Today I'm making the leap from iPhones to Huawei. I've had iPhones since 2011 and never thought I'd say this, but I finally have got bored of them, and their cameras aren't really that good.

My brother has a Huawei P20 Pro and was showing me how it works, what the camera is like etc and I thought they looked pretty good. That was back in October and yesterday I ordered the P30 Pro... which is going to arrive today! cheer.gif

On Monday I spent two hours watching youtube videos of reviews of the p30 pro. They look incredible, especially the camera, which was its main selling point for me.

I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about switching from apple to android, I'm sure it'll take some getting used to laugh.gif

Does anyone here have a Huawei phone? Good/bad points?

I don’t but my Chinese coworkers mostly do and consider it the best type of phone.

There has been some negative publicity around them launching in the West, privacy concerns and such. I haven’t reseached it enough to say how accurate that is.

Yeah I had seen some of those rumours and conspiracies too but like you haven't really looked into it. You could say the same about Apple, Samsung, any of these big tech companies really.

So far so good. Its taking some getting used to but it seems easier to use than I thought. I still feel like there is so much to explore with this phone though in the settings etc. and I haven't tested the camera out properly yet, but I'm hoping to go out and do that at the weekend.

The only thing that is bothering me is that some apps I had on my iPhone, I can't get on google play which is annoying

Aren't they second to Apple now, even outselling Samsung?

I've just moved from Huawei back to Apple, however if I were ever to get an Android phone again then it would most definitely be a Huawei. I had the P Smart and it was an incredibly reliable phone!
