9th. Born This Way = 8 votes




Welcome to Round 16 and for the 3rd round in a row we lose yet another 'Born This Way' era single and this time its the lead that finally bows out after coming close quite a few times previously. This now means that there's just one left in the running (the best one luckily). Born This Way was Gaga's first post 'Fame Monster' single & landed right at the peak of her popularity, with lyrics that served as a social revolution in their own right, and quickly became a banner track for acceptance as the first song featuring the word “transgender” to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. That's not to say that this is only worthy as a vital piece of social commentary; its also a pretty great banger that has the robust bass and towering, an anthemic chorus to back things up. But production wise its very over-cooked, sonically kind of jarring and the similarities to Madonna's 'Express Yourself' is unavoidable especially in the song's message. But besides that this still deserves our respect and Gaga's vocals are more than earnest when delivering the song's message and whether you like it or not, this will always stand as one of her most important songs in her brilliant discography.



It was a somewhat slow in that last round with just 24 votes cast, 'Born This Way' was the clear choice to go with 8 votes, while 'Telephone' wasn't far behind with 6 votes & 'Shallow' got 5. 'Just Dance' gained less votes than last time with just 3 (compared to the 7 it previously got). Then finally both 'Bad Romance' & 'The Edge of Glory' both gained a single vote each yet again.



Right then guys same rules apply just vote for your least fave Lady Gaga single from the 8 remaining in the poll above and the one with the most will be out by the next round, which will be this Saturday, so get your votes in while you can.
