Mr Murs dropped a hint on Twits the other day that a new single is imminent: https://twitter.com/ollyofficial/status/626770308205252608
Not sure if it'll be a brand new song or another 'Never Been Better' album cut. Having said that during his interview with Nova in Australia (he's back over there for that leg of his tour this week) they played 'Never Been Better' the other day so it may very well be that... "Never Been Better" was delivered to Australian radios two weeks ago as far as I remember, so it may should the next single. However, it could be a new one though.

Confirmed in a Twitter Q&A this morning that the next single will, in fact, be an entirely brand new song: https://twitter.com/ollyofficial/status/630638491894874112
Pleased and also a bit sad they're not going with another album cut, especially when 'Did You Miss Me' had single potential. Then again when the last two didn't do that well and have much promotion it's understandable. I can only assume, given they filmed the DVD of the tour in May at the O2 that it'll be one of several new songs on a repack of the album for Christmas just like they did with 'Right Place Right Time'. Elsewhere, the cover for his new book 'On The Road' which is out in October was revealed late last week: So ready for the signings |

I already knew he was going to reissue the album when the year started. It was that obvious.
Of course new single and repackaged collection to take advantage of his X Factor presenting gig... |

I look forward to hearing the new single. The repackage of the album should be near complete,i would think a November release for the album will be likely.

It'll feel odd to see a host performing rather than the judges Well, ofc Rita will just perform too but still.
It's always good to have a new single, but DYMM is such a missed opportunity It should have been 3rd single, if not second or even lead. |

So this was quite amazing - he headlined the MTV stage at V Festival in Chelmsford yesterday (he's doing the same in Stafford today) and was joined by DJ Luck and MC Neat to do a mashup performance of 'A Little Bit of Luck' with 'Heart Skips a Beat'! I can't find a video yet but I've seen a preview on Instagram and it went OFF

A bit more news about the single in Daily Star Wired column today: it's a collaboration with a mystery 'major US male solo artist'. I'm struggling to think who would fit that bill, but very exciting news nonetheless!

Nick Jonas? Chris Brown?
Or does it mean another rapper? |

See I'm almost thinking another rapper. Would be nice if it was another male singer mind, change it up a bit.

So Olly's off on a big signings tour for his new book 'On the Road' in October, including some 'in conversation' events, one of which is being hosted by Scott Mills at the IndigO2 on 11th October. Details of all of which are on his website - most of the signings are sold out now mind (I got my ticket for the Milton Keynes one. YAY ): http://booktour.ollymurs.com
Also forthcoming, just until we get more news on this new single, his new calendar: |

Olly Murs and Nick Jonas would be *.* but I'm not sure I can see that happening.
I spy a shirtless shot on the back cover of the calendar! ;o Not a very flattering front cover though. |

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81yupBPs9IL.jpg I just realised I'm in Birmingham on the same day that he's signing there! Tickets for the event already sold out though. Probably would have gone if I'd known, oh well. |

Yep, personal trainer's been working out well for him!
I've got tickets for the O2 in conversation with Scott Mills as well now. Got a pretty good seat for it as well so will be looking forward to that! |

Call me Fiona Bruce, for I am ready to impart news: the video was shot yesterday in London. Fulwell73, who directed the video for 'Beautiful to Me' worked with him on it again. Once again he's said nothing about it on Twitter other than it is coming 'soon'. Which helps us all, of course. (I'm not impatient at all me.)

Is it common practice for 'artists' to charge fans for book signings?
