I actually really liked Wiktoria's clip, though she needs to look a bit less 'rabbit in the headlights' and have a bit more stage presence. Can see me loving the full version of the song though.

Isa's song also sounds very good.

See, Wiktoria doing so well in that tells me that it might just have been a bad/unrepresentative clip.

I've listened to the 5 I'm bothered about in this semi and David's is really good but it is such a rip off of 'Sun Is Shining', much more blatant than 'Heroes' or 'Don't Stop' were said to be last year. I adore Molly's song, I love the deep house influences although I'm not sure it has as wide appeal as 'I'll Be Fine' should've had if not for the app drama. Isa's still not fully clicking in a "oh my this is the winner" way so I shall wait for the full performance to see if that happens, but the delicate tone of voice she uses in the verses in particular is beautiful and love the dramatic choir.

Krista is fun and I hear the comparisons to 'Fan va bra' but I doubt she's making top 4. The verses of Wiktoria's song are amazing but I feel the chorus lets it down. Nevertheless I love the "real country" sound and I don't hear any EDM influences in this one really, she sounds like Carrie Underwood does in 'Good Girl' in places!

Should probably listen to the other two songs but I'd predict the following:
DTF: Isa and the Three Men
AC: David and Wiktoria
5th: Molly
6th: Krista
7th: Victor

(Tempted to swap David and Three Men around, but I have Ravaillacz in my head with that prediction)

David Lindgren - We Are Your Tomorrow 5/10 This is just, there? Which seems to set the tone for this heat quite nicely. Easily his worst entry yet.

Victor och Natten - 100% 3/10 It reminds me a bit of 'Kyss mig' by Axel Algmark from a couple of years ago. And that was terrible.

Molly Pettersson Hammar - Hunger 7/10 Loving this far more than 'I'll Be Fine' on first listen, stick a dance beat over this and it could be a UK chart hit tomorrow.

ISA - I Will Wait 8/10 This is fantastic and together with the perf this is surely going direkt tonight?

Krista Siegfrids - Faller 6/10 Hmmm, this has disappointed me because it sounds like Krista is trying to appeal to the Swedes rather than just doing a great pop song that we know she can do so brilliantly.

Patrik Isaksson, Tommy Nilsson och Uno Svenningsson - Håll mitt hjärta hårt 3/10 Cannot remember how this goes.

Wiktoria - Save Me 7/10 Better than the clip suggested but I'm still not overly confident of her qualifying, her live vocals and performing skills don't seem up to it.

DTG: ISA, David Lindgren
AC: Molly PH, Wiktoria
5th: Old men
6th: Krista Siegfrids
7th: Victor och Natten

okay, listening to the 2:30 studio versions. lindgren's song leaves me deeply underwhelmed. i was expecting something way more explosive. isa's chorus is a bit "...was that it?". the old guys' song is by far the best. what's going on!!!

my rankingses

01 håll mitt hjärta hårt 9/10
---
02 i will wait 6/10
03 we are your tomorrow 6/10
04 faller 6/10
05 save me 6/10
06 hunger 6/10
07 100% 3/10

utterly dreadful

01 - ISA - I did start giggling at the nursery rhyme 50s progression piano in the background but there's no denying this is a behemoth. It's not as good as I'd have hoped but in a heat of 5/10s I'll gladly take an 8.5.

02 - Krista - I think the adult Bengtzing critique is accurate because non-adult Linda wouldn't be caught dead leaving the house without a hook more immediate than this, but disappointment in the chorus aside I like the FEEL of the thing and I trust Krista can perf it out of the park.

03 - The Cocks - WHY IS THIS THIRD IN MY RANKING FOR A HEAT WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU MELODIFESTIVALEN

04 - David Lindgren - it's nice and 'anthemic' but he's all a bit too SCIENTOLOGY for me really.

05 - Wiktoria - Whoever said this was Mimi Werner done right is the most joyless arsehole alive. I mean FUCKING HELL, she SOUNDS LIKE JESSIE J!

06 - Molly P-H - one of my least favourite pop techniques: a dreadful one-line hook repeated desperately in the hope that someone, anywhere likes it. A total waste of quite nice verses. Somewhere in a bedsit in Malmö The Nicole is scowling at the screen because THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN HER

07 - Victor och Natten - Ugh those PIANOS. As someone who prefers my popstars either MISERABLE or HEARTBROKEN I really can't stand this type of Mr Peanutbutter pop (Happy is another grotesque offender). I mean for crying out loud NOBODY CARED ABOUT AXEL ALGMARK CHRISTER, WHY DO YOU THINK THEY'RE GOING TO CARE ABOUT THIS

The irony being that the chorus IS just I'll Be Fine with a dance beat stuck over it!

QUOTE(Qassändra @ Feb 11 2016, 12:10 PM) *

01: David Lindgren - We Are Your Tomorrow
Text och Musik: Anderz Wrethov, Sharon Vaughn, Gustav Efraimsson
William Hill odds on going direkt till finalen (decimal / fractional / projected heat finish): 2.50 / 6/4 / 4th
William Hill odds on winning Melodifestivalen (d / f): 17.00 / 16/1

PRÉCIS: Dead-eyed EDM-peddler comes back from a career in musical theatre to see if he can wring a third time lucky out of the Duracell bunny performer doing gympop formula after crashing out in the final with an embarrassing 3% of the televote last time he tried.

02: Victor och Natten - 100%
Text och Musik: Dag Lundberg, Melker, Jesper Lundh
William Hill odds on going direkt till finalen (decimal / fractional / projected heat finish): 7.00 / 6/1 / 7th
William Hill odds on winning Melodifestivalen (d / f): 81.00 / 80/1

PRÉCIS: Deeply Caucasian hip-hop artist decides to go pop for Melodifestivalen. It won't end well.

03: Molly Pettersson Hammar - Hunger
Text och Musik: Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, Lisa Desmond, Anton Hård af Segerstad, Molly Pettersson Hammar
William Hill odds on going direkt till finalen (decimal / fractional / projected heat finish): 2.20 / 6/5 / 2nd
William Hill odds on winning Melodifestivalen (d / f): 21.00 / 20/1

PRÉCIS: Bride of Dracula (now 'girlfriend' of Robin Stjernberg) and general noxist gets an inexplicable comeback narrative after falling 'victim' to an alleged app voting-based scandal last year with a craven John Newman rip-off. Witness the spectacle of good value facial expressions and a 0/10 voice attempting to power their way to the final.

04: Isa - I Will Wait
Text och Musik: Anton Hård af Segerstad, Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, Nikki Flores
William Hill odds on going direkt till finalen (decimal / fractional / projected heat finish): 1.50 / 1/2 / 1st
William Hill odds on winning Melodifestivalen (d / f): 6.00 / 5/1 (third favourite to win)

PRÉCIS: Undoubted breakout star performer of MF 2015 comes back with a Cheryl-esque dyejob and a ballad hopefully a little more worthy of her than last year's note-for-note Taylor Swift rip-off, composed by last year's Eurovision winners and writer of B-sides for the stars Nikki Flores.

05: Krista Siegfrids - Faller
Text och Musik: Krista Siegfrids, Gabriel Alares, Magnus Wallin, Gustaf Svenungsson
William Hill odds on going direkt till finalen (decimal / fractional / projected heat finish): 2.38 / 11/8 / 3rd
William Hill odds on winning Melodifestivalen (d / f): 21.00 / 20/1

PRÉCIS: Finnish Eurovision flop with the indomitable Marry Me in 2013 decides to turn her Swedish heritage into a Swedish career with a track described as 'the one that Linda Bengtzing should've sent instead'. Fingers crossed the people in the know were wrong on that, but come what may this one's likely to be given 110% at performance.

06: Patrik Isaksson, Tommy Nilsson & Uno Svenningsson - Håll mitt hjärta hårt
Text och Musik: Patrik Isaksson, Tommy Nilsson, Uno Svenningsson
William Hill odds on going direkt till finalen (decimal / fractional / projected heat finish): 4.50 / 7/2 / 6th
William Hill odds on winning Melodifestivalen (d / f): 41.00 / 40/1

PRÉCIS: Three MoR MF veterans team up to produce something none of you will care about.

07: Wiktoria - Save Me
Text och Musik: Jens Siverstedt, Jonas Wallin, Lauren Dyson
William Hill odds on going direkt till finalen (decimal / fractional / projected heat finish): 3.50 / 5/2 / 5th
William Hill odds on winning Melodifestivalen (d / f): 41.00 / 40/1

PRÉCIS: The team behind Anton Ewald go country and decide to front it with a full face, hair and voice of hatred in the form of one-half of a failed pop duo from three years ago, Dash4.

G'WON LOVES. I'm watching the Danish NF but I'll join you all after.
