This is legit terrible.
The lyrics are so cringe and sounds like a 15 year old wrote them. “Shawty”. It sounds like a 15 year old Bieber release |

I hate all these girls releasing music about how they need a man in their lives. NO GIRL.
I do like it, it's catchy and love the beat. |

I like it quite a lot actually but it is pretty generic. Maybe a Mad Love sized hit

Her music is starting to sound very samey and generic imo. I prefer her earlier material tbh as it had a bit of an edge to it .

Pretty disappointed in this, it's fine but quite throwaway If this is a new era (I expect it'll be a standalone or re-release, but still) there's little to no progression.

it's been added to High Expectations as track 1.
quite liking this, it's an improvement over Mad Love at least. |

Why has she added to new album ?
She has done this throughout two campaigns. This should have started a new campaign . I find the song catchy but I prefer Mabel when she is in the old school / rnb Lane. This is pure pop. |

That hook line though has already managed to get into my head and I’m mentally singing along to it!
Top 20 hit maybe. If nothing else, I think this will put her on the radar for some more dance producers like Clean Bandit and Sigala maybe. No reason why Jax Jones wouldn’t choose to work with her again in his next era eventually too. |

oh this is a big blip from her after such a fantastic run of singles
definitely throwaway and generic, the ‘all my girls around the world’ is just so cliche and doesn’t fit with the song. I like the post-chorus but a misfire sadly |

Feel like it could have done with a featured artist perhaps just to change it up slightly.

Mabel has to be the most frustrating pop star at the moment. She has potential to be great but then something so limp and generic like this comes along.

I like a bit of DJ Mustard style production so yes for that. The song in its style of pop reminds me of Rita Ora tbh, if I heard it on the radio without knowing who it was I could easily mistake it for being by Rita Ora. The lyrics in the chorus I find cringey unfortunately. 'Mad Love' was better.
QUOTE I hate all these girls releasing music about how they need a man in their lives. NO GIRL. Probably down to the influence of the popularity of Love Island All these men releasing music about how they need a woman in their lives too is equally annoying. We need less songs about these subject matters. This post has been edited by The S***e: 26th February 2020, 05:50 PM |

Disappointed after such a strong run of singles from her. It's just so throwaway and forgettable. I guess it was only a matter of time before she had a dip on quality but what a shame

Deffo not as good as DCMU and Mad Love, but I'm still enjoying it.
