The video has arrived:
Great song. I really should give 'Natives' another listen coz I've only listened to it like 3 times, in full. I really love this new era for them though. It's different for them. |

Native is the album of the year. BURSTING with anthems. Feel Again and I Lived give me major life.

I believe they performed it on 'The Voice' with Michelle, which is why it's shot up. Really hope this is a big hit for them and gets them some UK airtime again! (Highly doubt it though!)

I don't think it'll do anything over here unless they come and promote it When I mention OneRepublic to people the general response is 'Oh I didn't know they were still going!". Disaster.

Very good, much better than Feel again Imo. Shame they might never be successful in the UK again

Such an under rated band. Love this song. Love most things Ryan Tedder does tbf. He is a creative genius, he just knows hits, it's such a shame the success has never really carried over to his own band.
Plus it helps he is VERY easy on the eye. |

So this is becoming a bit of a sleeper hit! Thanks to the 59p price tag on iTunes. Currently top 20 on UK iTunes and considering they have little, to NO airplay it's a pretty great achievement! Let's hope it gets the album selling!

I'm so ridiculously happy for them! They're touring over here again in March, so naturally I'll be going to see them. I'd quite like them to give If I Lose Myself a proper release over here, as I reckon it could do really well off the back of Counting Stars. Apparently though, the next single is going to be Something I Need:
Don't mind it but there are definitely better songs on the album. |

Oh man! 'If I Lose Myself' (now they have radio back on board), 'Feel Again' (sounds anthemic and euphoric - the club mixes would be great!) and even 'Burning Bridges' would be more suitable for release. I'd say 'Something I Need' is in my bottom 3 from the album. It's not bad (I can imagine it soundbedding a couple of adverts), but there is definitely far better choices on there.

Yeah I agree. Ages ago on their Twitter they said that Counting Stars was the 1st single in the UK - maybe they will have another try with If I Lose Myself.
I'm really liking I Lived at the moment too, can imagine that one on the radio. |

I'm very surprised its reached no2. Its not as good as some of their bigger hits but still a good song.

"Something I Need" is pretty anthemic. Definitely a far better single than "Burning Bridges" (!!) Jonjo (genuinely can't even remember how that one goes). But personally I would go with "Feel Again" or "I Lived".

I've just done a blog post inspired by this song (see my sig for the link) but am I the only one that can imagine Delta singing this song, in particular the 'take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons are learned' bit? It really reminds me of something she's done before, or might do. Or maybe it's just the Tedder link in my mind to her considering he wrote Heart Hypnotic.
