Yeh the Zane Lowe HR Is relevant as they are similar. Hottest records they think will break through generally get TOTD status a few weeks later.
This week one of the Hottest Records is the new single by Years & Years. Tonight's was the new single by Joey Badass/Keisza! |

Is there even going to be a new playlist today? I thought this week's had already been published on Monday and then it'll be back to Wednesdays from next week? I could be wrong though.

Is 'The Nights' even getting released? No sign of it on iTunes.
R1 didn't playlist Resonance so I don't have much hope for the new one getting support. The future adds looks bang on though, Nothing Really Matters could definitely be this year's Say Something (or even All of Me, but that seems very optimistic). Would love Cheerleader and Something New to be massive #1s too. |

As per my post in the new playlist thread, if we could refrain from using this thread to discuss the weekly playlist that'd be good, since we already have a weekly thread for that purpose and those separate threads are easier to find for future reference than a post in a single large thread. This thread can be used for all other R1-related discussion

Seriously, what is it with Radio 1 playing M83's 'Midnight City' pretty much once every other day? They're as obsessed with the song now as they were when it came out 2 years ago.

There are so many other great older songs they could choose from instead of the same ones over and over again. They also do that a lot with artists which annoys me, in particular All Time Low, You Me At Six and Pendulum. |
