it was 50 this time last week so down 21 places week on week.



Tove Lo album only 40th so she may well miss a top 40 spot. Does she have physicals?

I think the boxset is the re release as with golden doing so well in it's own right I cant see the DVD been just tacked onto the greatest hits. If it was a greatest hits tour DVD added I could have seen that happening.

Her vinyl sales still amaze me at this stage Streaming seems to be consistently around the 450-500 mark each week too.

Shame it’s going to likely leave the Top 100 this week, I’m still certain that it will be a long term seller though.

Why not re release Golden album with the golden dvd, this way gain more sales for Golden instead of the greatest hits as it has nothing to do with the golden tour, better to make it a stand alone release in any case and waste the sales count on it...

A good side effect of SBIT is that it’s improving streaming points to her album catalogue....though we know the majority will be assigned to either or both the 1992 GH and TARS. Perhaps X and LY the most benefitting studio albums.

Streaming is holding up really nicely! Takes about 800 copies to make the Top 200 so hopefully Step Back in Time can rack up some further weeks in the chart if it's streaming stays at around 500 and sales stay above 300.

I'm hoping we'll hear some news about further promo in the coming weeks, as well as confirmation about the rumoured re-release (which I'm confident will happen, given BMG's reputation for re-releasing and re-promoting towards the Christmas period).

Let's be honest Golden tour was Greatest Hits plus a few Golden tracks. It could fit in nicely with either


Remember she has a big BBC production coming up and they already said they are promoting the greater hits until end of year so. .......

She will also get better promo slots with a greatest hits rather than Golden rehash. Let's see

She has great scope with promotion for SBIT as with such a huge track listing there is a tone of different medleys she could do as it wouldn't have to be the same as the strictly medley for example.

Happy for a re release as it should give a sales boost but disappointed with what it is, bloody remixes by most that I dont care for, I was gona cancel making the cut when crystalize is far better and has never made an album before is disappointing. Surprised it's no secret was picked over the far more popular turn it into love. I prob wont buy this for a while until price is reduced. The one has 2 remixes on the CD plus the original made the first cut when something like finer feeling or musics too sad without you dont get a look in the door,I dont understand.

I Was Gonna Cancel over Giving You Up and Finer Feelings? I too would have picked Turn It Into Love over It's No Secret. Kylie doesn't know her fan favourites.

On a positive note, nice to see Into the Blue there leading the way. Intrigued by the Freemasons mega mix - nice that we get their version of The One in some capacity.

The more tv slots/performances will result to a better outcome.
That said, with 2 new editions released reasonable close to each other it may cause confusion outside the fanbase.
The news of disc 3 will also likely kill off sales of the existing release as people will wait and but the 3 cd version instead.

I'm quite shocked that I Was Gonna Cancel (#59) has been included, while Giving You Up (#6), Finer Feelings (#11) & Where Is the Feeling? (#16) continue to be snubbed. I would have even preferred Better than Today (#32) to be included over I Was Gonna Cancel, at least it was a Top 40!

Also interesting that they've put It's No Secret on there. I wouldn't have predicted that would make it.

It will end up being a mixed set of tracks - the instrumental of The One will have the a cappella of Slow over it before The One comes in if that makes sense. It's a common trick in mixtapes.

I'd rather they would have stuck to one idea or another, ie a third disc of material or a third disc of a continual mix.

Giving You Up is great and i really dont see why it is getting the cold shoulder once again on the release.

They clearly do not want all the singles on the album to leave an open opportunity for a future release of the complete singles collection.
By the time such a release occurs the format will be very opselete.

Giving You Up is the most stand out omission now.

I think if 'Finer Feelings' and 'Giving You Up' appeared in place of 'I Was Gonna Cancel' and 'It's No Secret', it would be a much more appropriate third disc. From both a fan and commercial point of view, I'm not sure what warranted the latter two a place over the former.

Ah well, I'm happy with how the original collection sounds anyway, plus I'm interested in hear this Freemasons mix. I'm excited for the Q4 promotional schedule that we've been teased too!

I'm intrigued by this rumoured BBC show, although I feel like there could be some confusion there and it merely refers to the Golden Tour getting broadcast on the BBC?

Interestingly, that's the smallest WoW decrease seen in a while and it was the 156th best seller of the day....



Re the 3CD, good move but it makes the standard 2CD totally pointless. It would have been better if they’d just released a standard 2CD at the time and then a deluxe 3CD later for the Christmas boost. Everything else could have remained the same. Still it’s done well but it’s not as if it sold by the bucketload. I’m guessing the standard 2CD will be deleted.

I said it previously, but it'll likely settle somewhere around being a consistent top 200 if they bother keeping it in print. It should hopefully end up consistently be selling somewhere around 500-1000 copies a week when all is said and done.

I feel like it probably will fall out the chart before the re-release given we're still a month away from release and about 30 sales separated Kylie's position and #200. At least the streaming is continuing to hold up so it should still sell another 700/800 a week.

Agreed with you Jay regarding NYC on CD1 and Breathe on CD2! I too held off buying the original album so I'll purchase the 3-CD version. Particularly interested in the Freemasons megamix!

I would have bought the 3 CD if the tracklisting had been better on CD3. It looks lazy to me, a few new songs then the rest remixes. Might as well as just made it entirely a remix CD or a live CD or the singles that didn't make it. She has more than enough to fill a third CD.

Yes it's only on pre order under radar at the moment. She usually has a longer pre order window but they know it is Xams and people will go out and buy in the shops.

Her core fan base should be able to buy 5,000 at least week one and probably she can shift 10,000 for the week with promo etc

The Q4 promotion usually equates to a higher sales increase.

I don’t think it will sell more than 50k. It might only sell a similar amount to the reissue of Kylie Christmas which was about 30k. I’d expect it to sell just over 100k in total with the current sales. I think the reissue will only be bought by hardcore fans and get somewhat lost in the Christmas market.

Many of the hardcore fans will purchase the new edition on release day/week.
The promotion Kylie has lined up will encourage casual sales for which many wont even know the cd 3 repackage is new.
They will view the track listing and pick it up and it is likely cd 3 would not influence the buyer.
Price would be what will help them decide which version to purchase.

The only part that's out of sequence is 'Step Back in Time' into 'Spinning Around', however the 'Step Back in Time' hook could be repeated throughout the megamix or they may have just added it to introduce the snippet. I don't see why they'd say "here’s a little taste of the F9 MEGAMIX" if it wasn't exactly that.

plus she doesnt want sales of the old album now so she has to wait until week of 22nd really for promo..... which she has already got.

I don’t see any reason why the 3CD is the one left in print....the current slew of Gold releases are often 3CD.

Physical sales are declining at such a rate it probably won’t be produced again and any remaining stocks reduced in price over time. Hopefully it will still be licensed on streaming and digital for many years.

There are at least 7 new releases next week that should beat her in chart position so let's see. Depends on how well promo goes. G Norton is always good for her and it's Friday promo ahead of weekend Xmas shoppers.

Yes. putting a 40 song 25 min megamix on an album gets no streaming points.

listing them all individually however odd it looks means streams as people play the megamix at parties etc. if streaming wasnt a thing then it would be more of the megamix you would expect

Hence the songs are going to be longer and not mixed too much

makes sense to be honest

The One Freemasons edit was always going to be our fav

i will be streaming from midnight tonight.

As annoying as it is, it’s good business sense to offer an expanded option in Q4. We were all hoping for it with Golden but it didn’t happen.

Basically for just a tenner we are getting another CD with some past hits and something ‘new’ which is the mega mix...it’s not a rip off.

I listened to the previews on iTunes and 'Slow'/'The One' is the only track that had any remixing element. You can't hear the transitions from the previews but I imagine they're similar to the ones we heard on the two clips Kylie uploaded to social media.

I held off purchasing the 2CD too but I think I'll be buying that one. The only songs I were particularly bothered about on Disc 3 were 'Into the Blue' and 'Chocolate' so I don't really feel inclined to have the 3CD version given the megamix isn't worthwhile.

Remember the Golden Tour being shown and all the promo she does will also not just get sales for the Golden Live but also for the Greatest Hits which would be nice

As i said before. They want the album streamed and putting a 45 minute megamix of 20 second clips is going to get no streaming sales. If it was pre-streaming she would have done something differently.

I never bought the 2 CD version, I only got the green vinyl. I finally ordered the 3 CD version today! I feel like, if I'm going to own any version of the CD then it may as well be the one that offers the most content!

She's pretty much on a level with artists just below her. Beck is currently no20 with 2,333 sales (292 yesterday), Billie Eilish is no22 on 'only' 1898 sales but sold 825 yesterday. It's all to play for but top 20 is looking good thus far as long as her sales generally hold up.

Has a small chance of beating the 3rd best week of sales when she was at number 4, but anything close to 6000 will be decent, all things considered. Strange though, once the 3CD was announced the sales of the 2CD collapsed...total sales would probably have been around the same if they'd just stuck with the 2CD haha as it was selling over 1000 copies per week....then again, speculate to accumulate. This one has more chance of selling bigger volumes the next month, hopefully it will be prominent in supermarkets and HMV.

Sold 682 yesterday, taking it up to 5,896.

It was on 73.8k as of its last week in the Top 200, the w/e 24th October. Its streams remained steady throughout its chart run so it was probably still pulling in 400 units from streaming in the 5 weeks outside of the Top 200. I agree with pippa that it will probably be on roughly 85k by the end of this week.

I'm disappointed that BMG didn't include the cassette versions in their Black Friday sales. Surely this would have been the perfect time to shift stock that's been hanging around for months! Taking advantage of people looking for a bargain, and add sales while the album is actually back in the charts. Meh!

I wonder how low the album will drop next week? I hope there'll be some indication that the album is actually attracting casual sales.

I noticed on Twitter that Kylie has highlighted 'Into the Blue' as one of the tracks she wanted to be included on Step Back in Time:

It's a glorious song and you could tell she enjoyed singing it at the time. Doesn't deserve to be forgotten about so I hope it can make its way onto future tours.

I think she will drop out of top 40. Probably around 50-55 range? Getting no downloads and streaming poor too. Its all about how many people are buying in shops. Loads of new releases again this week.

Sending a tweet out about various tracks she likes is not going to cut it I am afraid. She needs to sell to the casual listener.

The 'heavyweight' TV and radio promo stated by BMG looks like it was a lie........

She is probably already in Dubai rehearsing for her concert at the Rugby 7s on Friday 6th.

Will she rush back and do some promo in UK like The One Show?

She will probably get a mention on Lorraine on Friday

I thought she may have released Lost Without You to radio for a week or two but I guess that will not sell Her Greatest Hits so she needs to sell both with something that is on both albums.

Half of me thinks she is going to aim for getting the Greatest Hits in the charts during January when sales are low.

When is the Channel 4 show? Again if on Xmas day she will get overshadowed by Gavin and Stacy and Soaps etc. Let's see.... At least Alan Carr is on that with her and he will grabsome viewers

It’s a shame sales in general haven’t really increased from last week...I mean, fortnight before Christmas and around 4000 is all that’s required for top 40. Top albums struggling.

At least SBIT is only declining slightly, especially as last week included the extra 400 or so sales on Wednesday from the HMV offer.

It needs to stay visible in HMV etc so it can go Gold very soon. Fingers crossed. Golden Live is a nice surprise, £9.99 for a double CD/DVD is a bargain. Hopefully both will have a bit more life the after Christmas with the high profile promo Christmas Day. We might be in for some nice chart rises then.

Step Back in Time has closed the week at Number 42.
This is still good, many of thought it would be lower than this last week.

The Number 39 album sold 4,620, therefore Kylie may have cleared 4,200 at an estimate at Number 42.

This werk is 6th best week for sales which isnt bad, just shy of 7500 of gold now, hopefully it will do by end of the year.

It will manage that just fine - it's the week of the Christmas #1 this week but the following week should still see healthy sales as that chart will account for sales from 20th to 26th (i.e. 5 pre-Christmas days where people may be buying CDs as last minute presents).

Ya top 60 should be the worst outcome. I cant see golden live getting a 2nd week on the chart either.

Took 1k to reach the Top 200 last week and Golden Live was only selling 100 copies by Thursday so I'd be surprised if it remained for a second week.
