Hi all
Based on a number of comments and feedback we've received recently and over time, we've been having a look at whether we can shake up the genre forums and music discussion on BuzzJack and if there's a better way of doing things than the genre system we currently have. Comments we've had include an unclear position on where country music should go (or whether it even fits anywhere), and how to tackle artists who move from one genre to the next, or even blend genres, when their threads are typically kept in one place (a recent example is Ella Henderson's Alibi thread). We were having a think about different solutions we've come up with a few potential options at how we could (and I stress, nothing is guaranteed to change yet) shake things up. However, we'd like some feedback first, as to whether tweaking the system is something that could actually benefit the forum and type of discussion that happens. How can we lose some of the subjectivity of the genre forums, expand our horizons, while still allowing everyone to track and follow the genres they're interested in? And, more importantly, is this something you guys would actually want? We're asking everyone who reads this to fill out the survey linked below. It should only take a few minutes of your time, and it would be super helpful to direct us on where to focus our attention and what can be made better. CLICK HERE FOR THE SURVEY Deadline: 12th March 2024 at 23:59 UK time Please feel free to post any questions in here and one of us will do our best to get back to you! BuzzJack mgmt x |

Bumping this to the top of the page.
It's only feedback, so no change is guaranteed. We just want honest opinions please! Thank you <3 |

I like the current structure with forums for 4 main genres.
Maybe we can have separated threads (one for each less popular genre) like country, schlager, classic/opera crossover, but not sure if there are enough forum members, who have any interest in it. This post has been edited by Last Dreamer: 29th February 2024, 07:45 AM |

Scrap the artist forums and combine all genre forums into one. It would breathe some much needed life into this place and generate a lot more music discussion.

I actually said as much on the survey too, I know I don’t post loads but I definitely think the way everything is spread out makes it seem more dead than it is. Everything in the same place would probably drive people to threads they normally wouldn’t go to, also. |

Everything in the same place would probably drive people to threads they normally wouldn’t go to, also. That’s exactly what I think. I never visit the artists forum despite being interested in half of them. It just seems so arduous to visit 10 forums vs 1. |
