Taylor Swift spends a second week at number one!
Congratulations to Taylor Swift, who with Wildest Dreams has ended a four week period of the number one passing in different hands each week. Wildest Dreams is the first song to spend a second consecutive week at the top since Glitterball's second run at number one. That song is a non-mover at #8. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself holds firm at #2. Following its full release, where it hit #1 in the official chart, Easy Love climbs 11 places to #3. Years & Years finish the top 5 with Shine and Memo occupying positions #4 and #5. Meanwhile, Kygo and Ella Henderson shoot up 16 places to #6 with Here For You. Ella Eyre makes two top 10 appearances with Together moving 5-7 and Good Times sliding 4-9. Ties rounds off the top 10, falling three places to do so. Climbers and entries Feline continues to make waves in the chart, with Always jumping 15-12, Even If moving up 17-14, Alone Too jolting 37-20, If I Go soaring 64-41, Gravity moving upwards 65-52 and Home, Worry About You, Typical Me, Everyone Goes Your Way, Don't Follow Me, We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off and All About You entering at #51, #67, #77, #81, #85, #92 and #93 respectively. The only songs from the album to move southwards are Comeback (27-40) and Deeper (85-99). Michael Jackson's Billie Jean is new at #44, and the only other new entry comes from Justin Bieber with the surprisingly good What Do You Mean. Possible follow-ups include Who Is That Guy?, Why Are You Going? and What Are You Wearing?, to continue with the trend of questions from a stressy mum, started with the awful Where Are You Now? As I finally received Now 91 yesterday, it has a light effect on the chart. The primary beneficiaries are Can't Stop Playing (Makes Me High) and Don't Look Down, which both re-enter at #74 and #93. Three songs climb in the top 40. Those are Do It Again (59-34), Tiny Dancer (69-36) which is the biggest climber this week, and Intoxicated (43-38). The biggest faller is Little Mix's Hair, which crashes 43 places to #100. |

Hey there Taylor Jago.
Gorgeous number one there! It is my second favourite single from the '1989' era thus far, only beaten out by 'Bad Blood (Remix)'. Brilliant to see that you have charted 'What Do You Mean?' - probably already in my top 5 of his! Oh also amazing to see 'Billie Jean' here, a complete classic and probably my second fave MJ song after 'Thriller'. Fab stuff <3 |
