Also. Gravel traps to be mandatory on every track that ain’t a proper street circuit. f*** the car parks So. Much. This. Drivers should be punished for errors (or forced to concede in a battle). I can't tell you how rubbish it is that if you run off the track and GAIN A PLACE, you just need to give that place back or get a 5 second penalty. Run off the track and park your car in the gravel or limp back to the pits for a fresh set of tyres (or at the very least, get slowed down by the gravel and suffer with poor grip for a few laps). |

missed most of it :/ but whose fault was it? was it Bottas? cos the commentators on UK TV and Spanish TV gave a completely different story Bottas was pretty much the only driver definitely not at fault on that restart. Rules state he is allowed to dictate the pace, if other drivers go before the lead car then they are to blame. |

Just checked and seen this. Twelve drivers have received an official warning for their driving on the restart.
Stewards issued the warning for what they deemed to have been the "inconsistent application of throttle and brake" from the following drivers: Kevin Magnussen Daniil Kvyat Nicholas Latifi Alexander Albon Lance Stroll Daniel Ricciardo Sergio Perez Lando Norris Esteban Ocon George Russell Antonio Giovinazzi Carlos Sainz This post has been edited by Severin: Sep 13 2020, 10:53 PM |

Looking at the footage again, I'm surprised George Russell hasn't been mentioned as the main culprit. Of all the drivers he's the one who backs up, leaving a gap, floors it and then brakes, giving everyone behind the wrong impression and then nowhere to go.
Look here https://youtu.be/jQ3Tt9M2PbY?t=1280 There were too many drivers, who are obviously inexperienced at rolling starts, who should probably spend some time watching how Indycars do it. This post has been edited by Severin: Sep 13 2020, 11:22 PM |

I believe the leaders in the support races had also re-started in the same way over the weekend, with no incident behind them. It's not something you see often but certainly not wrong. |

Was the Tuscan Grand Prix the first non-wet race to restart twice after being red flagged twice?

Too early to definitively rate the drivers, there's still almost half a season left to go!

Not Hamilton only getting a chance to set a time because Lance f***ing Stroll pansied out of the Q2 restart. *adds new item to list of thinks to hate Stroll for*
We came so close to an interesting race |

I've been following the sport for 20 years and I've never heard of such a rule that Lewis was penalised for. You'd have thought it would have happened at least once by some novice or whatever so very much a head-scratcher. At least the penalty points were rescinded, common sense prevailing there. Plus the team gave him the green light to do it so that's 2 wins Merc have cost Lewis in the past 3 races! #conspiracy
Anyhow won't make a jot of difference in the "title race", pretty sure Lewis could finish behind Bottas at every remaining race this season and still win it. Bottas' little "f*** you" comment at the end was cute, as if this race wasn't handed to him on a plate... Not sure what's happened to Sainz this season, think his brain has been scrambled by the sheer terror of joining Ferrari next year! |

^it was Sanz's first error, not sure what you're talking about. All pilots make errors like every five minute, just look at Vettel or Stroll.

Not sure what's happened to Sainz this season, think his brain has been scrambled by the sheer terror of joining Ferrari next year! I'd not come across that before but it was apparently not a sporting regulation as much as a race directive. Sky's team even quoted page and paragraph long before the penalty was issued so it wasn't exactly unknown info. Mercedes also said that when Lewis asked if he could go further out to practice his start, they had no idea he was that far out already and as soon as they realised they knew the stewards wouldn't like it. Mercedes say that didn't even see the first infringment. Christian Horner made an interesting suggestion that Mercedes have become complacent through their dominance and (possibly coupled with uncertainty over Toto's future) that has led to a degree of sloppiness recently. I thought Bottas' triumphalism was funny too. Being outqualified by Verstappen (as brilliant as he is) when you car is at least a second a lap faster should be cause to hang your head in shame. Then, when you get gifted the race you should just be grateful and shut the hell up. And speaking of Verstappen, he is far and away the absolute best driver out there form wise right now. He's making a poor Red Bull look almost competitive |

That's a massive blow for Red Bull, not sure what they're gonna do now. Can't go back to Renault after the public slagging match between the pair. Obviously Merc ain't gonna lend to a rival so that leaves... Ferrari

Not heard any talk of other engine suppliers coming i |

Likewise, plus I imagine with the current situation not many will be likely to. It's a little similar to the 2009 overhaul following the financial crisis which effectively reset the order so we'll see.

The only only plausible possibilities are Red Bull buying Honda's engine development team or a Mugen Honda type situation.
Neither of which seem likelier than Red Bull pulling out of F1 altogether. This is going to have some major repercussions in the sport |

Red Bull crawled back to Renault in the past, remember the Tag engines? I think that is most likely. Renault only have the Factory Alpine team from the end of the year and the Engine is far better than Ferrari, and there or there about with Merc
