‘People’ or just your comments?

People and reviews too. I saw a lot of reviews on iTunes from people not wanting the throwback tracks on there. To be honest, they shouldn’t be on there as they’re pointless and a waste of money

While we're quite busy talking about the upcoming release of NOW 103, which will be out this Friday, over in the States, they've just released the track list for the upcoming NOW That's What I Call Music! Vol. 71, which will be out on Friday, 02 August 2019. I got word of it as I am subscribed to their mailer, which linked to the product's Amazon.com link.

So, here are the songs that will appear on NOW 71:

01. Jonas Brothers - "Sucker"
02. Shawn Mendes - "If I Can't Have You"
03. Ariana Grande - "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored"
04. Ava Max - "Sweet But Psycho"
05. Billie Eilish - "bad guy"
06. Post Malone feat. Roddy Rich & Tyga - "Wow." (remix)
07. Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus - "Old Town Road" (remix)
08. Khalid - "Talk"
09. Katy Perry - "Never Really Over"
10. 5 Seconds of Summer - "Easier"
11. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - "Call You Mine"
12. Lizzo - "Juice"
13. DJ Khaled feat. SZA - "Just Us"
14. Dean Lewis - "Be Alright"
15. Lewis Capaldi - "Someone You Loved"
16. Dan + Shay - "Speechless"
NOW What's Next Bonus Tracks
17. Freya Ridings - "Lost without You"
18. Kina feat. Snøw - "Get You the Moon"
19. MUNA - "Number One Fan"
20. David Francisco - "Lionheart"

So, it's back to just 20 songs, with only four What's Next bonus tracks, down from the previous five bonus tracks on NOW 70. Unlike before, the track list didn't immediately come with track times. So, I've put them all up on Spotify, and when added up, its total run time is just over 64 minutes long, which leaves a massive 15-minute blank space (!), considering the likes of several songs that run below three minutes.

If you'll notice, majority of the songs here (12, to be precise) have already appeared in the UK NOWs: six from the upcoming NOW 103, five from NOW 102 (including the What's Next track "Lost without You"), and one from NOW 101 (2018) - "Be Alright" by Dean Lewis.

From the outset, it's a decent, but fun selection. Thing is, I haven't heard the other songs here yet, except for "Wow." (the solo version, that is), "Call You Mine", and "Speechless", with the latter being quite a big radio hit in my country, the Philippines, for quite some time now. Khalid's "Talk" is also a big radio hit here (and a sleeper hit as well, I guess). I can also see that the US guys are feeling the love for Lewis Capaldi, too.

Speaking of "Speechless", it's a shame they didn't get the new version featuring Tori Kelly, or even the the new remixes of "Old Town Road" (featuring more urban artists) and "bad guy" (featuring Justin Bieber), similar to how they included the remix of "Wow.". Well, perhaps, the ones included in the album are the more popular versions at the moment.

Welp, no T-Swift, Ed Sheeran and the likes. I also guess they're saving Shawn and Camila's "Señorita" for the next release.

What do you guys think of the songs on the stateside NOW 71?

At least they’re not being anti-urban like they are in the UK. They get "Wow" and we don’t

That's the most proper hits we've had on a Now CD in ages! Plus 'Someone You Loved' will be pretty well known here by the time this is released, and Lizzo, Freya and MUNA on the tracklist is awesome biggrin.gif

If anyone asked what the best NOW in the 100 series is, it would definitely be 101 hands down

It’s actually the one that least appeals to me though. When I saw it’s tracklist I wasn’t even tempted to continue with the series whereas I am a bit tempted by 102 and 103.

NOW 101 is better because it’s a full tracklist which is full of current songs and no throwback tracks

I bought 101 & 102, but I won't buy 103 since they left off "So Am I", and there aren't even enough good tracks on them anymore that I want that I don't already have on the artists' respective albums.

Best deal is Sainsbury’s if your looking to buy both Now 103 and Now 3. £18 for the pair with their Multi deal offer.

Just got my copy of Now 3 and I’m enjoying.

Anyway after a short hiatus, I think I’m going to continue with the series so look forward to getting 101, 102 and 103 over the Summer holidays.

Got my Now 3 in Asda yesterday, £8. Don't buy the regular Nows. Only ever bought Now 9 on cassette and won the first Now on vinyl in a draw. Have bought several spin-offs though and the 1,2, and 3 re-releases.

I love Now 103's tracklisting. Even without the throwbacks, it's 44 tracks long which is more than substantial. Plus all the inclusions make sense, including the likes of Lighthouse Family who get on basically by having a big(ish) album. Am a bit surprised Fashion Week is on and very surprised So Am I missed out. But other than that, it's what I expected.

Also, love that Billie's now been included after missing out with Bury A Friend.

That doesn't necessarily make it better though. You should judge it by the quality of the music.

What an awful track that Dr. Mabuse by Propaganda is on Now 3. Spoils what otherwise is a great album and I love Susanna by The Art Company.

Dr. Mabuse is one of the best tracks on that album tho!
the absolute best being Smalltown Boy, so of course that wasn’t one of the throwback tracks for 103.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Dr. Mabuse but yes, Smalltown Boy is a great track.
