Posted February 21, 201015 yr I always look forward to the Slovenian NF and the final is tonight. Female soloists seem to be the front runners once again with Manca Špik, Nuša Derenda, Brigita Šuler and Nina Pušlar all edging ahead of the rest of the field in the online polls. None of the entries scream "winner" unfortunately, but all the above have got decent songs. Saša Lendero (EMA 2005, 2006) and Andrej Babić (Croatia 2003, Bosnia & Herzegovina 2005, Portugal 2008 and Slovenia 2007 & 2009), are amongst the writers of the four current favourites. Manca Špik - Tukaj sem doma (Andrej Babić/Feri Lainšček): -Q7B5LWgy5c Nuša Derenda - Sanjajva (Neisha): frh1N6-4-1A Brigita Šuler - Para me (Miha Hercog/Saša Lendero): JOKp_BoMUfY Nina Pušlar - Dež (Martin Štibernik, Dejan Radičevič): a3118ck93Bw As a rule for this year, the Slovenian entry will be performed in the national language at ESC. Brigita FTW!
February 21, 201015 yr I put them in this order: 1. Nina Pušlar - Dež 2. Nuša Derenda - Sanjajva 3. Brigita Šuler - Para me 4. Manca Špik - Tukaj sem doma Last time I checked, EMA was the money the British government gave to Teenagers who go to college and their parents earn under £30,00
February 21, 201015 yr Author Other than the friendships, EMA was the best thing about sixth form
February 21, 201015 yr Author I should also point out that there are 10 other songs in this final, but to be honest, I will be stunned if any of them win.
February 21, 201015 yr Author The accordion, the accordion player ( ) and the girl are great, but the rest... I'm not sure
February 21, 201015 yr  I paied 1600 NOK for this... :drama: I hope I don't have to see this
February 21, 201015 yr Author I'm so glad I decided against going now. In terms of my taste, the even years tend to have less good quality entries than the odd years. I was hopeful 2010 would buck the trend, what with the jury playing a big part now, but sadly it's not the case so far :( Never mind, the more epic fails around Europe, the better chance the UK and Ireland have :P
February 21, 201015 yr what a mess of an arrangement  not a fan of Balkan dad-rock sadly (I say this every year :heehee:) all of these awful song choices are paving the way nicely for a UK win :kink: or Kom...
February 21, 201015 yr Awful... Like Rich said though, all these poor choices could well be paving the way for a British win!
February 21, 201015 yr not that the UK is not known for sending the crapiest of the crapiest entries ever :kink:
February 21, 201015 yr Hush Boyan. :P I've relatively high hopes for this year's song (for some reason). Whatever it is can't be as $h!t as Daz or Scooch or as bland as James Fox or Andy Abraham!
February 21, 201015 yr I have no hopes for the UK this year... as good as it was last year, I don't see that the BBC took that as example TBH :(
February 22, 201015 yr This is soooooo 80s  Then again I could imagine it winning... in 1989 :kink:
February 22, 201015 yr I'm liking this :) Well, to be honest, I didn't have high expectations as this is Slovenia, and I've never been a fan of their entries (though I did like 2008). Better than a love symphony, and might grow on me some more
February 26, 201015 yr I'm listening to the leaked EMA album. Amazing so far :o I could name no less than 3 songs that would be a better choice for ESC... and i'm only on track 6.
February 26, 201015 yr Listen to the local version of Didrik's song here. It competed in the EMA. -Q7B5LWgy5c http://img.rtvslo.si/ema/uploader/Ema2010/predizbor_ema_2010.jpg It finished 3rd in the final! What an interesting contest it would be with two almost identical songs :kink:
