Justin Bieber is back with another track, this time as a feature on David Guetta's '2U' - can he replace himself from #1 yet again? Other new singles include Sigala & Ella Eyre's 'Came Here for Love', Annie LeBlanc & Hayden Summerall's 'Little Do You Know', Miley Cyrus' 'Inspired' and Alma's 'Chasing Heights', whilst Ariana's charity live rendition of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', released midweek last week, will be hoping to make an impact on the chart.

A big week for albums as London Grammar and Katy Perry go head to head with their respective albums. Other new releases include albums from Fleetwood Mac members' Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie, Lady Antebellum, Glen Campbell and Rise Against.

From Mint Royale:
QUOTE
The Katy Perry album is at 4, selling less than 1/3rd of London Grammar at number 1. I think it's fair to say her imperial phase has ended.

Lol.

Expect it to fall further.

The more people hear the bland tuneless mess and the more teviews the more it falls.

Witness definitely isn't her best but Roulette sounds like a smash hit in the future

My guess is that Glen Campbell and Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie are in the Top 3 at this stage.

I expected London Grammar to be #1, but I think Ed Sheeran will be #1 by the end of the week.

Still yet to hear the new album from London Grammar

Guetta will be absolutely nowhere near #1 (in terms of sales), Despacito is still galaxies ahead and will probably remain that way for the entire summer. Top 5 for 2U with an increase in peak in later weeks when its streaming has built up.

Sigella I would say top 30 is possible.

Having heard the David Guetta track I can't see it going to #1, it'll be this year's Let Me Love You equivalent.

Despacito will be #1 all summer long.

Poor Katy, although I knew that it wouldn't have a chance against LG

Katy Perry has had a good run of hits stretching back over 9 years so it was to be expected that at some point the hits would become smaller and her sales would decline. To be honest, one top 10 hit single apart, she has struggled for the past 4 years. As Echo & The Bunnymen once sang "nothing (ever) lasts forever".

Yes lots of artists naturally decline after a while due to changes in the market but Katy is a victim due the fact her latest material just isn't as strong. Chained to the rhythm was decent but is probably the strongest most commercial friendly cut on the album but there is very little else which is likely to strike her a substantial sized hit this time around.

Re Mint Royale's comment that "The Katy Perry album is at 4, selling less than 1/3rd of London Grammar at number 1" what ballpark figures do people think that puts their respective Sales on, KP on 8K and LG on 24K ?
Surely not less than 8K for KP?

I said earlier that KP prob sold 5k but it would surprise me that LG have sold 15k on day 1. I expected LG to open with 10k first day but surely KP couldnt have sold just 3.3k.

Also, I asked this in the Lorde thread just now but I thought I'd post it here too as it's likely to gather more predictions here.

Predix for Melodrama next week? I'm going with 20k, just slightly higher than her debut albums opening sales.
