I have bolded the two most interesting ones...looks like Ola and Andreas Johnson will be back next year, hopefully the latter's will be as good as Sing For Me and A Little Bit Of Love :cheer: some hilarious titles in there too...Road Salt?

there are of course the 4 wildcards and the new web wildcard still to be announced though :D

Expecting "Manboy" to be camp-tastic, especially seeing that Fredrik Kempe is behind it! And also looking forward to hearing "Tonight" which is from the writing team behind Release Me.

I hope Andreas Johnson will actually be performing as opposed to merely writing the song...I'd thought maybe the whole Carola experience had soured the event slightly for him.

agreed on both counts, I wonder who will be singing Manboy :o I'm hoping Agnes will be singing Tonight but who knows after the relative flop of Love Love Love in the final...

I guess One Love got a lot of Carola backlash, Andreas on his own will surely be more popular?

"Tonight" is from the writing team behind "Release Me"? Well, even though I've not listened to any of the songs yet, that HAS to go to Oslo! :o

Hope BWO are taking part this year. They deserve a chance to perform at ESC ;)

BWO had their best chance in 2006 and 2008 I think...they're not as popular now :(

Yes, their 2008 song was good. Didn't like them as much this year :(

Less popular now? Surely that doesn't matter, as long as the song is good. Or are you telling me MF is a popularity contest? :P (It might me, only I don't know about it because I don't keep track of which singers are popular and which are not in Sweden).

I think it's still primarily a song contest...if it were not then E.M.D. would have thrashed Malena and Caroline in the 2009 final...

being a big name star always helps win votes though

You're Not Alone was incredibly weak in comparison to Lay Your Love On Me and Temple Of Love though, what I meant is that maybe Sweden have had BWOverload and are sick of seeing them now :heehee:

I hope Agnes is doing a song this year.

Do the Swedish know that "Release Me" got to #3 in the UK? I'm hoping they think "Oh, she's really popular in the UK. Send her to Oslo and they might give us 12pts".

And "Lay Your Love On Me" is a great song, but my favourite BWO song will always be "Sunshine In The Rain" :)

Sunshine In The Rain is great  my favourite is still Temple Of Love though I think...

both the juries and the public didn't seem to like Love Love Love much, I don't expect to see Agnes again next year...her performance was quite flat too

I don't think BWO is competing this year.

They're on a break (or will be shortly)..

Last year was epic.. I'm hoping Mans, Alcazar and Agnes compete again.. Great to see Ola and Andreas as well.

here's hoping that Torben Hedlund is Lina's relative  or maybe Alcazar will get a wildcard? 'A Place To Stay' could be the daytime sequel to 'Stay The Night'

I'm most looking forward to Andreas actually at the moment, his brand of indie-schlager is second to none

the 2009 final was amazing, 8 brilliant acts plus H.E.A.T. and Molly who both served a purpose (only rock and Swedish pop ballad entries)...Sofia was the odd one out though...I wish somebody more worthy had been given the 11th spot, like Lili & Susie for example

There's no way Agnes will be back this year. Her vocals and general performance have improved greatly in the last 6 months but I'd say she's too busy internationally at the moment to even think about MelFest again this time around.

Also BWO is doubtful, as Alexander Bard doesn't appear next to any of the titles.

I fully anticipate to see Caroline here of course :kink:

she writes her own music so won't be one of these 27 songs...

she could have one of the four wildcards but it's highly unlikely...MF worked wonders for her career anyway this year, she doesn't need it again

Oh yeah, forgot. :(

But i'm always for some new names in MF :cheer:

There are alot of new names I think, or names returning after 3-4 years.

Rumour has it that Alcazar, Nordman and Linda Bentzing were all turned away because Christer wanted to keep the line-up as fresh as possible. Christer has also said that there is only one pure schlager song in the competition this year (Åt helvete för sent), and there is more rock/pop and ballads.

Other more recent news is that "Never Heard Of Him" is disqualified because it had been leaked at some point, "Tonight" (the Anders Hansson and Sharon Vaughn composition) is apparently for Alexander Bard's most recent project whatever it may be (good heavens and we thought we were free of him for a year), and some familiar names have surfaced among the songs (Sibel, Jessica Andersson and Elin Lanto as far as I can recall).

all interesting stuff, glad the schalger is being kept to a minimum...I really don't believe that only 1 of the songs is schlager though, well over half of the 2009 entries could have been referred to as schlager...

be nice to see Sibel back if that turns out to be true :D

Sanna MUST come back though :snif: if only to complete the Rontvian trio :kink:

Yeah that's what I thought too....I see he was careful to use the phrase "pure schlager," by which he probably means also in Swedish.
