#18. I’ll Keep Loving You (featuring Jaymes Young & Birdy)

AVERAGE: 5.59/10
I'll keep loving you: gavindeejay, Nick F1 (8.0)
I don't love you: Henderella (2.0)

starting with one of the lowlights, which saw David Guetta trying to do the whole subtlety thing but it doesn't really work for him, he's better at the bangers.

Posted by: Danvicii 14th July 2015, 10:17 PM

#17. The Whisperer (featuring Sia)

AVERAGE: 7.00/10
The whisperer: Regina, Cody Slayberry (10.0)
The shouter: Dobbo (-1.0)

Was hoping this would be a bit higher, although it's not really what I want from Guetta and it doesn't sound like his song at all it is a lovely piano ballad. Sia's vocal is really good on it anyway.

Posted by: Danvicii 14th July 2015, 10:22 PM

#16. Dangerous (Robin Schulz Remix) (featuring Sam Martin)

AVERAGE: 7.07/10
Dangerous (Robin Schulz Remix): LeeWallace, James1987 (9.5)
The remix is too dangerous for my liking: Henderella (2.0)

Yes this remix did make it onto the deluxe edition of the album, even though David himself did a remix of this song he put this one on the album instead (lol). The original version is of course yet to come and is better imo but this is a nice remix.

Posted by: Danvicii 14th July 2015, 10:26 PM

#15. Goodbye Friend (featuring The Script)

AVERAGE: 7.07/10
Goodbye friend: Cody Slayberry (11.0)
You're not my friend: Henderella (3.0)

Not surprised to see this quite low down, it is a bit of a filler although still quite good. It did attract one 11 though which definitely helped its score (would have been 2nd to last otherwise.

Posted by: Danvicii 14th July 2015, 10:31 PM

#14. Shot Me Down (featuring Skylar Grey)

AVERAGE: 7.18/10
Shot me down: Dan, Dobbo, Ethan (10.0)
Shoot you down: mr_aly (-1.0)

The first of 6 singles to be knocked out then, and unfortunately it is this which was the first single from the album (although eventually only made it to the deluxe edition) and was met with a lot of hate for being unoriginal. Though I personally love it, and it is one of 2 tracks I gave 10/10 to (and I awarded no 11)

Posted by: Danvicii 14th July 2015, 10:38 PM

#13. Lovers On The Sun (featuring Sam Martin)

AVERAGE: 7.21/10
Lovers on the sun: Ethan (9.0)
Getting burned on the sun: Liam (2.0)

This song gave Avicii another UK #1 so I've got to love it for that, although it is a very safe track so unsurprisingly it didn't get the best rep. I quite like it but it's not one of his classic singles really, and it doesn't finish that high here either with a lot of album tracks beating it. Four singles left to go as well.

The top 12 will be revealed tomorrow. Here are the contenders now

xx 1. Dangerous (featuring Sam Martin)
xx 2. What I Did For Love (featuring Emeli Sande)
xx 3. No Money No Love (David Guetta & Showtek) (featuring Elliphant & Ms Dynamite)
xx 6. Lift Me Up (featuring Nico & Vinz)
xx 7. Listen (featuring John Legend)
xx 8. Bang My Head (featuring Sia)
xx 9. Yesterday (featuring Bebe Rexha)
xx 10. Hey Mama (featuring Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack)
xx 11. Sun Goes Down (David Guetta & Showtek) (featuring MAGIC! & Sonny Wilson)
xx 12. S.T.O.P (featuring Ryan Tedder)
xx 15. Bad (David Guetta & Showtek) (featuring Vassy)
xx 16. Rise (featuring Skylar Grey)

Shame LOTS wasn't higher sad.gif
Loving those subtitles too heehee.gif

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 14th July 2015, 11:06 PM

LOTS and shot me down should be higher, the former is a good track and the latter is a mess but a kind of in a way good mess

Posted by: Ethan 14th July 2015, 11:12 PM

'lovers on the sun', 'shot you down', & dangerous (robin schulz rmx) should be a LOT higher...

the other 3 are actually the worst tracks on the album laugh.gif

Posted by: mr_aly 14th July 2015, 11:15 PM

So glad 'Shot Me Down' finished low here, god-awful abomination.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry 15th July 2015, 04:11 AM

"Goodbye Friend" tho mad.gif

You all are flops

I hope Hey Mama wins to punish you Daniel

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 08:29 AM

#12. Listen (featuring John Legend)

AVERAGE: 7.25/10
Listen: gavindeejay (9.0)
Turn it off: Henderella (2.0)

So yeah Guetta collaborated with the chart murderer that is Legend but it doesn't actually make for a bad song, although it is quite average really and not one I go back to.

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 08:38 AM

#11. No Money No Love (David Guetta & Showtek) (featuring Elliphant & Ms Dynamite)

AVERAGE: 7.26/10
No money no love: Josh (10.0)
No love for this song: Henderella, LeeWallace (4.0)

Another one of his ~okay~ tracks and so rightly sits in the middle area of the list. The drop does feel a bit disconnected from the rest of the track and the vocal isn't the best either.

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 08:43 AM

#10. S.T.O.P (featuring Ryan Tedder)

AVERAGE: 7.39/10
S.T.O.P: Cody Slayberry (9.5)
Stop right now: Henderella (3.0)

Well this is a bit better, it does sound quite Alesso which is probably why I like it. Plus Ryan proves again that he's good in dance songs.

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 08:47 AM

#09. Rise (featuring Skylar Grey)

AVERAGE: 7.54/10
Rise: Cody Slayberry, LeeWallace (10.0)
Falling: Henderella (4.0)

Another song from the deluxe tracklist drops out here, and I'm not sure why this was demoted to only deluxe edition because it is better than a lot of the songs from the main edition. It even went top 100 on iTunes for a while after being used in a TV show, slay.

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 08:51 AM

#08. Lift Me Up (featuring Nico & Vinz)

AVERAGE: 7.61/10
Lift me up: gavindeejay, Dobbo (10.0)
Drop me off a cliff: Henderella (2.0)

One of the best tracks from the album up next, and one of three album tracks I think definitely should have been singles (although anything would have been a better choice than Hey Mama). Was an instant non-single highlight when I first gave the album a listen (basil.gif) although I now prefer Bang My Head and Yesterday (which are both yet to come)

Posted by: MOBILE ADAM 15th July 2015, 08:53 AM

I actually quite enjoyed Listen sad.gif

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 08:54 AM

#07. Sun Goes Down (David Guetta & Showtek) (featuring MAGIC! & Sonny Wilson)

AVERAGE: 7.68/10
Sun goes down: Ethan (11.0)
Sun blinds you: Henderella (3.0)

Bleh, found this one quite poor in terms of the album but at least it's listenable. The Sonny Wilson vocals are a little offputting but overall it is quite good.

Top 6 coming later in the day which consist of the following.

xx 1. Dangerous (featuring Sam Martin)
xx 2. What I Did For Love (featuring Emeli Sande)
xx 8. Bang My Head (featuring Sia)
xx 9. Yesterday (featuring Bebe Rexha)
xx 10. Hey Mama (featuring Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack)
xx 15. Bad (David Guetta & Showtek) (featuring Vassy)

Who will win then?

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 02:13 PM

#06. What I Did For Love (featuring Emeli Sande)

AVERAGE: 7.74/10
What I did for love: Liam, gavindeejay, James1987 (10.0)
What I didn't do: Regina (-1.0)

Another single down now, and another strong effort by David although not one of my all time faves from him it did the job. It of course helped that we hadn't heard from Emeli Sandé in ages so it didn't suffer from her overexposure. This all means there are 3 singles left in the top 5, will one of them be #1 though?

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 02:17 PM

#05. Bad (David Guetta & Showtek) (featuring Vassy)

AVERAGE: 7.87/10
Bad: Dobbo, mr_aly (11.0)
Really bad: Henderella (1.0)

One of my personal favourites from the album now, which is the single that followed up from 'Shot Me Down' and of course introduced everyone to the Queen of Sass, Vassy, who has now gone on to appear in more dance tracks. The Showtek sound in this is very good and definitely better than the other Showtek/Guetta collabs on the album and also the highest in this countdown.

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 02:22 PM

#04. Hey Mama (featuring Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack)

AVERAGE: 7.96/10
Hey mama: Liam, Josh. (11.0)
Shut up mom: Henderella (2.0)

Thankfully this doesn't win, as it is easily the worst song on the album and the one I always skip. Although I don't seem to hate it as much as Henderella (who really isn't a fan judging by most of his scores). It's just very annoying especially the male vocal in the chorus (and Bebe Rexha's part too to a lesser extent) so of course I was disappointed with this becoming a single.

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 02:31 PM

#03. Yesterday (featuring Bebe Rexha)

AVERAGE: 8.11/10
Yesterday: LeeWallace, Ethan (10.0)
Last year: Henderella (3.0)

This song wouldn't sound out of place on 'True' so unsurprisingly I love it. Avicii did in fact co-produce it too, the song just sounds really good and upbeat and I think would be a great single choice (although Bang My Head needs to be released first).

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 02:35 PM

#02. Dangerous (featuring Sam Martin)

AVERAGE: 8.26/10
Dangerous: Dan, gavindeejay, Dobbo, Cody Slayberry, mr_aly, Ethan (10.0)
Safe: Henderella (3.0)

The highest single here which means we have an album track at #1 ;o This really shocked me in a good way though and I was very glad that it was a big success, outlasting 'Lovers on the Sun' on the chart and probably selling similar numbers to it.

Posted by: Danvicii 15th July 2015, 02:40 PM

#01. Bang My Head (featuring Sia)

AVERAGE: 8.93/10
Bang my head: Josh., gavindeejay, Regina, LeeWallace (10.0)
Bang my toe on the corner of an item of furniture (ouch): Dobbo, Spinning Dev (7.0)

You've chosen a great winner guys cheer.gif This one definitely needs to be a future single anyway, David and Sia collabs really don't fail to impress (even when they're not Titanium, because let's be honest Titanium >>>>>>>> their other songs)

Bad wub.gif

'S.T.O.P.' deserved to be MUCH higher.

If I could go back, I'd give 'What I Did For Love' less than an 8. I pretty much can't stand it now.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry 15th July 2015, 03:35 PM

The male vocal in Hey Mama is a sample of some military chant.

Decent winner, horrible results.

EDIT: "She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)" >>>>>>>>

Posted by: MOBILE ADAM 15th July 2015, 03:39 PM

Mostly pretty good results overall biggrin.gif
Bang My Head was a great track for an album track too. Hopefully it becomes a single dance.gif
Yesterday was also pretty good!
