Seems like it's been around since then as that's when the buzz began and it rose on iTunes. I'm easy with radio 1 having short playlist runs for pop acts like LM, 1D and Rihanna as their tracks get rinsed on loads of other stations and it in theory should make space for other bands that don't get as much support.
That and it's not like songs don't get played at all once they leave the playlist. |

I half expected Little Mix to be taken off last week so I'm not shocked by them being taken off this week. They had three weeks A-listed didn't they?

Another relatively boring playlist update. Really thought they would add Mike Posner this week, and was hoping for Sia too.
This is disgusting one direction would never have such a short staybon playlist damb poor little mix Except both Steal My Girl and Night Changes got the same number of weeks on the playlist as Secret Love Song... Xmas? Not even close; SLS went C-B-A-A-A. That's got to be one of the shortest A-list runs in recent times. Not at all - both DJ Fresh and Shift K3y were removed recently after just 2 weeks on the A-list. This post has been edited by Mango: 24th February 2016, 09:50 PM |

Not at all - both DJ Fresh and Shift K3y were removed recently after just 2 weeks on the A-list. I didn't realise that the DJ Fresh and Shift K3y runs were that brief, but then again, both completely flopped so it was probably difficult to justify their inclusion on the A-list. SLS, on the other hand, is still top 10. |

SLS, on the other hand, is still top 10. 3 weeks on the A list is pretty silly to turn your nose up at, I agree, but as the song has done so well, is still peaking and we're only on its impact week now. If you look at Ellie Goulding, One Direction and Jason Deulo's 3rd singles, they all spent longer on the playlists. I don't see why they did take it off so early, especially as on its first week A list it had less plays than even songs on the B list, so technically only had two weeks A list. I do think that maybe R1 didn't feel the song was for their listeners, and I'm sure they'll fully get beind a more upbeat 4th single. |

Looks like Aluna are back in Radio 1's good books! How I wish 'Supernatural', the 'You Know You Like It' remix and the ZHU collaboration 'Automatic' had been supported though - all of those are about 100 times better.

Thank you Joseph! I unexpectedly had to work late again tonight... If anyone is willing to take over posting the playlist from me each week that would be great.

Happy to see Katy B still getting R1 support, even though I can't see this new campaign doing much.
