20. Keith Lemon
(16 points)

Everyone's favourite strawberry blonde potty mouth finishes in 20th position! Keith Lemon is the alter ego of Leigh Francis and is best known for presenting ITV 2's hit panel show Celebrity Juice. Whilst the show is now a shadow of its former self, it still remains very popular and continues to push the boundaries of acceptability. ITV have been pushing Lemon into primetime roles on ITV in the last couple of years; he's presented Through The Keyhole and Sing If You Can with Stacey Solomon to name just two. His act didn't quite work in primetime, since it centers around being rude and provocative.

19. David Dimbleby
(17 points)

Narrowly avoiding the embarrassment of a last place finish is the national institution known as David Dimbleby. Mr Dimbleby has been the presenter of the BBC's Election Night Results since time began (or at least it feels like it) and has continued to very competently do the job at the tender age of 76. There are rumours that 2015 was his final election night as the main host, however, he has dismissed these rumours. Other than Election Night, Dimbleby can be seen presenting Question Time every Thursday night. He's certainly done an amazing job and continues to grill the politicians better than some of the journalists half his age.

Both are dead wood tbh.

Posted by: Noahspike 12th May 2015, 11:24 PM

Surprised Keith Lemon is last! Not a huge fan of him myself and have only seen him present 'Celebrity Juice' but he can be hilarious in small doses/when you're in the mood for it so I thought I'd throw him a few points. happy.gif

Posted by: April 13th May 2015, 07:24 PM

18. Zoe Ball
(21 points)

The ever bubbly and ever lovely Zoe Ball crashes out next in 18th position - too low in my opinion! Zoe Ball is best known for being the first female DJ on Radio 1's Breakfast Show, however as many TV credits to her name also. Most recently, Ball has hosted Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two as well as covering for Claudia Winkleman on the main programme for a few episodes last series. Zoe Ball was fantastic on the main show - it's a shame she can't replace the awfully beige Tess Daly. Zoe Ball also regularly as a segment presenting in Children in Need and has even presented Top of the Pops many moons ago.

Zoe Ball is obviously most known for the iconic Doctor Who Live shows, both the Afterparty and the 12th Doctor reveal.

Posted by: April 13th May 2015, 07:31 PM

17. Rochelle Humes
(25 points)

Queen Rochelle Humes is criminally only placed at #17! tongue.gif Who am I kidding? She's not the best presenter but she gets an A* for effort and being flawless. Her presenting career began back in 2005 on CBBC's Smile. However, her presenting career went on hold after joining The Saturdays. Recently, Rochelle can be seen on practically every ITV show in existence, notably This Morning and Ninja Warrior UK. Meanwhile on the BBC, she's a regular team captain on Sweat The Small Stuff and presented her first ever Children In Need night last year. She's just started out in the presenting world and is definitely one to watch.

P.S. Cameron wanted me to include the fact that she performed and hosted at the BJSC 73 Final. Apparently.

Zoe Ball far too low, she's upbeat, fun, not dumb, and is married to fatboy Slim himself. She also interrupted her career to be mum, and oh yes her dad is kids TV legend Johnny Ball.

pah! ohmy.gif

Rochelle far too low cry.gif

16. Sarah-Jane Crawford
(33 points)

Another leap up to 33 points and we find Sarah-Jane Crawford who just misses out on a top 15 position. Sarah-Jane is most prominently known for her radio work on BBC Radio 1Xtra. However, she's also done voiceovers for many MTV chart countdowns and most recently presented The Xtra Factor in 2014. It was announced recently that Sarah-Jane will be leaving the show, which is a shame because she worked well on the programme.

15. Fearne Cotton
(34 points)

A slightly surprise for me to see Fearne Cotton finishing at just #15. Despite being quite young, Fearne has already achieved a lot in her career. After starting out on CBBC, she quickly moved into regular TV work through landing the Top of the Pops main presenter role with fellow CBBC star Reggie Yates. Alongside this, the duo began to present the chart show for Radio 1. However, Fearne's career took off massively with her presenting Children In Need, the national finals for Eurovision and Love Island (which is returning this Summer with Caroline Flack). Before long, Cotton bagged both The Xtra Factor and Celebrity Juice. She has even been seen as part of the presenting team for big national events like the Diamond Jubilee and Royal Wedding.

14. Alan Carr
(37 points)

Everyone's favourite camp comedy presenter turned chat show host (or is that technically Graham Norton?) finishes in 14th position. Alan Carr is best known for his chat show Chatty Man. However, he was also part of the Sunday Night Project. If you haven't seen it before, it was amazing and I'm gutted they stopped making it! If that's not all, in 2014, Alan presented a brand new talent show on Channel 4 called The Singer Takes It All. It was pretty bad. Alan is the first presenter who received a 12 points to drop out of the countdown. Poor ha.

THE JOKE IS OVER NOW PEOPLE.

Posted by: April 18th May 2015, 07:43 PM

13. Jimmy Carr
(44 points)

It's a double Carr finish as Jimmy finishes just ahead of Alan! Jimmy Carr with the annoying and obviously fake laugh is best known for 8 Out of 10 Cats on Channel 4. One job I don't mind him doing is the Big Fat Quiz of the Year (also on Channel 4) which is always a great watch! Also as if by magic.gif Jimmy is the second person who received a 12 to be knocked out of the running!

12. Konnie Huq
(44 points)

Infamous Xtra Factor and Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq underperforms and only reaches #12. She's now in danger of being dropped from her record label. I think streaming blocked her from the top 10 just like Taylor. cry.gif

Highest score: 10 points from Liam and Noahspike

Posted by: April 29th May 2015, 09:53 PM

11. Claudia Winkleman
(48 points)

Claudia Winkleman finds herself in the dreaded 11th position, just missing out on a top 10 position. Winkleman is known not only for winning the Eurovision Song Contest with "Euphoria" kink.gif but also her amazing TV career. Most recently, she began presenting the BBC's flagship programme Strictly Come Dancing alongside Tess Daly. It's very refreshing to see a female duo on Saturday nights - shame about Tess though. Claudia can also be seen fronting the BBC's weekly Film programme and the Great British Sewing Bee on BBC Two. Claudia is so underrated, her wacky sense of humour is perfect and it's a shame she missed the top 10.

Posted by: FROOT. 29th May 2015, 10:31 PM

Re Konnie: Underperforming? She well and truly OVER performed especially considering that her husband is not here (not that I would count him as a presenter really).

Posted by: Noahspike 30th May 2015, 01:26 PM

Konnie has always been a fave, ever since her Blue Peter days wub.gif. She's charismatic, charming, fun, hilarious (intentionally and otherwise), self-deprecating - I used to tune into Xtra Factor almost solely to watch her troll the entire show. I'd definitely say she's underrated at only #12!

Posted by: April 16th June 2015, 07:37 PM

10. Dermot O'Leary
(51 points)

Everyone's favourite bulgetastic former X Factor presenter, Dermot O'Leary, is next up in the countdown at #10. It might be harder to remember that far back, but O'Leary was the longest serving presenter of Big Brother's Little Brother. Since then, he conquered the TV world after joining The X Factor in 2007, regularly appearing on many awards shows as the host and even a guest stint on This Morning. Dermot has occasionally been seen on BBC's Comic Relief to front a portion of the telethon.

Highest score: 10 points from popchartfreak

Posted by: April 16th June 2015, 07:41 PM

09. Holly Willoughby
(55 points)

Finishing one place head of Dermot is his old mate Holly Willoughby, who has become another staple of ITV's main programming. Originally starting out on CBBC and CITV, Willoughby was leaped into primetime through Dancing On Ice in 2006. Before long, she found herself fronting This Morning, a team captain on Celebrity Juice, host of Text Santa, Surprise Surprise and most recently Play To The Whistle. Holly has even managed to find time to present the first two series of The Voice UK on BBC One and have an endless number of kids.

Kanak deserved to win if only for her life-affirming presenting skills on the Xtra Factor.

Posted by: April 25th June 2015, 07:22 PM

08. Davina McCall
(55 points)

Big Mother (no shade to Emma Willis), Davina McCall finishes next with the same score as Holly Willoughby, but higher because she received two 12s. Davina has been a staple of UK TV for over 15 years, starting out presenting the likes of MTV and Don't Try This At Home. Her big break came in 2000 when she became the face of Big Brother UK, as well as a staple of the Comic Relief appeal nights. Davina has even taken her hand to presenting the BRIT Awards TWICE! More recently, she can be seen fronting The Million Pound Drop, The Jump and Long Lost Family.

07. Stephen Fry
(59 points)

It's easy to forget Stephen Fry is a TV presenter, but he is! Stephen has fronted BBC Two's hit show QI since it started in 2003. He is popular for his witty sense of humour and the madness he brings to proceedings. I don't like him much as a presenter, but I think he's brilliant elsewhere.

06. Ant & Dec
(60 points)

Everyone's favourite Geordies (sorry Cheryl) are up next on the countdown. Ant & Dec are basically the kings of entertainment presenting. They win all the awards and have all the biggest gigs. Of course, they started life back on Byker Grove, but their first TV major gig was SMTV: Live alongside the lovely Cat Deeley. This show launched them into the hearts of the nations and they never looked back. They've gone on to host Pop Idol, the BRIT Awards twice, Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, I'm a Celebrity, Britain's Got Talent, Red or Black and Text Santa. All of course on ITV. Ant & Dec are pretty much ITV through and through.

Highest score: 10 points from Dan, Rabbit Froot

Posted by: Griff 25th June 2015, 07:40 PM

Davina McCall became VERY unlikable as Big Brother went on where she moved into a more 'bitch' role. I don't like her very much.

Ant & Dec were great when they started out, but slowly and disappointingly became more finetuned for the Saturday night viewers of ITV1.

Posted by: April 25th June 2015, 07:43 PM

05. Emma Willis
(63 points)

Big Mother II (the fake version) AKA Emma Willis manages to clinch a place in the top 5 of the countdown. I can reveal that the top 5 are all extremely close with just a few points separating Emma from #1. Her rise to fame has been quite remarkable really. She started out life as MTV's main presenter before landing both I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now and Big Brother's Little Brother roles. Her first presenting role on a terrestrial channel came from Channel 5 with Live from Studio Five. Following its move from Channel 4 to 5, Willis continued to host the Big Brother spin-off before landing the main job herself in 2013. Just a year later, she then joined The Voice UK and most recently flop BBC One show Prized Apart.

04. Graham Norton
(65 points)

Mr Friday Night himself, Graham Norton finishes just ahead of Emma Willis in fourth position. I must admit, Graham Norton is by far the best chat show host on TV and his show has me in stitches every time. Of course, he's helped by having amazing line-ups almost every show. Some of his other career highlights include hosting Andrew Lloyd Webber's talent shows on BBC One including the search for Maria, Joseph, Nancy and Dorothy for Webber's west end productions. He iconekly hosted an end of year quiz-off at some point (I can't remember when) between Pauline from EastEnders and Nikki Grahame *.* And of course he replaced Terry Wogan to become Mr Eurovision in 2009.

Ant & Dec are just the worst. Not funny at all, even remotely. I'm not a huge fan of Emma Willis either, she was great for her first series of BB imo but she's really gone downhill recently sad.gif

Posted by: April 25th June 2015, 08:12 PM

03. Sir David Attenborough
(66 points)

The biggest surprise for me of this contest is the amount of support for the legend that is Sir David Attenborough. He is known mostly as Mr Wildlife, voicing some amazing documentaries in his time. In the past year, he has made Life Story, which was very well received on BBC One and Conquest of the Skies which aired on Sky and in 3D. At the age of 89, he shows no signs of slowing down and promises to continue being a staple of British TV for a little while longer. He is also the highest placing male presenter in the countdown.

JAMEELA ACTUAL JAMIL! ohmy.gif jameela.jpg AND don't they have a soggy bottom MEL & SUE!

Posted by: April 25th June 2015, 08:34 PM

02. Jameela 'ACTUAL' Jamil
(67 points)

Her Buzzjack fanbase managed to get her all the way to #2, but fell at the last hurdle by ONE point! Jameela Jamil is better known as a radio DJ, however, she has been a TV presenter too! She fronted E4 for a few years, including music show Koko Pop. Jameela also hosted the second series of Playing It Straight - replacing series one hosted June Sarpong (where is she?). I'm glad she didn't win, because she's a better radio host than TV presenter.

Highest score: 12 points from JosephStyles, harryflynn

01. Mel & Sue
(68 points)

Everyone's favourite innuendo filled due, Mel & Sue, managed to snatch Jameela's weave to become Buzzjack's Ultimate TV presenter. They are effectively a more risque, posh and female version of Ant & Dec. Of course they are known best for being the dynamic duo who present The Great British Bake Off, which is hugely popular here on Buzzjack. Therefore, I'm not surprised to see them win and they are great winners too!

Highest score: 12 points from Ultraviolence, THEO.

Fab winners, cannot wait for the Bake Off to return soon *.*

Posted by: Chez Wombat 25th June 2015, 09:01 PM

David Attenborough slaying *.* Did not expect him to finish that high even if it was really close between the last few. What a legend, legit one of my favourite people in the world still alive let alone best TV presenter.

Great winners too, probably would've been my picks going by current presenting faves. Can't help but wonder how many people voted for Jameela on the basis of her TV presenting skills thinking.gif

Posted by: FROOT. 25th June 2015, 09:15 PM

Davina is such a fun presenter but sometimes it can be a bit too much, she is the Queen of BB though. Emma's career trajectory has been very strange, going from years and years of present spin-off shows to now being a main show regular presenter.

Ant & Dec will always be amongst my favourites and they truly are one of the main reasons I still watch 'I'm a Celeb', no matter how ridiculous the jokes are.

I too am surprised that Sir David is so high, deserved even if I'm not a fan of nature programmes. Yey at Jameela not winning, she's good, but as with Konnie, not that good.

Posted by: Noahspike 27th June 2015, 05:30 PM

I've always been a fan of Davina and never quite understood the level of criticism she'd receive, particularly during her time hosting Big Brother. The fact that she's so excitable and scatty is part of her appeal for me and suited the nature of that show, though I seem to be fond of these 'qualities' in other TV hosts (see: Konnie and Jameela) and I guess it's fair that people would rather presenters have a bit more professionalism! I think Emma Willis is spot on in that respect as she's a more organised and competent presenter without compromising the fun, passionate elements Davina brought, as she's clearly also a big fan of the show.

Ant & Dec are the definition of likeable - always a pleasure to see them host anything. It's pretty amazing that they've retained their charm after being prominent for so long and haven't become in any way tedious (for me anyway).

Graham's by far my favourite TV host so it's great to see him finish high here. There are very few presenters who could handle the format of his show - dealing with guests from various fields who often have completely different backgrounds and personalities, and managing to make the conversation incredibly natural, funny and entertaining. He definitely gets the most out of celebrities of any other chat show host and it always seems that his guests genuinely love being on the couch.

Jameela seems like a lovely person but her sarcastic sense of humour can be hit-and-miss and can come across a bit rude when she's interviewing people (for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfdnQxoZ8ds) so I'm glad she didn't win (and also I barely even associate her with TV anymore).

I don't watch The Great British Bake Off (unsure.gif) but I've seen Mel & Sue on a few things and they seem like a laugh so well done them. cheer.gif

Interesting results all in all - cheers for doing this, April!
