It has an eventful history but not all for the right reasons - in past years it became intensely overcrowded as a result of the Republican government's oppression of the Carellisienne ethnic minority in the country. Millions of Carellisiennes were ordered to leave their homes across the country and relocate to the city. Most became homeless, crime and disease were rampant and the government's bombings of the city were responsible for the bulk of the casualties in the Persephonian Civil War of 2010-12. Thankfully this is a chapter confined to history and in the 28 months since the fall of the Republic, the city has totally transformed itself from the war-ravaged wasteland it once was. The new government under President Salim Zosimus restored the rights of the Carellisienne people and relocated the country's capital to Carellis, since helping to oversee the building of a large international airport and other construction projects including the Carellis Arena - from which we now speak to you, following Persephonia's surprise win in the last edition of the BuzzJack Song Contest. Carellis is located by the River Haze (one of the two major rivers which flow throw Persephonia) and the city centre where the Arena is located is only a 30 minute walk from the Twikandean Sea and its beautiful beaches. It is also only a short drive to other large cities Victoireville and Port-Iosiff. We hope visitors will enjoy their stay here as we plan a contest full of SURPRISES. Feel free to hang around and explore our country, though we advise staying away from the Daehunese border as Daehun smells quite bad. I have an entry but now that I know I'm guaranteed an AQ I'm kind of tempted to switch to something a little less safe. Both of my potentials are incredible though so basically going for that double win ~ AQ curse hu?

I've got a couple of options. Will narrow them down a wee bit and chuck them into my national thread.

I have a very Persephonian entry lined up (in that Bré will like it, but it mostly likely will massively DNQ or if it makes the final finish around 23rd/24th). HYPE.

Got my entry ready, very different to anything I've sent before (as I said in the other thread) but it oozes swag

As this is a Persephonian hosted contest, the countries that finish 23rd and 24th will be treated with the same prestige as the winners.

I have lined up what has been described as a nice slice of quirky indie pop. I adore it but have no idea what to expect from it (not an end to the current 'qualification' streak )

I have a song in similar style to Palette so will be hoping to see the same countries giving me points this time as well.

I have an potential entry which it's perhaps approaching the wrong time of year to send, but its such a lovely little song and not faceless EDM so I may go ahead, sounds a bit like Owl City, make of that what you will.

I've got two entries and I'm not sure which to go with, decisions, decisions. One may be too subtle and one's probably veto worthy anyway
