when he'd previously been entered with his other groups BYRTA and Bloodgroup.

Think that just about covers all my unoriginality. 15/53 entries partially recycled at a massive push, v inspired otherwise ~

I try to avoid it but I don't let it get in the way of sending an absolutely brilliant song. Especially if I'm plagiarizing myself, because it's expected I'd already be a fan of the artist. Done it much less lately as well.

Team Me I recycled from UP, but I think that's about it from there.

As for artists under different names, Saint Saviour was entered as featured on Groove Armada's Paper Romance (but uncredited in the Songs Of thread), Archis is basically Dia Frampton renamed and were it not for that rename would have probably been very very cheap of me, and Rachel Taylor was the lead singer of He Is We so also had an 8th place to her name previously. I think that's it, unless I'm missing something.

I don't think George Maple was credited on 'On & On' at the time, similar to how Melissa Steel wasn't credited on Blonde's 'I Loved You' at the time that was sent. That would explain the lack of mention in the 'Songs of' thread ~

I've recycled five times.

The first time was when I sent Regina Spektor's 'Samson' in BJSC 17. Tyronosaurusland (lol) had sent 'Fidelity' before in BJSC 2.

The second time was with Röyksopp's 'This Must Be It' in BJSC 18. Land of Jack had entered 'What Else Is There?' in BJSC 8, B.a.N.G had sent 'Happy Up Here' in BJSC 14 and Mdiče had sent the winning 'The Girl and the Robot' in BJSC 15. This is the only time I've recycled a winner and I didn't actually realise I have done so!

I sent Emilia - Teardrops as one of my return entries in BJSC 46. The artist had previously been sent by Simondly in BJSC 24 with the song 'Kiss by Kiss'.

I didn't realise this until now, but the artist Stars had been sent twice before I sent them. The first time was when the song 'Going, Going, Gone' was sent by Rivandia in BJSC 13, followed by them being sent again in BJSC 26 when Skall entered 'In Our Bedroom After the War'. I entered 'Counting Stars on the Ceiling' in BJSC 48.

And finally, my only winning entry up to this point was the recycled Allie X with the song 'Sanctuary' in BJSC 81. 'Tumor' was previously sent by Hendinia in BJSC 75. I am happy to have won, of course, but it would've been a sweeter win had I sent something more unknown within the contest, by an artist that hadn't been entered before. I'm hoping this will happen one day.

I'm actually surprised I've recycled this many times, I guess I didn't really realise it. I don't like recycling (I know it's acceptable but I just don't enjoy it in a way ) and will try to avoid it a bit more from now on. I've never recycled my own artist though!

I'm pretty sure I've only recycled with Phantogram so far, although I'm probably recycling next month as I want justice for the artist

Continued to be mega inspired since I last posted in here ~~ although I recycled another artist from Unknown Pleasures, this time shock horror it was my own UP artist (Yung Lean - sent 'Yoshi City' to UP then 'Kyoto' to BJSC, both bombing horrendously as expected but still such tunes).

i prefer not to recycle but I've inadvertently done it 3 times - one Mart!n kylienips (sandra) and 2 from Pavel fka many, I think.

And New Politics was from UP I think, though tbf I don't understand how it took this long for them to be entered in the contest especially when "Harlem" exists
