[...]the Spice Girls reunion stadium tour of 2019, which was a huge success, even though Victoria did not participate.

‘They were the most incredible shows we ever did,’ says Melanie, revealing that more dates are planned for next year. Will Posh be climbing aboard her platforms and onto the stage, too?

‘It would be nice if Victoria joined us, but we don’t know. We’re in various discussions about various things. She’s still very much part of the band and we want her to be happy. Of course, we missed her on that tour.

‘We missed her dearly. And Victoria joining us in future shows is the dream. I don’t want to put any pressure or expectations on her, but that would be our wish.’

It may be a bit early to open a thread about this, but anyway, if there's any further speculation or news then we can post about it here rather than in General Discussion!

What are your hopes for their next tour?

I really want there to be focus on dates outside of the UK. Obviously as a fan living in the UK I would like dates here too, but it's about time they gave priority to other countries.

Victoria's involvement? I just can't imagine it, as much as it would be wonderful to see them all together again. If she couldn't commit to / have a desire to do UK only dates in 2019, there's surely no way she'd be up for touring the world.

My number one wish would be for there to be a new album before a tour, but clearly it's a pipedream and we'd get the same old choices.

I really hope they do start with Australia, then move to Asia, Africa, South America before they start going to North America, Europe and the UK again.

I hope they mix up their set list (since Step to Me is being promoted I expect it to be added)or with perhaps a track from Forever.

They should definitely do Asia, Australia, South America as well as USA and UK. They don't need to do too many shows either if they do Stadiums as they will get more cash with less effort or travelling.

I hope the show is new and improved, without the whole RULE BRITANNIA colours and design across the whole thing. It wont go down very well outside of the UK. Leave the union jack at home, please for once!

I hope they do at least one more Forever song and Step To Me. The fact they are teasing STM and will be releasing it or at least give it some focus in the Spiceworld campaign bodes well for it being on the set list, in my opinion.

Songs they dont need in the set list:

1. Mama
2. We Are Family
3. Lady is a Vamp

Songs they should add instead:

1. If You Wanna Have Some Fun
2. Move Over
3. Step To Me

And then great, that would be it. A fitting finale to their touring life (lets be honest, Gerita wont be touring after this lol)

Saturday Night Divas to make a return. wub.gif

I'd like Naked too but I get the feeling they won't do that one ever again.

Oh yes forgot about those two as well!! Certainly SND would be great to replace Something Kinda Funny or at least be in a medley of the two!

Naked would be amazing but no, gerita is too conservative for it to ever be on the set list again

I have the feeling Geri is done with touring - or maybe this is going to be the final chapter for the girls.

Yeah I dont think they will continue touring after this as a group, sadly... Emma and the Mels would, but maybe not Gerita... I am happy to be surprised though

My wishlist for a new tour:

Add Step To Me, SND and WOMAN (with updated verse lyrics)

If they do a cover, a group version of It's Raining Men might be fun.

If they tour again we know all the hits will be in there but they can freshen up their choices of covers, I'd like to see them cover one or two other girl band songs ideally girls aloud or bananarama or little mix.

Actually they really need a new MD. The lack of a proper live sound and instrumentalisation was the worst thing about the 2019 tour, it sounded like a CD playing at all times, which was crap!

Either get Simon Ellis back or get someone who’s done stadiums before this time, Mel C!

Somebody who posts on Spice Circle (who if I remember rightly has a job role within Universal), hinted that there will be "an international Spice Girls tour with the 4" (in 2023; he doesn't say that implicitly, the rest of his post implies it would be 2023).

For a festival appearance Victoria would have to rehearse for weeks anyway, so why not join for a full tour?

Oh... Now I remember. Back in 2016 GEM wanted to book Hyde Park, but obviously it fell through.
