It's amazing how a song like 'Radar' went from being one of the best tracks she ever did to becoming the bane of Britney's discography and beocming the joke of lots of internet memes!
'Make Me' video deserved to beat out 'From the bottom...' and 'Ooh La La' at the very least. |

The best thing I can say about any of these videos so far is THAT hat in the 'From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart' video. :') No big losses at all thus far.

Highest Scorers: 10.0 | princess_lotti --- Lowest Scorers: 3.0 | HarryEzra, Music Maniac One of Brit's absolute best ballads. The video is very vintage in it's feel and compliments the song well enough and although it looks very nice, it's a bit forgettable and in about it's right position in a Britney video rate. Such a beautiful song though and it's the song 'My Baby' wishes it was. |

And another video subject to controversy and a scrapped original concept. I don't know the full details here, but I think it was something to do with violence and a gun that made them pull the original so we had to settle for beige. It's fine though, you can watch it and still enjoy the song. |

Next to Make Me, Perfume looks like a masterpiece!
 I think Perfume, again, suffers in the eyes of the fans because we know it was supposed to be much darker but on the surface, you can't expect much more from a popstar video. The beauty shots are magnificent, it actually has a storyline, the colours and tones used are matched to the emotions in the song and did I mention she looks amaaaaazing?! |

'Perfume' has a video that suffers a lot from stuff that was at least somewhat out of its control. First of all, there's the obvious - people expected a different, more exciting video. People didn't want pretty, uneventful Britney when they had heard about a video involving Britney as an assassin, a stalker, shooting and so on. Honestly though, I think the main thing is that people hated 'Perfume' both as a song and a video because when it came out, it was obvious that the era was in need of major help and neither the audio nor the visual were strong enough to do that. There was a lot of resentment because Britney needed something to get people excited, and nothing to do with 'Perfume' was exciting. I'll be honest myself in that I'm willing to believe that a lot of my negative feeling towards 'Perfume' comes from wanting something better, and associating the disappointment surrounding that song with the disappointment of the Britney Jean album.
It's a boring video, but I would probably look at it much more positively if it came at a happier time of her career. I just didn't need something so uninspiring at a time when being a Britney fan was already difficult. I needed her to wow me. |

Happy to see Make Me at the very bottom of the pile, such a shambles. At least some of the uneventful videos that have been revealed to be above it are for the most part well shot / not annoying / compliment the audio. Radar horse *.* |

Now that all is said and done with the 'Britney Jean' era, I actually kinda like the 'Perfume' video. It was the ONLY good choice as a second single from that album besides 'Alien'. I fully agree with Umi's post! With that being said the song is still phenomenal and the video is at least leaps and bounds ahead of the lackluster videos that have been revealed before it.

33 | 'Break The Ice' (AVG. 5.80)
Highest Scorers: 11 | HausOfKubrick --- Lowest Scorers: -01 | AddyK!ng, Kye, Music Maniac OKAY. This is a bit too low for my liking. Does it deserve top 20? Nah. But, it does deserve to be above videos such as 'Pretty Girls', 'I'm Not A Girl,...' and 'DLMBTLTK'. So, it deserved top 30 at least. The video for 'Break The Ice' marks Britney's first and last animated video, unless you count that inferior clip for 'Kill The Lights' (let's not), which lacks the creativity and visual brilliance brought to us by Robert Hale. The anime-influenced animation video was based on the superheroine character of Spears' "Toxic" music video, and portrays her destroying a highly secured laboratory with several clones, including one of herself. I remember a lot of people bitching about this video in 2008, but I LOVED it when I first saw it. And really, considering where she was at the time, we should be glad we got a second single, much less a third. That "To Be Continued" tag tho? When are we getting that! This era please! That way she can release every song on the album with an anime video after the first 5~ Brb weeping for tinder queen, Jake. |
