These are the 6 finalists in Iceland's selection (not many!)

The One - Íris Hólm

Out Of Sight - Matthías Matthíasson

One More Day - Jógvan Hansen

Gleði Og Glens - Hvanndalsbræður

Waterslide - Sigurjón Brink

Je Ne Sais Quoi - Hera Bjork

Not the most inspiring selection ever, The One whilst I like it, is far too predictable and dated a ballad to do well in ESC, Out Of Sight is diabolical and wouldn't get to the final, One More Day is pretty good - not sure if it would do that well at ESC though, Gleði Og Glens is charming and I can't tell how it would do in ESC as it's traditional folk mixed with indie rock Waterslide is awful and would fail to qualify for the final, Je Ne Sais Quoi is great but is the most generic Europop by numbers song I've heard since Hero, hence would probably flop if it even reached the final, or it could do a Kate Ryan but I'm guessing the juries would prevent it from missing the final. I think Hera has this sewn up anyway, it's so much more powerful and she's a much bigger star than the others - but don't expect to see Iceland in the top ten again this year...The final will be on Feb 6th hosted by you know who

I agree, and agree with the 3 that you picked as well[/worldfirst]

I thought you liked Out Of Sight

I indeed did like it but it got so boring and $h!t over time  I think it WAS $h!t from the very beginning though :kink:

it was your 'everything Eurovision must be good' hype sensor telling you that it was good :kink:

it is in fact one of the worst songs I've ever heard (Iceland are good at producing these :w00t:)

True :( This sensor is finally in normal state now  But i still love Hrdza's song in Slovak selection :kink:
Hera just has to win. I will be devastated otherwise, she deserved to be Denmark's entry last year also, so for her to miss out two years in a row with two great songs would be criminal!
Imagine Hera and Sukkerchock BOTH in the ESC!! :o

I honestly can't see anyone coming anywhere close to Hera - I think they will finish like this;

1st Je Ne Sais Quoi - Hera Bjork

2nd One More Day - Jógvan Hansen

3rd Gleði Og Glens - Hvanndalsbræður

4th The One - Íris Hólm

5th Out Of Sight - Matthías Matthíasson

6th Waterslide - Sigurjón Brink

although knowing Iceland they will only mutedly reveal the winner at the end without any other suspense or reveal of 2nd/3rd place etc...

Didn't you watch the first semi when Yohanna was on stage in the break? They showed the fragments of the last year's show, and apparently it's gonna be a countdown again since that time Yohanna and some dude were having a nerve-racking experience together without any artist left. :o

I'm not so sure. Remember Ingó or whatever his name was from last year? He came second with a song similar to Waterslide, which is worrying, although Ingó's tune was much better. Íris may get through based on the fact Iceland did well with a ballad last year. I think it was Jógvan who released an album with Fredrik from Euroband last year, so may be a popular choice and Hvanndalsbræður have been hyped up by numerous people on esctoday. The only one who has no chance really is Matthías, so in true unexpected form, watch him win  :(

The One is much more typical than Is It True, it's like a Poland ESC ballad...I can't see them picking it

Jogvan is the only young artist there so could get the 'young vote' if such a thing exists in Iceland...

but I still think Hera will walk it

Hera Björk - Je ne sais quoi (50.3 %)

Íris Hólm - The one (18.5 %)

Hvanndalsbræður - Gleði og glens (12.3 %)

Jógvan Hansen - One more day (10.8 %)

Sigurjón Brink - Waterslide (5.1 %)

Matthias Matthiasson - Out of sight (3.1 %)

So according to the ESCToday poll, it won't even be close
