BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ Singles number one race

so which of these would you prefer getting the arbitrary number one then? its between these two now that Mood has succumbed to ACR. and who do you predict?

I’d like it to be Headie One but thinking Internet Money as they’re way ahead on Spotify.

Expecting Lemonade to get there and hoping it does. Think it’s quite catchy

I’m hoping it’s Headie!

I voted Headie for what I think will get there too.

I’d rather Miley over any of those two but If one of those is gonna do it I’d rather it be Headie.

Possibly the worst “race” to number one I’ve ever witnessed

Much much prefer Internet Money (if we're assuming ONLY one of them ever gets to #1 not just whether it's this specific week) and I do think it is the more likely to achieve such this week.

I think Internet Money but would prefer Headie One. Neither would be a particularly vintage #1.

Ariana is releasing this Friday (and it's a lead single not just a throwaway release) so that would be a fair assumption to make.

Ah righto I didn't know that! Unfortunate for whoever finishes second this week then.

Internet Money
Both rubbish

Prefer Ain't It Different but predict Lemonade.

There's also a potentially interesting battle for the 'if ACR didn't exist' #1 this week between Head & Heart (presumably ahead at present) and Mood (doing better on streaming)

I really like Lemonade. It has a laid back and dreamy quality to it, and Don Toliver's vocals are great.

Internet Money and i dont really want either to be number 1's

Thank goodness we don’t live in that world then lol would seem weird for Joel to return to number one randomly!

Voted for Lemonade for number one but want Headie One as it’s my favoured song!

Mood's actually been ahead on the "old rules" chart all week! (well, from Monday on at least as that's what we have data for)

Headie should really plug the hell out of the single tonight and tomorrow, he’s so close and it will inevitably be the last chance this single has of making the top for him. For me it’s a 7/10 decent enough song, I wouldn’t be mad it at being No.1.

Lemonade is a 4/10, I don’t get the appeal whatsoever and hope Headie can overtake its streaming advantage.

It seems to be AJ who's doing the plugging (and it's done the trick well enough so far with the song shooting to #1 with a nearly 2 to 1 lead on iTunes now (and more relevantly a nearly 7 to 1 lead over Internet Money)). Here's hoping it can be enough.

An exciting late development. I’m not convinced it will be enough as the missing streaming data will favour Internet Money and even a 2 to 1 lead on iTunes is only about 1k per day at the moment, but we’ll see!

oh great they're doing some campaigning, would be silly not to when they're so close
