The Vamps confirmed at the opening night of their tour that their third album is called Night & Day, is out on 14th July, will contain 10 tracks and they'll be releasing special edition slipcases for each member. Really excited, both singles so far have been an excellent shift in sound and I can't wait to hear more
I'm surprised they didn't call it Memories... Do Open.
Here's the Tracklist:
1. All Day (feat. Sigala)
2. Everyday (feat. David Guetta)
3. During The Day (feat. Rudimental)
4. Daytime (feat. DJ Fresh)
5. Day After Today (feat. Sigma)
6. All Night (feat. Matoma)
7. Middle Of The Night (feat. Martin Jensen)
8. Every Night (feat. Major Lazer)
9. Tomorrow Night (feat. Jonas Blue)
10. How Many Times Tonight (feat. DJ Cassidy)
Seriously though, I'm really looking forward to this. Could be their best yet with their last 2 singles!
There's obv a Billie Piper cover on this tbh.
Wait, I am so ready for this! Scalp me boys!!!
Some info from Twitter:
- two part album, the Night edition is what's being released on 14th July
- Pre-order on Friday
- the 9th and 10th tracks will vary across the slipcase editions for James, Connor and Tristan, with each of them having written their own songs to include
1 Middle of the Night
2 All Night
3 tba
4 tba
5 tba
6 Shades On
7 tba
8 tba
Loooove the album cover, so much better than the last one!
I'm thinking maybe Part One is mostly this new EDM wave they've got going on, whereas Part Two will be more 'Classic Vamps' (if that's a thing - which it's probably not). Either way, I'm excited. One of the most consistent pop acts of the last few years.
I agree with Joseph that the album cover is really good. A really nice group shot of them and I like the effects on it too (plus Brad looks rly cute ). Off the strength of All Night & Middle of the Night, I'm hoping this is going to be something a bit different for them but still as catchy as their past stuff
There's a couple of new tracks they have performed live as well.
Hands
Shades On
Time Is Not On Our Side
Paper Hearts
Sounds like ''Hands'' features another big DJ in. It looks like Jamie is right as there seems like there is going to be a mix of classic Vamps and EDM sounding Vamps in the album. ''Shades On'' sounds incredible as well!
^ Yeah I'm sure I've seen a photo of him in the studio with James (and maybe Brad)
Full tracklist:
1. Middle of the Night (with Martin Jensen)
2. All Night (with Matoma)
3. Hands (with Matoma & Sabrina Carpenter)
4. Same To You
5. Paper Hearts
6. Shades On
7. It's A Lie (feat. TINI)
8. Stay
Night Edition
1. My Place
2. Sad Song
3. DVD - Live from The O2
What happened with 'Middle of the Night' in the end then?
What happened to the Sigala collab?
So apparently the versions of the album for each of the guys has a different set of songs on it...correct? Bizarre move for an album but there we go! They're performing on Sunday Brunch this weekend on Channel 4...
This comes out tomorrow then. Really love 'Middle of the Night' still but am undecided as to whether to invest in the album or not. I might put it on my birthday list for next month.
Wait this album is only 25 minutes long? Can this even be classed an album?
Do we know the titles of the other 6 bonus songs?
They're performing on The Voice Kids final on Saturday as well so nice promo lined up.
It feels like they were in a really good position again after 'All Night' but since then it's all been squandered/evaporated?
Middle of the Night has a new impact date in the middle of August so I guess there may still be a (very small) chance of it happening?
It does feel like a very baffling point for Radio 1 to drop their support anyway
They're still going?!
The boyband market is wide open for a new group to step in and receive big demand. The Vamps if they got the big break they could fill the void. All Night did extremely well for them, on track for their biggest selling single but they need a huge smash and i don't think it will happen for them. The last album sold poorly so it will be interesting to see if the new album can increase on the sales of its previous.
The singles were so misleading I still think their debut is their best
Listening now and apart from the singles I'm not overly impressed... Shades On is fairly decent though but that's more down to Will Simms' production
Great performance on The One Show on Friday night:
Will be interesting to see how this gets on this week with all the different versions available!
Looks as if they are heading to #1 then! Good on 'em I say.
The different versions are certainly helping as its clearly going to be this weeks number 1 album. Sales over 24,000 at this point. I do fear the multiple release will be a one week only benefit and the album will fall rapidly next week and thereafter.
The album is quite good overall, if perhaps a little patchy in the middle. Sad Song is a bit of a Starving rip-off though
The question I'm wondering having yet to listen to the album: Are the band members actually playing instruments anywhere on it?
It's A Lie is a cool track, I've stil lgotta hear the full album!
Bonus tracks:
James Edition
9. I Love Loving You (feat. Joe Don Rooney)
10. Higher
Tristan Edition
9. Come Grind With Me
10. All Around the World (feat. Will Simms)
Connor Edition
9. On My Way
10. Middle of the Night (feat. Sainte) [Rock Version]
Connor's bonus tracks are definitely the best, the rest are all very "b-side". The Middle of the Night rock version had me sceptical but it's nowhere near as bad as it sounds
They were lovely at the signing once again, Connor recognised me again and finally he knows my name! Their short acoustic gig afterwards consisted of Shades On, Middle of the Night, Sad Song, Can We Dance and All Night.
Oh dear...it's down to #31 in the first set of midweeks...
The question now is can it manage to retain a top 40 position.
Come on dropping from 1 to outside the Top 40
This album is so good, I wish the bonus tracks from the other editions were on Spotify though!
1-35
A record breaking album *.*
The extra tracks are now out as an EP on iTunes and Spotify!
1 I Love Loving You (feat. Joe Don Rooney)
2 Higher
3 On My Way
4 Middle of the Night (feat. Sainte) [Rock Version]
5 Come Grind with Me
6 All Around the World (feat. Will Simms)
