It is the most one-sided first day of a Crucible final since Higgins led Selby 12-4 in 2007.

And a pretty extraordinary end to the session as well. Can they change the rules to make this best of 101?

Another ton, another maximum attempt. Ends at 104 so is still the 100th century break of this year's record-breaking tournament.
Judd Trump will require just two frames this evening to become world champion - 16-9. 11 centuries in this final and they could be more. |

Brilliant stuff from Judd Trump. He is a worthy world champion. He played exceptionally well in that final. I do wonder how a third final defeat in the final could affect John. Arguably it has been a great tournament.

Judd Trump's maiden world title triumph could herald a new "era of dominance from one player", says seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry. Yes this is probably the first time on here as well that I have said something good about someone named Trump.

Someone who saw an eight-year-old Judd Trump play bet ten pounds that he would be World Champion before he was thirty. Yesterday, he won ten grand.

It's finally happened for him just before 2020 for him. Well done to him.
