I saw a comment saying that this is a song aimed very squarely at her ageing homosexual fanbase and I'd agree having listened to it. NOT A BAD THING THO.

Out of the Spotify Top 200 after 1 day. This will miss the official Top 40 now.

I've been playing the song almost non-stop since the last three days in order to help her rig a few more streaming. When I get sick of the song, I'd just mute the sound.

Just read a review of 'Dancing' on the Telegraph website with this "interesting" paragraph:
"Minogue, who will turn 50 in May, hasn't had a single in the charts since 2012, when Timebomb reached number 12. Her twelfth album Kiss Me Once reached number two, but released tracks Into the Blue and I Was Gonna Cancel didn't make the Top 40." I just.... such lazy journalism! So many errors... ANYWAY I love the song! |

It's a nice pop song and I like it but that's all for me. I feel like it's missing the moment where it could explode a bit more and become euphoric/glorious especially for the final chorus.

Like sounding like Dolly is even offensive. It's a compliment.

nDancing was released purely to get interest in the album send preorders.
I am pretty sure we will see video, physicals, remixes all released on a a Friday soon to get maximum impact and the song will already be my own + a live performance to boost |

I am seriously impressed with this, it is INCREDIBLE. So nice to hear something a little bit different for her and quite heartfelt with a wonderful sentiment.
After nearly 4 years of her giving me endless reasons to feel embarrassed to be a fan, she has done me proud! This post has been edited by Tawdry Hepburn: 21st January 2018, 11:44 PM |

Why embarrassed? The 'I Was Gonna Cancel' video The Christmas album (even though I liked some of it) Collaborations with people like James Corden, Shaggy Her appearance on Desert Island Discs I can probably think of more, but they're just off the top of my head. Well, I sent a link to my sister and she replied "good song". Maybe she's trying to humour me but maybe not

'I Was Gonna Cancel' was an embarrassment entirely but I see it as just a blip. I guess I'm so used to Madonna's antics so nothing Kylie does really compares. |

How can it be generic when there's only ONE song it sounds like? And even that is a vague similariry. Because it has a similar style production as Kygo's recent songs and that together with the ubiquitous pitched vocal drop. I do like the verses in 'Dancing' but it just the chorus and drop that makes it sound generic to me. This post has been edited by The Snake : 22nd January 2018, 12:32 PM |
