Welcome to Round 27 of Least Fave Disney Animated Classic and finishing in 7th place is "The Jungle Book" and therefore becoming the 48th feature to leave us with 8 votes. Another all time classic released in 1967 as the 19th Disney animated feature and also marks the last one that Walt Disney worked on himself before he died during production. The movie was a major success upon release grossing $73 Million on it's original release and during re-releases has made to date over $205 Million. As well as earning rave reviews for the movie and the soundtrack itself which features songs that everybody knows to this day. There was a live action remake released in 1994 which starred Jason Scott Lee as Mowgli and earned praise but was only a minor success grossing $43 Million on a $30 Million budget, and there is also another planned live action remake planned for this year.
As for the other movies for the 2nd time in these polls all of them gained votes with "101 Dalmatians" gaining 6 votes, "Beauty and the Beast" gets 4 votes, "Aladdin" gets 3 and "Snow White" gets 2, then finally "The Little Mermaid" and "The Lion King" both gets 1 vote each. 07th The Jungle Book = 8 Votes An amazing movie and definitely one of Disney's best and the fact that this was Walt's last one he worked on before he died, only makes this more special and magical. I've always had a soft spot for this and glad this has got so high here. This also offers a lot of what Disney does best, it blends the realistic with the cartoonish and the darkness of the jungle with a lighthearted tone, and linear storytelling with an aimless quality that allows for some charming diversions. Once again we get an array of loveable and memorable characters such as Baloo the loveable bear with a laid back manner, King Louie whose very entertaining, Kaa the snake whose just so wickedly funny and evil and Shere Khan whose presence is electrifying and menacing. The songs are also what makes this a classic and try as you will to get them out of your head. Then there's the ending which was just perfect for me and after watching on the DVD extra features, the extended planned ending, I'm just glad it wasn't used. So in all an amazing and wonderful classic and can be enjoyed over and over. So now just 6 left, same rules apply just vote for your least fave by the next round which will be on January 30th Results So Far 07th - The Jungle Book = 8 Votes/32.00% 08th - Alice In Wonderland = 9 Votes/34.62% 09th - Sleeping Beauty = 11 Votes/42.31% 10th - Pinocchio = 10 Votes/31.25% 11th - Lady and the Tramp = 5 Votes/17.86% 12th - Bambi = 6 Votes/21.43% 13th - Mulan = 13 Votes/40.62% 14th - The Hunchback Of Notre Dame = 13 Votes/41.94% 15th - Frozen = 9 Votes/33.33% 16th - Peter Pan = 7 Votes/29.17% 17th - Tangled = 7 Votes/25.93% 18th - Robin Hood = 11 Votes/36.67% 19th - Dumbo = 8 Votes/27.59% 20th - Cinderella = 5 Votes/22.73% 21st – Wreck It Ralph = 5 Votes/21.74% 22nd– Hercules = 9 Votes/39.13% 23rd - The Fox and the Hound = 5 Votes/22.73% 24th - Lilo & Stitch = 7 Votes/29.17% 25th - Pocahontas = 10 Votes/37.04% 26th - Tarzan = 8 Votes/28.57% 27th - Big Hero 6 = 4 Votes/15.38% 28th - The Princess and the Frog = 6 Votes/23.08% 29th - The Aristocats = 6 Votes/10.00% 30th - The Emperor's New Groove = 10 Votes/16.67% 31st - Bolt = 8 Votes/12.31% 32nd -The Sword In The Stone = 9 Votes/13.85% 33rd - Fantasia = 10 Votes/15.38% 34th - Winnie The Pooh (2011) = 6 Votes/11.76% 35th - Atlantis; The Lost Empire = 7 Votes/13.73% 36th - Brother Bear = 11 Votes/21.57% =37th Treasure Planet = 8 Votes/8.70% =37th Basil The Great Mouse Detective = 8 Votes/8.70% 39th - The Rescuers = 9 Votes/9.78% 40th - The Black Cauldron = 10 Votes/10.87% =41st The Rescuers Down Under = 8 Votes/7.21% =41st Oliver & Company = 8 Votes/7.21% 43rd - The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh = 9 Votes/8.11% 44th - Meet The Robinsons = 17 Votes/15.32% =45th Fantasia 2000 = 8 Votes/8.60% =45th Chicken Little = 8 Votes/8.60% 47th - Home On The Range = 9 Votes/9.68% 48th - The Adventures Of Ichabod Mr Toad = 10 Votes/10.75% 49th - The Three Cabarellos = 14 Votes/15.05% 50th - Dinosaur = 8 Votes/6.96% =51st Fun & Fancy Free = 10 Votes/8.70% =51st Make Mine Music = 10 Votes/8.70% =51st Saludos Amigos = 10 Votes/8.70% 54th - Melody Time = 11 Votes/9.57% |

Toss up between the earlier two, but I went for 101 Dalmatians, as Snow White is iconic in so many ways. It also has some lovely singing.

funny how the old classics are going down each time with 8 votes or thereabouts while the votes for the newer ones are split
