The artist with the most entries this week are Arctic Monkeys, who released their latest album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino last week. 4 songs from the album are in my top 40, and Mardy Bum from their album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not also makes an appearance. This week's biggest riser is Quarter Past Midnight by Bastille, which rose 23 places from #2 to #2. It's a great comeback song for them, and I can't wait to hear their new album! Another riser is Empress by Snow Patrol, which rose 9 places from #26 to #17, it's now just a few weeks from the release of their new album Wildness, their first album since Fallen Empires in 2011. Other notable new entries include One Rizla by indie band from South London, Shame, which has made it to #11 and Made An America by metalcore band The Fever 333. Next week I'm expecting International Blue by Manic Street Preachers to rise, after their fantastic performance on Later with Jools Holland. I'd never listened to the Manics before seeing that performance, but now I'm hooked! Other rises I expect to see come from The Darkness and Black Veil Brides. I'm also expecting to see new entries from OneRepublic ft. Logic, Clean Bandit & Selena Gomez and possibly Tom Grennan. See you next week! The new Y&Y song is brilliant, though I wasn't sure at first. I can't wait for the album. |

Here for the M-22 new entry.
First heard it back in January, song of the summer for me so far, really back into it. Sounds so good in the club or pub |

Hey Who!
Arctic Monkeys #1! I wasn't a huge fan of their album but FOOF was definitely a highlight What a climb for Bastille though Hopefully they can overtake Arctic Monkeys next week Just realised how fast your chart is nothing is safe! Shame that Panic! are out but I guess that song isn't very new anymore "High Hopes" is coming out this week though so I have high hopes for that, Im really looking forward to their album! Interesting chart! |
