Received votes from everyone except Sam in the end who will thus sadly be subject to the 33% deduction </3
Will be presenting the votes in order of receipt, apart from my own votes which I am leaving to the end for dramatic effect (maybe). All ties will be broken in the scoreboards throughout (breaking ties as in BJSC, by number of votes first then number of 12s, 10s etc.) and each post will have a lil bit of commentary about the songs / each participant's history in this contest / the effect of each vote on the current scoreboard. Because I have to be a little extra. x I'll post one vote every 5 minutes so this will be done a little after 10pm (even if no one posts in the thread but let's hope that doesn't happen xx) |

Next up we have James, recently returning to the site after some time away, and back in the contest with American pop duo Loote's 'Out Of My Head', the contest opener. I believe he was originally going to send this (or maybe a different Loote song) to BJSC 100 before pulling out of that contest - now it gets its moment! James has got off to a great start being in the top 5 after one vote. This is his first appearance in PFSC (the first of six debutants - welcome  ) but he's won both BJSC and Nuggets, could he add another song contest win to his belt? ;oQUOTE Okay so I'm listening to every song once and writing what I think while listening to the song. So There might be some first opinions on here that I don't think are true once the song progresses. I'll keep everything I write while listening for the sake of seeing how my opinions change while listening. The Top 10 12 • Stellar Dreams - Parallel This kicks things off into high gear. Wow. Her voice is simply sublime. Where do you find amazing songs like these Jesus! I'm suddenly very worried about my own entry this contest but I hope someone gets some enjoyment out of it. 10 • Perez - Gamine I was gonna say wow this started off great. Oh wait it gets better. Oh wow. This sounds like a contender for the winner imo. The production is fantastic. Spot on. He has a gorgeous voice. 08 • Computer Magic - Perfect Game Wow. Wow. Wow. Love love love. I love the production of this song. I love the synths. I love everything about this. 07 • Sophie Elise - Lionheart The video has just started playing and I recognise the artist from somewhere. Ooo this is nice. If I had to guess who entered this it would be Joseph or Sam. The song is nice. The build up was nice too and the chorus is okay. Very poppy! 06 • Kid Moxie - Still High This could be Ethans entry if he's taking part in this contest but I don't think he is. This is f***ing Gorgeous! Putting this song in my top ten for sure although including this makes it a top twelve and therefor I have to cut two songs somewhere. 05 • TĀLĀ - Stay Here In The Sun (feat. Naughty Boy) I quite like TĀLĀ and this song is fantastic. A great example of a song that isn't current but could quite easily be a timeless song. Especially for the Summer. Congrats to whoever sent this cause it's something else! 04 • Emma Blackery - Agenda Another current sounding track but this one has it all. Ooo this kinda reminds me of a more upbeat version of my entry into this competition lol. I approve. Oh my god it literally sounds the same as my entry except more upbeat. I love it. 03 • Prides - Messiah I'm pretty sure I listened to this the other day actually. It's a solid pop/ rock(?) song? I'm also pretty sure this was sent by Lindsey and I approve of such a fantastic entry. 02 • Little Boots - Eros (feat. Planningtorock) Wow. I did not expect to see Little Boots I'm here. I absolutely used to adore Little Boots when I was younger though I'd been less than impressed with their output for the last few years. This is a major step up in quality and it is utterly fantastic. 01 • Austra - Beat And The Pulse Why the clean version? This song Seem like something Bré would send. It's quite a catchy and very fast song. Oh it's not as monotonous as it seems to begin with either. That's a bonus. Songs that sadly didn't make the cut The almost but no Cigars Erasure - Just A Little Love ooo Erasure. Who doesn't love a Lil bit of Erasure. Very poppy for them though it's still fantastic so far. The main singer here sounds a little bit like Gary Barlow. In fact the whole thing sounds similar to something Take That might turn up with and I love it. 9/10 songs Kristin Kontrol - X-Communicate If I was to guess a poster that had sent this I would say it was Mattias and I appreciate this entry. It's really smooth! Olivera - Golden Plate It seems like a lot of the better songs seem to be sitting in the middle of the list here. Oh wait. The chorus isn't too amazing though. The verses are where it's at in this particular song. Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Electricity oo oo oo. This was so catchy with the Xylophone assuming that's what it is that's playing the majority through the background of the song. Not only that but the video is Fresh! Owl Eyes - Closure This has a little 80's influence to it which I like but then again it doesn't really use that influence any other way than to make a plodding track that just goes nowhere. HAERTS - Your Love Oh this also sounds like something Lindsey couldn't have sent. I've heard of HAERTS before but I don't think I'm familiar with their music. Are they Scottish? The song is just a little too soft sounding for me though and the vocals sound slightly off? Oh though that chorus is fab! This isn't bad at all actually. Suvi - Clovers Hmm. Not sure what to think immediately. Not quite the direction I expected this song to go in but nonetheless I'm a fan. Just not enough to put this in my top ten. The violins are nice though. 8/10 songs Say Lou Lou - Everything We Touch This is a song I am very familiar with. It's neither here nor there sadly but it's okay for what it is. Swedum - L.O.V.E Possibly a Lewis/mdh or Dan entry? I'm not quite sure but it could belong to any of those three posters. It's very catchy. I'm generally not a fan of this style of pop music but it's fun. Reyko - Spinning Over You Lotti's track? Hmm. Quite catchy. Chord progression isn't what I expected at all though and kinds detracts from my enjoyment of the song. The build up to the chorus is nice but the chorus it's self is kind of a non event. 😒 Danny L Harle - Blue Angel (feat. Clairo) Another name I wasn't expecting to see here. It has lovely production bit sadly the song is quite lacklustre compared to previous output. The best participation award songs  The Asteroids Galaxy Tour - Rock The Ride I am so sorry to whomever sent this but it is by far (at least in my opinion) the worst song in the contest so far. Okay I jumped the gun a bit. It's actually got a wee bit of a catch to it. Very 90's. SVEA - Don't Mind Me This sounds "very current" imo but I'm not really a fan at all to be honest. Sally Dige - Holding On I had Hugh hoped going into this but the lyrics are so so. The melody is so so. I like the production on the song bit aside from that it's not enough. Francesca Michielin - Tropicale This is another song that sounds very current but unfortunately like the previous one, it does nothing for me what so ever. Martin Mayer - Into You (Nayio Bitz Remix) sorry to whomever sent this but I just wasn't a fan until the song properly kicked in later but even then it wasn't anything too amazing. bülow - SAD AND BORED (feat. DUCKWRTH) Hmm seems very current again but again as before this isn't really a song that interests me in any way whatsoever. It's not a bad song per sé but it just seems to be there, existing. Kim Lip - Eclipse I think I know what kinda song this will be before the music starts. Let's see... Nope not quite what I expected. Not my cup of Tea at all though I'm afraid. Aww isn't that nice, everyone gets a comment! (There aren't many other votes with this much commentary so enjoy it while it's here). Most of the people James predicted to have sent these songs are people who didn't actually enter the contest though. Anyways, it's a second 12 in a row for Stellar Dreams, a dream opening for them  (yes, I've made that pun on both of the words in their name now). Kid Moxie jumps to 2nd place, while Perez now shares the bronze with The Asteroids Galaxy Tour and it's joint 5th for Computer Magic and SVEA, with Sophie Elise also entering the top 10.
